The contact owns a 2018 Audi A3. The contact stated after parking the vehicle, a bystander alerted the contact that there was fuel leaking from the rear passenger's side near the fuel tank. The contact later received notification of NHTSA Campaign Number: 24V110000 (Fuel System, Gasoline) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The failure mileage was approximately 62,000. VIN tool confirms parts not available.
Child safety locks turn on and after a point it shut off. I turn in the problem to the dealer but the problem didn’t get fix. What i understand audi is the deal take my vehicle and have it sitting in there lot and don’t fix my problem and i would have to take the vehicle 2 to 3 more times with the same problem not getting problems resolved then when i get upset and i complain then i get videos that they are working on my vehicle.
Unable to lock rear passenger side door, car displays "central locking malfunction" warning.
Received notice for safety recall to have pods system repaired or replaced free of charge by audi. Took my vehicle in for the recall. Audi wanted to charge me to complete this safety recall and refused to complete the recall if i didn't pay. This was bluegrass motorsports in louisville ky. They also damaged my vehicles door trim and stole money from my glove box(my fault for leaving money inside). Filed a complaint on the dealers website and was never reached out to. This is why safety recall remains open on my vehicle.
See attached document for complaint
The vehicle pre-sense stopped the vehicle due to the detection of an object however, there was no object. This happened going forward and in reverse multiple times, causing the car to come to a sudden, abrupt stop even at speeds in excess of 30mph. This resulting in my teen daughter having bruising from the seat belt. The car was taken to the dealership and the dealership recalibrated the control unit. The vehicle continues to unnecessarily activate pre-sense when in reverse, and causes the car to come to an abrupt halt despite there being no object. The system may be responding to shadows. Numerous returns to the service department continue to yield “no codes”. The pods system was recalled and this is a related system.

The alternator failed causing the vehicle to shutdown in the middle of traffic. I was on a surface road not the highway so i was able to get local police to assist. When it failed there was no car electrical system function, so i could not even turn on my emergency blinkers. This is apparently very common on audis, as the same part was used to replace the alternator…. It took a month for the dealership to get the part in stock.
Battery has a recall in place for fire hazard.. I contacted the dealership and they have no path for a repair. They have also denied my buy back request.
Car alerted us to an electrical malfunction then advise us the car was shutting down and find a place to pull over immediately. Turns out that this was an alternator failure that is very common for this car. Audi and the dealership were aware of the issue but instead of proactively fixing the problem they let me get stranded on the side of a busy highway for 90 minutes while i waited for a tow truck. They should not be allowed to play russian roulette with us driving cars with very dangerous problems.
