Remedy is still unavailable. Nhtsa released recall in october 2023 and bmw notified me of the recall in december 2023. It has been 6 months since the initial recall without remedy which i consider to be an unreasonable period of time. I am concerned that this issue could cause an accident as stated in the recall notice.
The contact owns a 2024 bmw xm. The contact stated when driving 60 mph the vehicle was shaking. The roll over, chassis and improper steering warning light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to the dealer several times for the shaking. The vehicle was repaired by removing and replacing the tires. However, the failure recurred. The also stated the control arm needed to be replaced, however, the part was not available. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 5,200.
Motorcycle has 45000miles and the transmission started to stutter in 4th gear, the symptoms match the recalled transmission for 2017 bmw k1600. This is very dangerous and in 4th gear the vehicle is traveling at around 50mph, when applying throttle the whole bike bucks and becomes unstable
I was driving on a windy road and my car started making noise from the engine. The car stalled and would not start again, so i had to get a shop to tow my car. Bmw has not fixed my car and it’s been broken for 4 1/2 months.
The contact owns a 2011 bmw x3. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 23v707000 (engine and engine cooling); however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available.
After spending 500 miles on the motorcycle, having spent money on a set of new tires (supposedly was the fix) even and i even had the dealer look over the motorcycle, i have came to the conclusion that there is a serious engineering issue with this motorcycle. At speeds above 55mph, the motorcycle is having a steering oscillation issue. Basically, it does not track straight and exhibits a wobble. This can happen at any time, even on open highways, in traffic it seems to be worse. It can feel like it is becoming uncontrollable at times. This has been happening since mile #1 of the motorcycle. I have spoken with other owners and this seems to be an issue for others as well. There is documented video of this on youtube. Please investigate and determine why this is happening.
Yesterday morning 3/24/24 , car stalled on highway with fuel pump message on dashboard. Car would not start and had to be towed.
The contact owns a 2011 bmw x6. The contact stated while driving the vehicle there was a loss of power. The check engine light was illuminated. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where the vehicle was diagnosed and the mechanic stated the timing gears failed. The vehicle was not repaired due to the part not being available. The contact stated the dealer has the part but will not sell it to the contact due to the part being under a recall. The contact referenced bmw recall b110923 as a possible solution however, the vin was not included in the recall. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 94,000.
I have been getting p0420 code over 2 years now. Loss of power while driving caused multiple times sudden stop and slow speed. I328 has recall but mine is not on the recall list. I tried everything to fix it but the light still comes on. And also my car is having the navigation display delaminating. It seems like common problem for bmw owners. There are no recalls.
Passenger-restraint system this light has turned on and i see that certain bmw’s had recalls on this exact issue. Not sure why my 2013 328i was not included in the recall.
