My daughter ended up getting the seat belt twisted around her waist when she was trying to get out. The seatbelt was locked tightly around her waist and she could not get out. I tried turning off the car, unlocking the car, and pulling the seat release but the seatbelt would not unlock. We called the local fire department and the seatbelt had to be cut off.
2016 Buick Enclave HAD A SERVICE AIRBAG LIGHT/MESSAGE ILLUMINATED ON DASHBOARD CONTINUOUSLY. I BROUGHT THE VEHICLE INTO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A DIAGNOSTIC TEST & THE ISSUE IS THE WIRING HARNESS FOR THE PASSENGER SIDE AIRBAG. WHEN THE TECHNICIAN MOVES THE WIRING HARNESS THE LIGHT COMES & GOES. ADDITIONALLY, I FOUND SERVICE BULLETINS TALKING ABOUT THE SAME PROBLEM FOR VARIOUS GM PRODUCTS.
While driving the car the electronic parking brake turned on (without the driver commanding it), stopping the rear wheels from rotating freely, making it very difficult to drive the car. The car was in motion when this happened. This has happened 3 times, on the second time the dealer was able to see the problem and performed a "calibration" but the problem happened again about 1 month later (last night 7/23/19) and left the car stuck in the middle of an intersection, requiring a tow truck to move the vehicle - we took the car to the dealer. The car is currently at the dealer awaiting a diagnosis. I have also contacted gm reporting the problem but they are saying without seeing the problem they won't be able to do anything. This is a relatively new car, 2018, bought in march 2018 and has 24500 miles. Pressing the parking brake release button did not release the parking brake when the problem happened, nor did the automatic brake release process work. There was an error message on the dashboard reporting "service parking brake"
After the vehicle is started, with the engine running, if a door is closed or opened/closed anything plugged into the aux outlet will short out and reset (i. E. Radar detector will reboot as if power supply was interrupted) and/or if the factory installed dvd players are powered on, they will turn off. Does not qualify under the lemon law because gm has been investigating a similar issue since 01/24/2019 with no current resolution or path forward. Gm advises dealers to attempt no repairs at this time and expect the consumer to "live" with a potential electrical short in the vehicle. Gm pit5653 explains a portion of the issue, but not all. Pit5653 applies to (10) different gm manufactured vehicles.
My car was repaired by a dealership in texas. First they said it was a fuel injector. They replaced that. Then they said that that didn? T work so they said i had a cracked head. They replaced that. I brought it home to shreveport, la. And it had gas fumes coming of of the a/c vents. The dealership here in bossier city that they put in a broken part. They supposedly fixed the problem. I picked the car up and it still had gas fumes. I took it back. They smelled it. Kept it for 2 days. They couldn? T find the problem so the kept driving it and running it until they couldn? T smell it any longer. I picked it up again and i still smell it. I brought it back but they are denying that they do. Even lied to gm customer service that they rode around with me. I had a horrible headache when i returned home with the car. It? S been parked for over a week. I am terrified to drive it scared it will catch on fire or my children and i will get sick. Please help me. I have tried working with gm but they are no help. They give me the run around. The mechanics have also lied so many times regarding my car to gm customer service. I need someone in my corner. I haven? T been able the drive my car sine 5/16/2019. It went to the 1st dealership on 5/18/2019. I drove about a total of 1. 5 since.
SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING MY 2015 Buick Enclave THE POWER STEERING PUMP HAD TO BE REPLACED. ABOUT 15K MILES LATER, THE POWER STEERING HOSE NEEDS TO BE REPLACED. I HAVE RESEARCHING INTO THIS AND IT LOOKS LIKE THIS SYSTEM HAS BEEN FAULTY FOR NUMEROUS VEHICLES OF THIS MODEL. THE PERSON AT THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THIS CAN CAUSE A FIRE IF LEFT UNTREATED. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY CONCERN AND SHOULD BE LOOKED INTO.
Service side detection system light has been on and will not turn off. This is a well known issue on these and other gm vehicles and cannot be overrode and is very expensive to fix.
During normal commute, vehicle began bucking badly, would not accelerate and began rolling backwards. Check engine light illuminated. Shut vehicle down, restarted, and the problem seemed to clear. Brought vehicle to dealership, found codes p0011, p0014, p0021 and p0024 set. Dealership contacted gm, who acknowledged the issue but offered no fix. They are still studying the issue and have no resolution. Dealership cleared codes and released vehicle back to us. Issue may return at any time. How can i trust my family in a vehicle that may suddenly, without warning, begin bucking, stop accelerating and cause an accident? This is an unsafe condition that gm needs to address. I am disappointed that they have no resolution. Dealership referenced bulletin pip5569e, so gm acknowledges the issue. I found references from almost a year ago to this issue via google - that? S very disconcerting that, in this time, gm cannot identify a fix.
