The vehicle is an electric and gas hybrid vehicle. While driving the vehicle at highway speeds, the vehicle goes completely dead. There is no power to accelerate, no power steering, reduced braking. This happened in june of 2020 and the vehicle had to be towed to the dealership. The dealership had the vehicle for approx. 3 weeks to repair and a new electrical inverter was installed. A similar event happened on 04-13-2021, however this time once the vehicle went dead and the vehicle coasted to a stop, after trying to turn the vehicle back on it was again under power. The vehicle was able to be cautiously driven to the dealership and at the time of writing this it is being services for this issue. In both the june 2020 and current situation, there was an error code stating "service charging system". In both circumstances, this has occurred at highway speeds with significant urban traffic. My wife was driving the vehicle this last time with our child in the vehicle. When this happened she was on a one lane express lane where people travel at the highest highway speeds. She was so concerned about getting struck by another vehicle she considered having both of them depart the vehicle and cross multiple lanes of traffic to get to safety. It is extremely dangerous for the people in the vehicle and for cars around the stalled vehicle. Thankfully they did not get struck.

Intermittent stopping of rear ac/heating unit.

The power steering would go out, a notice would come up stating " power steering unavailable", then the power steering would work for about 60 seconds and go out again and then repeat the problem. This just starting happening on 4/10/21. We had just gotten into the van and started driving, we went about 1/2 mile, it happened a total of 4 times. We turned around and brought the vehicle back home and it happened 2 more times

Issue with horn, lights, coolent, engine gaskets, park brakes sticking, turning signal,, electrical al connected some how but 4 chrysler dealers and they can't duplicate it even with pics and video i've shown. Paying for car i can't use. Any other similar issues or am i the only one driving the ghost car.

From a stop at a stop light, when light turned green accelerated to about 18 mph (going straight through light) then lost all power (with accelerator still depressed) while in middle of the intersection. At that same time a notification displayed on the dashboard for about 5 seconds stating "adaptive cruise control (acc) off". After about 5 seconds notification disappeared and power returned to vehicle. This exact issue happened twice in the same day.

When we shut the sliding door electronicly. It opens back up on its own. It beeps and then opens again. Sometimes we shut the door go in a store and the door is open cause it just opens on its own.

Repeated, video documented occurences of vehicle stalling, losing power steering, and losing all driver-assist features, to include traction control, blind spot monitoring, power steering, forward collision avoidance, adaptive cruise control, airbags, and other systems. The problem has repeatedly occurred when the vehicle is in motion; has occurred on a highway as well as in parking lots. The vehicle will suddenly exhibit 'haywire' behavior, which includes fuel and power gauges randomly fluctuating up and down, and all above safety system warnings intermittedly indicating they are offline. In extreme scenarios, power steering will be lost. Additionally, in once scenario, the 'haywire' behavior precluded the ability to turn the vehicle off without resorting to disconnecting hard-wire battery connections. Multiple videos have been made documenting the behavior. Previous attempts to resolve with manufacturer resorted in no corrective action due to 'failure to duplicate' the issue, despite having video showing the occurrence. Originally brought to dealer and nhtsa attention in 2020 (nhtsa complaint #11292415). Dealer has done nothing to resolve the issue and in the past week the issue has recurred, now more consistently than the incident previously reported. Within the past week, the vehicle has stalled twice, resulting in complete loss of power steering. The "haywire" behavior continues, with persistent warnings and loss of essential systems, and the "haywire" behavior increases distractions by imposing false blindspot warning indicator lights and intermittently changing brightness of the entire electronic displays at random, as well as persistent and intermittent loss of functionality of essential safety systems, including airbags and other driver safety features. Car stops fine at first but if you are stopped long enough the brake pedal will push towards you and the car will begin to roll even when pressing hard on pedal. This is accompanied by a hissing noise. I have to place the vehicle in park to stop. This problem doesn't happen every time but has happened about 5 times in the last 30 days.

