THE PARTS TO DO THE REPAIRS WERE UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIRS AS THE RECALL NOTICE WAS RECEIVED OVER A YEAR AGO. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED SEVERAL TIMES AND WAS UNABLE TO CONFIRM WHEN THE PARTS WERE TO BECOME AVAILABLE. WHILE DRIVING VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE CHECK ENGINE AND BRAKE WARNING INDICATORS ILLUMINATED. ALSO, THE VEHICLE LOST POWER ONCE THE CONTACT RELEASED THE BRAKE PEDAL. THE CONTACT WOULD HAVE TO TURN THE VEHICLE OFF AND BACK ON IN ORDER FOR THE VEHICLE TO RESUME NORMAL OPERATION. AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC PERFORMED A SECOND DIAGNOSTIC TEST, BUT FOUND NO FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 53,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.
