The rear glass randomly shattered at a stop sign. Nice sunny day in socal 75° and clear. Our safety was not immediately in danger but we couldn’t drive the vehicle. Honda roadside came and towed it to a dealership close to our house. It was approved by the “claim adjuster” and repaired about 3 business days later. Very scary.
August 2023, my vehicle started making slight jerking motions when accelerating. I thought it shouldn’t be anything serious especially since the vehicle warning lights did not alarm. The Ford App health status for my vehicle report showed no issues. After a month of continuous weird jerking, I took the vehicle to a Ford dealership service department in walnut creek. In Sept 2023, the transmission was diagnosed to need replacement due to the torque converter. My vehicle mileage was 64,613 miles at the time of inspection by the dealership. This is way too soon for a transmission to need a repair without any warning. I believe the transmission is faulty especially since I have low wear and tear on this 2019 Ford Edge. It was purchased brand new and has not had any issue or system failure warning. The only reason I discovered this major problem is due to the odd jerking motions while driving.
Engine died while driving 45 on highway, tow to garage and was told to take to dealership because of a recall for my engine. Towed the car to the dealership and they check and are telling me that my car engine wasn't covered and i would have to paid for the repair. I was told the problem was the engine manufactured with the rod bearing issue. My safety was at risk because car died on a state highway.
I was driving my 2023 qx60 today down a 55 mile road. No one was in front of me and two cars were very far behind me. I was not by an overpass or a golf course and it was a clear sunny day today. I heard loud pop and then the tinkling of glass going down the backside of my car. I opened the sunroof to see what had happened and immediately closed it as the glass started falling into the car from the broken sunroof. I pulled over, and looked at the sunroof. There were no rocks, golf balls, or anything else that would’ve explained why the sunroof exploded. When i called infiniti to see why my brand new car sunroof exploded, i was told that that the sunroof explosion happens quite a bit to these cars and it is related to “thermal stress”. This is concerning to say the least and would seem to suggest a manufacturing defect on infiniti’s part. The car is always in the garage and it was 44° outside today. I have had at least six different cars with a sunroof and this is never happened to anyone one of them before. When researching this online, i noticed that there are several cars with the same problem. Search infinitiqx60. Com and a large forum of people are describing their exact same scenarios with their qx 60’s.
The steering assist fails. I get a waring on the dash, "stabilitak/power steering fault. Very hard to steer. There has not been and other problems. This was apparently a problem in 2015 models. I told the deal ship service dept about it being a very common problem and they said they would have to see it happen. Their labor is $225. 00 per hour. I feel this should have been recalled just as the 2015 truck were.
The vehicle's lcd screen has become delaminated which causes the control of the radio, air conditioning, navigation, and other features controlled by the "radio" portion of the car to become dysfunctional. The car will randomly beep, change air temperatures, start navigation, cause the loss of hands-free communication. This is a safety hazard as it causes the driver to be distracted in order to attend to the incessant beeping and issues related to ac/heat, navigation or radio (volume, etc. ). This appears from chrysler forums to be an issue among a large group of chrysler 300 year model 2018 owners. I am encouraging them to file a concern with your group and to ask for a recall of the car for this reason.
I was driving down the highway and a warning light came on “low oil pressure” and i lost complete power and had to pull over along side the road and have my car towed. Once it got to the mechanic shop he said my timing belt shredded and is in my oil and the belt tensioner came off and now my motor/turbo is ruined. He’s been in contact with all of the local ford dealers and we were told this is a common problem with my cars year but i was not aware of this. I am due to have my first child any day now and i can not afford $3000(+) and some of the parts are on backorder per the ford dealership and i have no transportation. I’ve included a few photos that the mechanic sent to me for this report. I can get more if needed.
While decelerating on to an exit off-ramp the car started refusing to shift and came to a stop on the side of the expressway. When i tried to pull off the road it said “transmission fluid pressure low”. At this time i am unsure if it is a sensor or the transmission.
The car engine shuts off several times a day, all the dash lights comes on and say that i am driving with the emergency transmission mode. The break is making a noise like metal against metal. My wife and kids are in risk because this is happening in the middle of a busy california freeway. I set up 2 service appointments that takes almost a month to find availability and when you finally find, they need the car for at least a week for testing, but cant provide a car loaner. No warnings before the engine stops.
While driving on freeway the tire pressure warning light came on. I started to slow down and pull over and i felt the car wobble. I pulled to the side of the road and the tire had completely failed. The sidewalls, inside and out, had square chunks completely gone along the complete sidewall.