Countless episodes when on slippery conditions and using regenerative braking, usually going down a hill trying to maintain speed with steady moderate break pedal pressure. When i encounter these slippery conditions the regenerative brakes rapidly decrease their force (or entirely loose braking) for about 1 second. If i am on a longer stretch of slippery conditions (packed snow, ice) then this repeats at about 1 second intervals. This has occurred at speeds ranging from 10-35 mph. If i press harder the abs kicks in, because the occurs on steep hills, instead of maintaining speed or slowing down, the effect of gravity leads to an acceleration.

I was driving in stop-n-go traffic between 0-25 mph for about 10 minutes, when the car stop responding to acceleration. The engine was still on. I was lucky to be able to pull over to the left shoulder, but there was a lot of traffic behind me, and could have been rear-ended with my family inside the vehicle. Once i pulled over, i saw that the "engine fault", "parking brake fault" lights had come on, and the dash displayed "traction control disable". There were other messages that came up. I tried to put the car in "park", but the shifter didn't respond. I turned off the vehicle and started it back up. All the fault lights were still on, and the shifter was blinking between "p" and "l" for no reason. I shut off the engine again, and attempted to restart a second time, with the same result. I shut off the engine again and waited for about 3 minutes before restarting. This time i was able to put the car into d, and go to the dealer to check up. Needless to say, this was very dangerous, not knowing if the car could malfunction again and if i would lose control again. I have taken this vehicle to the dealer 3 times before regarding a rough gear change at low speed. Each time the dealer updated the program on the transmission control module (tcm) per chrysler factory bulletin, and told me to drive it and eventually the computer will "learn" my driving habit (as if somehow i am at fault for accelerating the vehicle). On this occasion, the dealer replaced the tcm, but gave me no assurances that these problems would not occur again with the new tcm. Unless chrysler can explain what was the problem, and what they did to fix it with the new tcm, i feel there is a safety concern/risk with this vehicle.

TL THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 Chrysler Pacifica. THE CONTACT STATED WHILE DRIVING AT VARIOUS SPEEDS, THE STEERING WHEEL WOULD VEER TO THE RIGHT MAKING THE VEHICLE DIFFICULT TO STEER. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD ISSUES WITH THE START/STOP SYSTEM. THE CONTACT STATED THE START/STOP SYSTEM MALFUNCTION WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO SOUTHFORK CHRYSLER DODGE JEEP RAM (17725 SOUTH FWY, MANVEL, TX 77578) WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED WITH THE AUXILIARY BATTERY CABLE NEEDING TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED HOWEVER, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE CONTACT ASSOCIATED THE FAILURE WITH NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V348000 (ELECTRICAL SYSTEM). THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VIN WAS NOT UNDER RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 26,000.

My van has 54,000 miles it? S not very old and the transmission is skipping (up shifting, down shifting, and highway driving) i keep taking it to the dealer ship they keep running updates on it and it? S still skipping. The van has a very rough idle (keeps feeling like it? S going to turn off while it? S in park) something is wrong with it and the deal ship thinks it? S okay. Well it? S not. The front hood has bubbles in the paint and it? S still a new vehicle how am i to think i will be owning this van for atleast 10 more years and it? S becoming rusted already.

Manufacturer (chrysler) mailed me a legal notice that my vehicle could catch fire and / or explode at anytime whether parked, idling or driving because of a defect in the hybrid battery components (inverter). They told me not to park next to anything or anyone, not to allow moisture of any kind into the vehicle and to not park or store it in any enclosed structure like a garage. They said to wait for a fix for the problem as there was not yet resolution. I responded to them asking for a loaner car or rental and was told no. It has been almost a year and still no chrysler dealership can offer a fix, however they did come out with a 2020 model that was built without the problem. This is a serious safety recall that our government seems to be ignoring. I am left with a lemon i cannot safely store park or drive. I paid 55k for this hybrid, was told i would get 80 mpg when i only get 17 mpg and i have to worry that if moisture gets into these hybrid battery components by vehicle could kill me or others. I live in washington where everything is wet and we have to take ferries.. : chrysler doesn? T respond to my letters.

