Traverse Check Engine light came on and vehicle sounded louder than usual w/ additional rattle. Upon inspection passenger side bracket holding two exhaust pipes together was broken at the weld. Took to Superior Chevrolet (dealer) 4/5/24 who stated right side pipe and bracket were not covered under Special Coverage Adjustment Front Exhaust Pipe N212356540 and only left side is covered despite the bracket being attached to both pipes. Awaiting part to complete repair at dealership. Advised by dealership vehicle is okay to drive until parts arrive and repair can be completed. 4/14/24 driving on I40 heard large bang from underneath vehicle, looked in rearview mirror to see the remaining portion of the bracket fly out from under vehicle and almost hit the car's windshield behind me, they had to swerve in heavy traffic to avoid having it go through their windshield. Vehicle immediately sounds like a motorcycle with no baffles, loud in the cabin and smelling of exhaust. Once stopped, climbed under vehicle to see that the complete bracket was missing from both pipes and a gaping hole in the drivers side front exhaust pipe. Bracket could have killed someone or caused a major accident while airborne on the Highway and cabin smells of exhaust.
I started to notice a noise that kind of sounded like rusty hinge on door every time i turned the steering wheel. It did not matter whether it was left or right. I took the car into the dealer because i was concern it could be something serious. The tesla service center said my upper and lower control arms were "torn" and needed to be replaced. I find this hard to believe that control arms are failing only after 35, 000 miles on the car. The car is not even 5 years old yet. I am not abusive with this car and even so this should not be happening. I have many other vehicles over the years with hundreds of thousands of miles on them and never had issues with control arms.
My vehicle did an update and after update i have received an error message “steering assist reduced”. I am unable to drive my vehicle and the wheel feels locked. I have reached out to tesla and their soonest appt is over a week from now to even look at it.
The fuel pump design to last the life of the vehicle exploded this is a 10k fix they ( extended the warranty to 120000 miles instead of replacing the bad pumps im at 1290000 miles i don’t understand how this is acceptable given the amount of issues and occurrences the fuel pump has exploded
Atlas has led headlights - which should outlast the length of any car. First, the left low beam headlight failed. The following week the right low beam headlight failed. Took the car to vw. I was told that it would at least $5,000 to have operational headlights. I asked why led headlights failed when they are designed to outlast any foreseeable length of any vehicle. Vw refused to do any diagnostic work to determine if the cause of the led failure was due to an electrical issue. (reddit mentions a problem with electric switches that would cause led failure. ) the value of my atlas is double the cost to repair the headlights. It would appear this is an electronic issue. The manufacturer has said they will not help because they do not replace headlights. When i asked about the electronic aspect of the led lights, the vw representative acted like they had zero idea the led lights were controlled by electric switches. I cannot be the only consumer out there driving an atlas (only at night) because there is no value in investing $5k on headlights for a vehicle that is only worth $10k - and led lights should outlast the vehicle.
I have the 2.5 liter engine in my 2017 Ford Fusion but it’s also experiencing the same coolant leak symptoms of other engine models of this year of vehicle. Car has no visible leaks but coolant levels keep dropping. Temp gauge goes up and down back and forth. Car seems to be sputtering while driving. Currently just passed 100,000 miles this week. I’ve had the vehicle for 7 years and it seems like recall after recall.
Upon starting the vehicle, the driver side mirror started smoking. Secured the vehicle and disconnected the battery. Removed the mirror assembly and notice the electrical wires powering the blind spot indicator of the mirror assembly was burned and melted. Picture of the damage was taken prior to removing the mirror assembly from the vehicle.
Cmbs braking malfunction. The car will brake on its own at highway speeds due to thinking you were going to crash when there are no other objects or vehicles in the roadway. Issue has become more frequent and i have found many forums and articles online of people with these issues, but my car cannot be fixed, the dealer has no idea what to do. I’ve had this issue since my car only had 18,000 miles on it last year. It is going to cause a crash. At times it brakes to the point where i am almost stopped on the highway.
Child safety locks turn on and after a point it shut off. I turn in the problem to the dealer but the problem didn’t get fix. What i understand audi is the deal take my vehicle and have it sitting in there lot and don’t fix my problem and i would have to take the vehicle 2 to 3 more times with the same problem not getting problems resolved then when i get upset and i complain then i get videos that they are working on my vehicle.
I just bought a certified used 2022 Honda Civic touring on 4/13/24 with 72,000 miles and experiencing a sticking steering wheel feeling that is most noticeable driving at high speed but also driving around the city. It gets worse the longer I drive in one session. The wheel sticks and then jerks when corrected. It feels extremely unsafe. I first noticed this issue driving home from the dealship. No warning lights or messages indicating anything was wrong. Im new to these newer vehicles so i thought I had some type of driving assist on so i googled and it seems that I am not the only person experiencing this SAFETY issue. I will be taking it into a Honda dealership to be looked at.
