I have a 2017, ford f150 i have a knocking noise on the engine and i also have oil pan leak. It’s been like this since i had 85,000 mile now i am at 99,000 miles
Ford has not fixed the recall or offered a solution resulting in our car's transmission shift cable breaking while my wife was driving, resulting in her being stuck in the middle of the street blocking traffic. The car was stuck in the middle of the street blocking traffic and buses for about an hour until a tow truck could come. We could not shift the vehicle out of park - the shifter moved freely forward and back, while depressing the shift button, but without *actually* shifting to neutral, drive, or reverse. We could not move the car at all, despite pushing or trying to shift it. This occurred in front of our home on friday, april 19th, 2024. A tow truck towed the vehicle to our local repair shop where they identified the broken transmission shift cable and repaired it which we paid out of pocket. This could have occurred anywhere or in a dangerous intersection with the potential to cause harm to her, others, or any of her passengers like our infant son. I was notified of this recall in 2022 by a ford dealership and have yet to see a resolution. My concern is now that the replacement ford transmission shift cable will exhibit the same problem as before unless they make a better cable or mechanism! This also cost us over 5 hours of labor equaling $546 + parts, which we should not have to pay for. Ford should cover this cost completely and give us a reliable transmission shift cable.
The car lost oil pressure resulting in engine failure. When i went to take it to mechanic to diagnose i was told the oil pump belt and pulley system had failed resulting in a blown engine
My truck has the death wobble. It has been worked on for the incident it happened again yesterday at least 4 times within 30 minutes we turned around and came are parked the truck. Am going to talk to the dealer where i purchase the vehicle and want some answers and to fix this major problem with my ford superduty 250 2017
Engine failure-yes, available for inspection the engine may fail at anytime leaving me and/or family stranded. Putting us in danger of being seriously injured or even killed. Yes, the dealer mechanic explained that the coolant was leaking into the head gasket/ block. He stated this was a known issue by ford. He also stated that he would not drive the more than just home from the shop because otherwise we were at risk for stalling on the road. The vehicle had not been inspected by anyone. However, the state of virginia requires an annual inspection which was completed on 02/29/24. Check engine light came on, took to a mechanic he replaced plugs. Light was off and car running fine. Check engine light came back in. We took it to the dealer the next day. The car was only driven to the dealer.
I received this safety recall letter in feb 2024. Have called rivertown ford in columbus ga and they said they don't have the parts nor the approval to do the safety recall.. Saturday while in atlanta my car got a low oil pressure light i pulled over and called ford they said they don't have approval to fix this recall but i can pay to have it fixed.. Since my vehicle is broke down. I had to pay 680. 00 to get it towed back to my house.. The letter said that in the 2nd quarter of the year.. Which starts april1. Suppossed to be when they should have parts.. So right now my car is not working and i don't have extra money to fix this problem. Coolant is leaking into the engine. It’s also recalled on every Fusion but mine and I’ve been without a car For so long because of this.
Vehicle 4 years old under 100,000 miles now having transmission issues, vehicle took into for dealership for review (check engine light on)car owner informed service member that specializes in transmission repair not in for 3 weeks as of march 2024. Vehicle now experiencing slipping when acceleration/ deceleration, slipping to stop. Vehicle showing signs of issues as reported with current ford lawsuit accusing automaker of concealing fusion, escape 6f35 transmission problems.
- brakes make a rough squeeling or scrubbing noise when applied. This intensifies when wet or humid outside. - the brake system could be failing or causing pads to deteriorate. - when i brought this to the service manager's attentiin at the dealership he stated, " yeah, it happens" and never did anything about it. - unknown if ever inspected since i am the second owner and there are a couple of service records in history with "unknown" in the description. - there have been no warning lamps or any other symptoms.
Due to a ford design flaw my car has experienced what is called "coolant intrusion". Tsb 19-2346. My check engine light appeared, solid in color and i brought it in for service/check on 4/6/2024 at apple ford in shakopee, mn. Diagnostics showed a p0302 cylinder 2 misfire detected. The car was running rough on start-up and idle but once warm would run fine. Replaced all spark plugs & boots as it appeared some corrosion occurred on them. On 4/15/2024 in the am i was leaving my house to go to work. I pulled out from my townhouse complex onto the road and my car would not accelerate leaving me in the middle of the road. I had to shift my car into neutral and back into drive to be able to move from the middle of the road. Thankfully no other cars were coming at the time to avoid a collision. Once i was back in drive my car would accelerate but the check engine light came back on. I brought it into the dealership on 4/16 and the same code came up p0302 of a cylinder 2 misfire. I was unable to be without a vehicle so i continued to drive it. Thursday the check engine light was no longer illuminated. It did not come back on. I decided to still have it checked as i did not want to be stuck in the middle of the road again unable to accelerate with my child in the car. Dropped it back off friday night for them to diagnostic again on saturday am. I was then called and told i was needing to replace the entire engine due to the design flaw of ford. Coolant was leaking into cylinder 2 causing the misfire. The only fix is to get a new engine. My car is currently at the apple ford shakopee dealership awaiting the possibility to be fixed.