ALTHOUGH THE PROBLEM IS NOT THERE WITH EVERY ACCELERATION, THE VAN SEEMS TO BE TUGGING, THEN JUMPING/PUSHING FORWARD, AND THEN RESUMING ACCELERATION. THIS USUALLY HAPPENS AFTER BEING STOPPED AND ACCELERATING TO GO AT AROUND 20MPHS. I HAVE ALSO HAD THIS HAPPEN WHEN TURNING AND MERGING ON TO TRAFFIC AROUND TOWN WHICH HAS CAUSED ONCOMING CARS TO HAVE TO DECELERATE DUE TO MY ACCELERATION DELAY. I?VE HAD THE CAR CHECKED OUT BY THE DEALERSHIP AND HAVE BEEN TOLD THAT THEY ARE UNABLE TO REPLICATE THE PROBLEM, YET I?M DRIVING AROUND TOWN WORRIED THAT I WILL GET IN A WRECK BECAUSE OF THE RANDOM FAILURE TO ACCELERATE SMOOTHLY. The minivan suddenly shut-off while cruising at 45 miles/hour. Almost rear ended by another vehicle along warren road and wayne rd in westand ,mi. Pushed the ignition button again after car in stop motion. No malfunction indicator light after incident.

ENGINE HAS SHUT OFF ON ITS OWN 3 SEPARATE OCCASIONS SINCE PURCHASING THIS VEHICLE 4 MONTHS AGO. FIRST OCCASION I WAS COMING TO A STOP AT A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. SECOND TIME I WAS STARTING UP FROM A TRAFFIC LIGHT AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. THIRD TIME I WAS DRIVING APPROXIMATELY 35 MPH AND THE ENGINE SHUT OFF. ALL INSTANCES WERE ON A CITY STREET. I HAD TO PRESS THE START/STOP BUTTON. THEN PRESS IT AGAIN WHILE PRESSING THE BRAKE TO TURN THE CAR BACK ON AFTER PUTTING THE VEHICLE BACK IN PARK. THIS ISSUE IS WIDELY DESCRIBED ON OLDER YEARS OF THE Chrysler Pacifica.

MY 2019 Chrysler Pacifica HAS BEGUN SHUTTERING AT STOPS. THE VEHICLE HAS JUST OVER 12,000 MILES AND IS ONLY 18 MONTHS OLD. I TOOK IT THE DEALERSHIP AND WAS TOLD THAT THE PADS ARE FINE BUT THE ROTORS ARE COMPLETELY RUSTED AND MUST BE REPLACED. I WAS TOLD THE VEHICLE IS NO LONGER SAFE TO DRIVE LONG DISTANCES. INFORMATION PUBLISHED BY CHRYSLER INDICATES THAT ROTORS SHOULD LAST 40,000 TO 80,000 MILES. THIS CAR HAS BEEN KEPT IN A GARAGE THE ENTIRE TIME I HAVE OWNED IT WHEN IT WAS NOT BEING DRIVEN. I THINK IT IS CLEAR THAT THE ROTORS WERE MADE OF DEFECTIVE MATERIAL. ALTHOUGH THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THE CAR IS NO LONGER SAFE TO DRIVE LONG DISTANCES, YET I CANNOT AFFORD TO PAY $1,000 OUT OF POCKET TO HAVE THE ROTORS AND PADS REPLACED. I AM REPORTING THIS SO AN INVESTIGATION CAN BE DONE INTO THE MATERIALS CHRYSLER USED TO PRODUCE THESE ROTORS. A RECALL MAY NEED TO BE CONSIDERED.

THE FAILURE PERSISTED OCCASIONALLY. THE MANUFACTURE WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER, NO ASSISTANCE WAS OFFERED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 277,550.

My van completely shut down while driving with my 2 kids in the car and would not start back up. It was not from the auto start/stop feature. The radio interior lights everything shut off. It would not even allow me to get it in n to push it. It was very scary because i was in the middle of a highway with my children. It is not my battery, alternator, or starter because i? Ve had them tested. After speaking to multiple people and reading on the chrysler forums this seems to be a common issue. If this issue persists i will be trading it in for a different make and model. Bummed because i absolutely love this van.
