The braking system completely failed with virtually no warning. I was traveling on the freeway and the "low brake fluid" light appeared. There had been no mechanical signs of any issues. When i exited the interstate the brake pedal went to the floor and the brakes did not work. I was barely able to get the vehicle to a stop without hitting the vehicle in front of me on the off ramp. Ford has now released a recall on this but parts are not available to fix it yet. I'm not sure if or what they are going to do for my vehicle but i wanted to file the report given the extreme risk this failure poses. I was very fortunate to not end up in a collision.
My truck was serviced with complete fluids and systems check on july 2nd, 2020 reporting everything in the green check zone. Saturday august 1st, 2020 while returning from a family trip, the brake warning light came on indicating a brake problem. The brakes were applied to ensure that they were working and when applied, there was no braking power and the pedal went straight to the floor. When we were finally able to stop we rolled into a gas station and opened the hood to check the brake fluid level and it was empty. So we purchased two bottles of brake fluid to refill the reservoir thinking that maybe the service person forgot to refill the brake fluid. Once we filled the reservoir and pumped the brakes a bit they got tight so we got back on the road. As soon as we pulled onto the road and began to drive the brake warning signal came on again. Again, we pulled over to check for leaks, which there were none. And again, the brake reservoir was empty. Again we purchase more brake fluid and additional bottles and refill the reservoir to the fill line. We drove around the parking lot quite a bit before we decided to get back on the road due to the vehicle seeming to function normally. At this point we enter the highway and drove to our area near the dealer. When exiting the highway a great deal of smoke came from the back of our car that smelled like brake fluid. We pulled over and again there was nothing leaking. We still seemed to have some breaking ability so drove the truck to the car dealership to park it for them to take a look at to do repairs. Upon doing some research i saw that ford motor company just announced the beginnings of a recall on june 6 for this same problem on this year vehicle.
I was on a highway in rain on cruise control approaching an off ramp. My speed was 72 mph as set by cruise control. I applied the brakes to disengage and slow for the off-ramp which is sharp. As i approached i started to apply more brake pressure. The vehicle began accelerating as i was going into the turn. I stomped on the brakes and the brakes went to the floor repeatedly while still accelerating. I navigated the turn at high speed with the back end breaking loose and fish tailing. I barely made it around and proceeded to hit the off button frantically. The truck shut down and i coasted to the side of the road. I had my 7yr old girl in the truck. It was terrifying. When i restarted the truck the cruise control was disengaged and the brakes worked

Vehicle experienced an engine stall after a 5 hour drive (with refueling stops) at highway speeds (i-85 southbound, between durham and atlanta), towing a 2,000lb empty trailer. Stall occurred after stop at the off-ramp. No engine light illuminated, but message stating "autostart/stop"feature error. Car would stall again immediately after restart. After several attempts, engine would not stall if throttle pressed to keep rpm's above idle. I was able to drive the remaining 15 miles (of total 350 mi trip). First leg of this trip was taken during the day, with a 2,000lb load totally approximately 4,000lb towed, with no issues. The above stall occurred after 2 hours of night driving.
2017 ford-f150 10 speed transmission, shifts harsh, at lower gears. Most recently 8/2/2020 this vehicle lost engagement without power to accelerate into gear after pulling out in front of fast moving traffic. This is the 4th time this vehicle has been in for the harsh shifting almost causing whiplash to myself and passengers. This is the 2nd time in july-2020 this vehicle was in for the loss of power, engagement unable to accelerate into gear and harsh shifting.
While turning and accelerating onto a two lane highway while towing, there was a sudden loss of power and the instrument console displayed warning message, "service advancetrac. " as i was accelerating to merge into traffic at the time of power loss, an unsafe condition was created as the semi-truck i pulled in front of now had to make evasive movements to avoid a collision with my now disabled truck and trailer in the roadway. Power came back on with restart of the truck, but only for a few minutes before the same loss of power and fault message. The code p2112 was pulled from the obd2 reader and it was determined the throttle body needed to be replaced. The problem was in fact fixed with replacement of the throttle body.
This truck was purchased new, from test drive thru 2 years of driving 40,000 miles i have always turned off start stop at each start up. When i forget to turn off it has preformed as designed until last week. Now when start/stop is on and i come to stop at red light that changes green as soon as i stop the vehicle requires me to go to park and restart engine. The system works fine if red light is over 5/10 seconds. This happened on us27 4 lane at stop light somerset, ky 7/20/2020. The truck has just run out of warranty 4,000 miles ford service refused to delete the start stop feature. This is a unsafe feature that now has become a accident waiting to happen. The refusal to delete affirms my suspicion this is a built in money maker for out of warranty ford junk.
Brake failure going down a hill, brake pedal went to the floor. Pumped the brakes however it did not help. No warning about a brake problem before it happened. Truck rolled to a stop at the bottom of the hill on flat terrain. I was fortunate no other vehicles or pedistrains were on the hill at this time. Vehicle is at ford dealer trying to determine cause of brake failure. Date of failure 7/28/2020.
Can't get tbs info on my truck. I know there have been some for frozen door locks, frozen windshield washer lines, fire hazard for side impact collisions but the nhtsa site says there are zero. How can check as a owner. The manufacturer pages are not accessible to me as no login or password for owners to register for. Help:)

Related to tsb-16-0139. While driving: hill start assist unavailable message; service advancetrac message. Wrench icon, traction icon, and check engine icon displayed. Truck went into limp mode. Rough idle, would not accelerate until turned off and back on. Dealership diagnosed to replace throttle bodies. Would not cover under extended warranty i believe there may have been a recall on some f150s, but it didn't include my month/year of manufacture, to the best of my knowledge.
While driving through parking lot, truck lost power, turned itself off, and displayed the following message: auto startstop shift to p, then restart engine. Still had power steering, but was unable to restart the vehicle until coming to a complete stop and shifting to park.
Even with the windshield wipers actuator knob set to 'off', wipers continue to operate, as if on lowest intermittent wiper delay setting.
While driving on the highway pulling a trailer the vehicle check engine light and wrench light came on with a warning that stated "service advance track and hill assist is not available. The vehicle then lost all power causing me try attempt to cross traffic to get to the side of the road without any engine power. After stopping the engine was shuddering. The vehicle needed to be towed into a dealer to be fixed. The electronic throttle body had failed causing the engine to go into "limp" mode(what ever that is). This is a very dangerous situation to have happen at highway speeds

Vehicle was started and sitting in our home driveway. Before backing out of the driveway, i smelled smoke and noticed smoke coming from behind the rear passenger seat. I turned off the vehicle and lowered the rear passenger seat to investigate. The smoke was coming from the box in the lower left corner of the back glass. Seconds later, a loud explosion from the box and the back glass shattered with the exception of the center sliding portion.
Transmission is not smooth when shifting. Makes loud clunking sounds and shudders.
Complete, sudden, unexpected brake failure. Brake pedal went straight to the floor with no warning. So dangerous. This happened on the interstate at 70 mph towing my travel trailer with my family in the car.
