2016 Chevrolet Colorado

Operator reported that under braking, they lost all power assist to the brake pedal and brake pedal was extremely hard to push. This resulted in extended stopping distance and difficulty slowing the vehicle down. It was found that the vacuum pump had failed. We are a large utility fleet, and this issue has occurred a number of times to our Chevrolet Colorado/GMC Canyon vehicles and we deem this a safety issue. These incidents have been reported to the OEM and we recently received the attached reply, "We submitted a “Speak up for Safety Campaign” to our internal quality team for review. These reviews are conducted to determine if there is a manufacturing or design defect that could impact quality. After review, the case was closed with no action to be taken." The operators receive no warning prior to the failure.

2015 Chevrolet Camaro

The a/c blows warm air because the air box used to control the a/c was made with a flimsy part. The part is cheap to replace, but the repair is over $4,000 because of the vehicle’s design. The a/c is controlled by an air box under the dash board but the box cannot be worked on without first removing the dash board and the dash cannot be worked on without removing the windshield. I was told that there was nothing i could have done to create or prevent the problem, it’s just not a sturdy material used. And there is nothing that can be done to prevent this from reoccurring, which would be another $4,000+. In fresno’s over 110 degree summer heat, driving around without an a/c is a health concern. Also, the vehicle won’t release the key from the ignition when it is turned off. I have to wait up to a minute for the car to release it.

I bought my 2011 equinox new then in 2013 the gas pedal went to the floor and stuck down on a two lane road and i could not control the speed as we react 90 i shut down the vechical took it to the dealership the next day the chevolet co had the dealership dump the on board computer and then down load a new program this worked until the other day we were coming home from taking another couple to there dentist appointments on the way home the gas pedal sucked right to the floor again the speed rose to the 90 we were on a four lane i had cars behinde me but not in front i keep trying to get the foot up i was afraid if i shut it offf we would get rear ended every one was scared i told them what was going on as the speeds keeped increasing trying to hit the brakes to slow some down and taping on the gas pedal i tried prying the pedal up with my foot and after the third attemp it poped up. I call chevolet they said they were not going to do anything about it i told them this is a big safty issue there commet was the vechical is out of warranty and miles i ony have 103k on it and very well maintained with birdnow chevorlet great dealership chevrolet is not taking these gas pedal sticking down serious i read were there are several vechical with this same problem and it will take people getting hurt or killed before something down thank you

To whom it may concern, i am writing to express my deep disappointment and frustration regarding my recent experience with my 2017 chevrolet cruze. It has come to my attention that there is a known issue with the piston in the engine of this model, and unfortunately, i have fallen victim to it. This issue has caused significant inconvenience and expense for me. As a loyal chevrolet customer, i expect better quality and reliability from your vehicles. I urge you to address this matter promptly and take responsibility for the faulty piston in the engine of the 2017 chevrolet cruze. 2019 Chevrolet Malibu

I am making a complaint because there is a major deficiency that has put my safety at risk. The component of the vehicle that has a defect is the transmission. When the car is shifted in drive it will either stall and jerk forward, not jerk forward and not move forward from seconds to minutes at a time, and/or move forward about 50ft and stall again. I was making a right turn on a major road, speed limit being 40 mph and the vehicle stalled and did not go forward until 20-30 seconds later. Vehicles were able to see me before getting closer and were able to change lanes however this is unacceptable. I had my two year old nephew in the car and this could have been a fatal accident. I have taken it to twice to be repaired and this problem has yet to be a fix. I can get invoices and documents to show the “repairs” however this problem exist and needs an solution.

My blind spot detectors went out, now as a result most of the electrical stuff no longer works. The car powers on and drains the battery randomly and the speedometer doesn’t work. Every light comes on from front camera, abs, and even power steering. I didn’t feel safe taking my kids to school and now i don’t feel i should pay $1,300 out of pocket.

2020 Chevrolet EQUINOX

Adaptive cruise turn off and vehicle immediately decelerates. When traveling at highway speed with someone following closely behind you there is no warning that you’re decelerating. Also when this happens all cameras are off.

Sudden loss of power. Driving on freeway. Speed decreased by 25 mph. Just about avoided a rear end accident. Have seen that 2016 onwards volts have experienced this malfunction. Request that it be noted that this is a 2013 model with less than 60,000 miles. Have already had the latest programming done by chevy.

2021 Chevrolet Tahoe

2 ISSUES - 1) vehicle repaired 5 times for "transmission" problem by replacing wiring harnesses. On 5th attempt, the GM factory part or the technician caused the Tahoe to catch fire. Worst part is that it happened 1 hour after test driving and parking the car at their dealership, thankfully, I would normally have driven it home and it would have destroyed my home too. GM investigated and was unable to determine cause. 2) each time the "transmission" error occurred the GM car went into what they call the "limp" mode. The car immediately loses speed control and drifts to about 35 mph until you have control of the accelerator. I was on an interstate going +70 mph to pass a semi and immediately after passing the car went into Limp Mode, the semi nearly rear ended me and then passed me blowing his horn and cursing me. GM could certainly correct this latter issue by creating a warning on the screen that gives the driver ample time to pull over and address the problem as they do when DEF fluid (this was a diesel) is low and will give warning to add DEF or reduce speed after so many additional miles are driven. The former issue needs to be addressed immediately too, I've noted 4 other drivers on social media that had similar fires. Both of these issues could have resulted in serious injury to me or my family.
