Car stopped and quickly slowed down without warning. I had very little time to steer car to the side of the road. The rbs/abs system started slowing the car on its own. I had only been going 30 mph, however had i been in a center lane on a freeway at 60 mph, i would have not been able to get it off the road.
The transmission is having constant issues and this has been known with fiat cars.
My vehicle has 37,000 miles when driving on the freeway vehicle got stuck in gear causing a safety concern, luckily i was able to make it home safely with the vehicle stuck in gear. There is a recall on my vehicle that says vehicle may get stuck in gear, i was never notified of the recall by fiat, took vehicle to fiat dealership and was told it has an internal gear failure inside the transmission that is not associated with the recall and they will not repair it even though in the recall it states vehicle can become stuck in gear, failure to take care of the recall can cause transmission failure and the dealership is aware of this however they will not repair the vehicle that still runs but is stuck in gear.
My car didn? T start and then finally did. While driving it stalled, all of a sudden i got control enough to park at work. With no warning signs i proceeded to change battery after work and it still wouldn? T start then after attempting to start with new battery the car with lock symbol came out. Still at this point no warning was giving as i was driving this car perfectly fine until this. All this was on main streets. I have small kids and this is not an accident that i would ever want with or without them because of a technical issue of a car.
