About once per month my car will rev when the accelerator is pushed but the car will not proceed. On multiple occasions this has put the safety of myself and other road users at significant risk. This is because i'll be attempting to pull into traffic and the car will fail to proceed. This is a known issue documented by audi in tsb #2060146/3 (https://static. Nhtsa. Gov/odi/tsbs/2023/mc-10232753-0001. Pdf). I've described the issue before to my dealership but only found out about the fix myself via researching on nhtsa's site. Further, this should clearly be a recall - the vehicle does not move when it is needed. Audi should not be charging customers for this update and it should be applied to all effected vehicles. Happy to provide any additional information needed.

2018 Audi A6

2018 Audi A6 3.0T diagnosed a coolant leak due to water pump failure at less than 43k miles on March 27, 2024. In July 2023 (at less than 39k miles), the vehicle's thermostat was replaced due to a coolant leak. These are substantial failures in terms of risk to engine damage and cost to consumer, within a time and mileage period where a consumer should not expect these issues.

2022 Audi E-TRON
  • Date of Incident: Mar-17, 2022
  • Date complaint filed: Mar-26, 2024
  • Failed components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

There is a recall for this vehicle for battery overheating and vehicle catching on fire. Audi is unable to remedy this issue at this time. I notice routinely that the charging wire used to charge this vehicle becomes extra hot during charging. I have discussed this issue with audi but they claim they cannot help me at this time. I'm worried about danger of fire. Please help.

2014 Audi A4
  • Date of Incident: Mar-01, 2024
  • Date complaint filed: Mar-25, 2024
  • Failed components: EXTERIOR LIGHTING

The third brake light intermittently stops working. Being that it is intermittent, it tells me the led and circuitry are working. Also, a warning alert will illuminate on my dash instrument cluster and not when the light is working again. Upon further searching on-line, there is an issue with a solder joint cracking. I believe this is the case because when i jiggle the connector, the light will illuminate. Since this light is required by law, this is a very important safety issue. And a rather expensive one since the replacement part alone is $150-$200.

2018 Audi Q7
  • Date of Incident: Mar-01, 2024
  • Date complaint filed: Mar-25, 2024
  • Failed components: SUSPENSION

Rear passenger side coil spring broke. Vehicle has 85k miles. Happened when traveling on a highway - heard a loud bang. Car still ran however sitting 1' lower on that side. Repair estimate in the $1500 range. Research in online forums shows this is happening to a lot of 2017-18 q7s. Definitely a design/component flaw.

2018 Audi Q5
  • Date of Incident: Mar-23, 2024
  • Date complaint filed: Mar-23, 2024
  • Failed components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM and UNKNOWN OR OTHER

-Car shut down (engine off, battery still functioning) while driving. Car went into neutral. -Lost power steering and other functions after about 20 seconds of the engine shutting down. -Immediate life-threatening danger while driving to us and surrounding drivers and pedestrians -no inspection or police report yet. -the car has not been driven since the incident and so the problem has not been reproduced yet. Upon inspection of the trunk area (2018 Audi Q5), we found about 4 inches of water. This has been attributed to clogged sunroof drains causing water to flow into the trunk and short out electrical components.

2018 Audi S5
  • Date of Incident: Mar-02, 2024

I received a coolant overheating message, pulled to side of road. Let vehicle cool off although it just showed coolant warning and actual engine temperature showed normal along with oil temperature. Started car back up and it was ok, drove about a mile, engine started steaming, white smoke out of exhaust, system failure had to pull off and be towed. Engine is destroyed at 72,833 miles.
