Car shuts off abruptly when stopped or at times when speed is decreased to almost parked. This typically happens at red lights or when car is going under 10 mpg. It? S happened in bumper-to-bumper traffic. I have to put it in park and restart the push start. This has been going since last summer (2019) or so.
Car hit a deer at 50 mph. Airbags did not deploy. See pictures of damage to vehicle.
Vehicle has stalled 4 times now in the past week or so. It has passed inspections at firestone and the oil change shop and there are no areas with suggested maintenance or repairs. The vehicle stalls after being in park or having my foot on the brake and not moving, and then attempting to accelerate/move again. All 4 times i have been on a level street or parking lot, with the wheels straight, after the engine had been running for several minutes up to an hour. I have to put it in park, turn off the vehicle, and then restart the engine again to continue driving.
Abs and traction control light came on after being parked ,no codes show up when diagnosed, heard there was recall for that but it doesn't show for my car
I HAVE A 2018 Cruze THAT I WAS DRIVING ON A 4 LANE HIGHWAY ON TOP OF A MOUNTAIN, THE BRAKES WENT OUT WITH ME AND MY 6 MONTH OLD IN CAR, I WAS ABLE TO GET TO SHOULDER, TOWED TO CHEVY, THEY SAID IT WAS A FAULTY BRAKE PUMP, AND CHARGED ME 500 TO FIX IT. THEN LESS THAN 2 WEEKS LATER, SAME MOUNTAIN, SAME THING, TOWED TO THE SAME CHEVY, THEY SAID THAT THE REPLACEMENT PUMP HAD EXPLODED AND IT WAS CAUSED BY ENGINE PISTON ISSUES, AND WANT 5 GRAND TO FIX IT. I BELIEVE THAT CHEVY BROKE THE CAR THE FIRST TIME AND BESIDES THE FACT, EXPLODING BRAKE PUMPS, 2 IN A ROW IS VERY SCARY. LUCKILY ME AND MY CHILD ARE STILL ALIVE TO BE COMPLAINING ABOUT IT, BUT WE SERIOUSLY CAME VERY CLOSE TO BEING KILLED BY THESE FAULTY BRAKES TWICE. I DON'T KNOW IF THEY LIED ABOUT THE REPAIR OR IF IT REALLY IS TWO EXPLODING BRAKE PUMPS IN A ROW, BUT EITHER WAY, THESE EXPLODING BRAKES PUMPS ARE GOING TO KILL SOMEONE AND IT WAS ALMOST ME AND MY 6 MONTH OLD BABY. THE CHEVROLET DEALER IS AUTO NATION IN VALENCIA CA.
Driving on the freeway at 65 mph and my bumper flew off.
I was driving on the highway through the mountains when i heard a pop. I was going down a steep hill and picking up speed and the service brake assist light came on. I tried to slow down the car but it was not slowing g down. I started pumping the brakes and saw i wasn't slowing down fast enough. Luckily there was a run away truck ramp so i swerved into a construction zone and onto the truck ramp. Once i was slowing down finally i put on the emergency brake and came to a screeching halt.

MY VALVE COVER HAS WENT BAD AND STARTED LEAKING OIL AROUND MY SPARK PLUGS. UPON FURTHER INVESTIGATION OF MY OWN I HAVE FOUND OUT THAT THIS IS A COMMON ISSUE FOR MANY YEAR MODELS OF THE CHEVY Cruze. MY VALVE COVER IS AN UPDATED VERSION OF THE PLASTIC ON THE 2015 AND OLDER AND IS NOW A METAL ONE. I SPOKE WITH A LOCAL MECHANIC WHO INFORMED ME HE HAS REPLACED 75 NEW VALVE COVERS THAT GENERAL MOTORS HAS BUILT A NEW VALVE COVER TO REPLACE THE METAL ONE ON MY CAR. ALSO THIS METAL VALVE COVER HAS CAUSED MY CAR TO START SMOKING HEAVILY WHEN I DROVE IT TO MAKE ME HAVE TO HAVE MY CAR TOWED HOME UNTIL I CAN GET THE ISSUE FIXED.
I received a waiting notification stating? Service braking system? While i was driving on the freeway and then my cars brake pedal began to stick and vibrate while there being nothing wrong with the pads. Rotors, brake lines, or brake fluid. It could? Ve caused me to get into an accident and hurt others or myself due to this faulty brake system.
