I drive to work for half hour. When driving the vehicle hard shifts between 30-35mph for no apparent reason, on the highway or in city, the whole car hard shifts and the driver and passenger can both hear and feel it. They test it and say nothing is wrong with any transmission,etc. They refuse to fix even under warranty. The car warms up for 15 minutes before driven anywhere and the temperature doesn? T affect it, it divvies both summer and winter now for 3 years!! Now, it pops up awd service and they say it should have no reason to be displaying it. I? M stuck with a vehicle unsafe for my kids because no one can find an issue!
The vehicle is only 5 years old, we came from a short 4 days vacation in elko nevada, we are heading home but after passing donner pass approaching colfax the engine started making a constant clicking noise when starting the engine, rpm shoots up but the vehicle struggles to speed up and come to the point that the vehicle is not moving anymore even it was in the drive mode unless you try to restart the engine, then it will move just a few meters away and the same story. That? S why i decided to call on aaa towing service even because it didn? T work out. Need your help and assistance regarding this matter.
My car keeps stopping in the middle of traffic. It has been serviced, but what ever the service department is doing its not working. This car is unsafe and as caused danger to my type 1 diabetic husband and myself. The car is now in my drive way. I have been having problems with this since since i purchased it in february 2017, and they never fix the problem. The car jerks and stops and starts when it want to. I have changed the batteries in the remote several times and have taking it to three different places for a diagnosis, and chrysler cant seem to fix the problem when they built the car. I need help. I am still paying on this piece of a car. Everyone that has this car says they car does the same thing. So i know there is a recall for this vehicle. This car has stop and will not start at all.
TL THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 Chrysler 200. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE GEAR SHIFTER UNEXPECTEDLY SHIFTED INTO NEUTRAL, THE VEHICLE THEN STALLED WHILE DRIVING 60 MPH. THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED HOWEVER, THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHEN THE VEHICLE SHIFTED INTO THIRD GEAR, THE VEHICLE INADVERTENTLY SHIFTED BACK INTO NEUTRAL AND STALLED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT AFTER SETTING THE CRUISE CONTROL TO A SPECIFIC SPEED, THE VEHICLE ACCELERATED INDEPENDENTLY ABOVE THE SET SPEED WITHOUT DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE CONTACT MANUALLY TURNED OFF THE CRUISE CONTROL. THERE WERE NO WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT TAKEN TO A DEALER. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SHIFTING INTO NEUTRAL WAS DUE TO A POWER DISTRIBUTION FAILURE AND THAT THE SOFTWARE NEEDED TO BE REPROGRAMMED. THE DEALER ALSO INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT NO TROUBLE CODES WERE FOUND ON THE CRUISE CONTROL AND TO TAKE THE VEHICLE TO AN AUTHORIZED CHRYSLER DEALER FOR ASSISTANCE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NOT COVERED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V529000 (POWER TRAIN). THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 60,000.