When driving on expressway car drops to limp mode i have returned to several dealers no codes can be found. Notified gm office about problem. Only solution is to give me a 2000 dollar certificate to buy a new gm product. Safety problem when you have a 70 year old driving 70 mph in high speed lane and it drops to limp mode. I also have several photo's of the dash board warnings about traction control and stablizer i don't know how to send documents on the computer. It has happen more tha 10 times, i stopped wasting my time for something they can. T find. Traveling at highway speeds car suddenly shifted itself into neutral and could not be engage back to any drive gears. Brakes were inoperable and accelerator was in operable. Finally came to a stop by coasting to the shoulder and waiting for speed to drop far enough to get vehicle to go into park.
The seat belt cable completely shared off where it attaches to floor. Came apart when trying to use
The passenger? Service airbag? Light has been coming on. A dealer has looked at it twice now without a successful repair. The most recent was on 5/24. Supposedly a poor connection at a seat connector was found, code b0021, and wires were cut and spliced together. 2 days later the light came back on just like last time. Our concern is that if we were to be in an accident would the airbag deploy?
The rear door to my vehicle will not stay closed so i have to turn off the auto door opener. I have to open it by hand and not by the electric key opener. I was on a trip to florida and going 70 miles per hour and the back came open. I took it to colonial auto where i purchased it and he told me that it would be between 150. 00 - 175. 00 to fix it because he said that he thought the lack may be out of line that he had several other people with the same problem. If this problem is reported to buick than they need to recall them to be checked or fixed. I don't think i will ever buy another buick and will not buy another auto from this dealer. I went out to get in my car from work and the back was opened. What a joke this car has become.
May 11, 2011 i went to work and turned my car off only the car did not stop it continued to run without the key in the switch. I waited almost an hour and tried it again and it turned off. When i left work it cranked right up but when i got home, it would not turn off. I called onstar and they told me before i had it towed, i needed to disconnect the battery. I called a mechanic to come to my house and he disconnected alternator and battery and it continued to run. He then had to disconnect the cable on the power box under the hood before it would shut off. I called triple a to have it towed to abernathy chervelot and buick in lincolnton, north carolina.
Right around 36000 miles my power steering pump had to be replaced because fluid was visible beneath the car and the source was determined to be the high pressure hoses and pump. At nearly 83,480 miles when the combo switch had to be replaced it was noticed there was a significant rack and pinion leak. I believe the earlier issue is somehow connected to early failure of the rack and pinion. Regardless, the tech said there was a 2016 with 52,000 miles on it that needed to have the rack and pinion replaced. He admitted that there is likely a fault in the part causing them to deteriorate before they should.
Service side detection system. Side and rear alerts do not work. Notice comes up on dashboard every time i start the car. Happened 200 miles after warranty is over at 50,000 miles.
Note: mileage is 1240 miles, just purchased three months ago with 54 miles on it and shipped to germany (dod civilian). While in europe, i am using the vehicles' "metric" setting (kph versus mph), which switches the speedometer to read kph and auto tunes the engine to the appropriate levels to match kph. I have been driving this vehicle for the last three weeks until the issue happened last night around 1830 hours cet. Issue: while accelerating and tuning left from a stop (stop light with the city), the engine suddenly loss power then jerked into a lower gear, but somehow got stuck in 3rd gear restricting max speed of about 25-30 mph running at 5000 rpms. After several attempts to stop, start, and proceed, i found the vehicle seem to be slipping when shifting from 2nd to 3rd gear, but would not go beyond 3rd gear causing the engine to strain and rev at an unsafe levels. Tried several times to shift to "l" to manually engage the engine, but it kept changing back to "d" automatic. Also noted that when the vehicle reaches the next programmed gear shift (e. G. 2nd gear to 3rd gear) it then jerks, stalls for about 2-3 seconds, then suddenly engages 3rd gear running at extremely high rpms and never shifts beyond that. Now check engine light is on. Vehicle has never been in an accident, damaged, or wrecked.
Takata recall?? My service air bag light came on, but no recall is issued for my vin. The vehicle was parked overnight then the next morning when i started it the air bag light is on. No accidents. I had the sensors check and a scan done on he car with no indications.
Front brakes locking up at any speed. Replaced the master cylinder. 48 hours later it happened again
While driving a sensor came on for staiblitraks and no all wheel drive mode was disabled and abs came on. Car started to jerk or lunge forward numerous times, until car got up to speed. After i shut the car off and my wife & son who was in a bowling tournement, we came out and started the car and i noticed that when i put the brakes on at first there wasn? T any till i started moving.