I OWN A 2016 Chevrolet Cruze WITH <100K MILES, NO ACCIDENT HISTORY, AND NO PREVIOUS ISSUES. I BOUGHT THE CAR NEW FROM THE DEALERSHIP AND HAVE BEEN THE ONLY OWNER. I WAS DRIVING STRAIGHT ON A RESIDENTIAL STREET (<30 MPH) WHEN THE CAR STARTED PUTTERING AND SHAKING. THE CAR SUDDENLY SHUT OFF RIGHT IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD, AND I HAD TO SWERVE TO THE SHOULDER TO AVOID CRASHING. UPON BRINGING THE CAR TO THE CERTIFIED CHEVY DEALERSHIP, WE LEARNED THE CAR HAD A DAMAGED PISTON AND CRACKED CYLINDER WALL. THE ONLY FIX WAS TO COMPLETELY REPLACE THE ENGINE. IT SHOULD BE NOTED THE OIL HAD BEEN CHANGED JUST THE WEEK PREVIOUS. I KNOW CHEVY IS AWARE OF THIS ISSUE BECAUSE THEY RELEASED SAFETY BULLETIN PIP5421F BACK IN 2018 REGARDING THIS VERY ISSUE. I ALSO KNOW THERE IS AN ACTIVE LAWSUIT IN THE STATE OF CALIFORNIA, BUT THIS DOESN'T APPLY TO US IN MINNESOTA. I FIND IT UNACCEPTABLE THAT CHEVROLET IS AWARE OF PREMATURE ENGINE FAILURE IN THEIR VEHICLES, AND HAVE NOT ISSUED A RECALL, EVEN THOUGH IT POSES A SAFETY HAZARD.
The engine light keeps coming on. There doesn't appear to be anything wrong with the engine. The light will clear itself eventually, but then it will come back on again. This has been going on for about 1 year.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNED A 2015 Chevrolet Cruze. THE VIN WAS NOT PROVIDED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE HER HUSBAND WAS DRIVING ABOUT 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE REAR-ENDED ANOTHER VEHICLE. THE AIR BAGS DID NOT DEPLOY. THERE WAS NO WARNING. THERE WAS NO INJURY. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS DAMAGED AND WAS TOWED AWAY BY THE INSURANCE COMPANY. THE INSURANCE COMPANY HAD NOT MADE A DECISION ON THE STATUS OF THE VEHICLE. THE DEALER AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE NOT CALLED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 55,593.
Fuel inectors: at times it seems the car gets sluggish, and fights to get gas to the injectors. At times, there isn't enough power to keep the car going. My car was on an open highway when i experienced this issue.
I JUST HAD WORK DONE ON THE ENGINE FOR THE 5TH TIME IN THE LAST 2 YEARS. ALL REPAIRS ARE RELATED TO THE ENGINE OVERHEATING OR NOT REGULATING PROPERLY. THE FIRST TIME THERE WAS SMOKE COMING FROM THE ENGINE. THE REPAIRS TO THE ENGINE HAVE COST ME ALMOST $3000 AND THAT IS NOT INCLUDING NORMAL MAINTENANCE. THE MOST RECENT ISSUE IS THE TURBOCHARGER BYPASS VALVE. I HAD IT REPLACED ON 6/27/20 AND THE LIGHT CAME BACK ON WITH THE SAME CODE ON 6/28/20. WHEN I HAD WORK DONE AT THE CHEVY DEALERSHIP IN AUGUST/SEPTEMBER OF 2019 I WAS TOLD THAT THIS IS A COMMON PROBLEM THEY ARE SEEING IN ALMOST ALL CHEVY CruzeS. I?VE BEEN TOLD THIS AT 5+ DIFFERENT DEVICE CENTERS WHILE GETTING REPAIRS DONE ON THE ENGINE OR GENERAL MAINTENANCE DONE. THE CAR HASN?T EVEN REACHED 100,000 MILES AND I?M BEING TOLD I PROBABLY NEED A NEW ENGINE. THIS IS NOT OK. I?VE BOUGHT AND REPAIRED THIS CAR AT CHEVY DEALERSHIPS. ALL MY ENGINE ISSUES HAPPEN WHEN THE CAR IS IN MOTION, AND THE CAR SHAKES A LOT DUE TO THE ENGINE OVERHEATING EVEN THOUGH THE TEMPERATURE GAGE READING IS NORMAL. SOME OF MY REPAIRS WERE DONE WITH THE WRONG VIN NUMBER RECORDED. THE REPAIRS WERE RECORDED UNDER MY 2014 CHEVY CRUZE. IT SHARED THE SAME LICENSE PLATE BUT THE 2014 CRUZE WAS TOTALED IN 2017.

My car will not accelerate at times causing me to give it more gas which then cause the car to rev up to a high rpm (4000-5000 ) and then lurch forward. Also, at times while trying to maintain speed, my car will jerk back and forth until i give it more gas so it up shifts. My car is under factory warranty and it seems that the dealership is trying to brush it off because the computer says there is nothing wrong which prompted me to file a complaint with gm which still ins't resolved.
