Auto start stalled at highway stop light , then parked and shut off, went to leave would not start , emergency Alarm going off will not start , Emission light , Lane depart light , transmission light , battery dead , I’ve been dealing with problems with the Honda pilot since I bought brand new 2019 Honda Pilot elite , auto pilot stop and go wouldn’t kick back on and that was 40,000 take in charge me 10,000
The whole switch for the e brake and park hold fell into the console. I was driving normally one day and heard a noise, when i looked down i noticed it had fallen. I have only used this switch about 2 times since purchasing this car brand new in 2022.
Once again the car loses ability to accelerate after driving at highway speeds and driving for about an hour. The car won’t accelerate and has to be turned off and has to sit for awhile. Sometimes the car struggles to start back up. This may happen several times when i drive. This is a safety issue as the car isn’t reliable and can’t just not accelerate on the highway. I feel this is related to the fuel pump recall and that my kind of civic needs to be included in this.
While operating the vehicle on a highway, under normal weather conditions the vehicle was traveling at a normal rate of speed while side airbag curtains on both, drivers and passengers side, spontaneously deployed. There was no collision with any vehicle or object to cause deployment. Side airbags caused temporary visual and hearing impairment from deployment making vehicle operation on highway extremely dangerous to safely navigate to shoulder of highway to a place of safety. The side curtain airbags blocked side mirrors and all side widows. Unable to see out of vehicle to navigate to shoulder of highway. There is no external damage to vehicle. There were no indication lights warning of an airbag system issue. Vehicle is currently at a honda service center awaiting appointment to assess vehicle.
Emission system problem light continues to come on and car doesn’t run the way it’s supposed to. Code reads something to do with fuel
Drivers side mirror shakes. Dealer indicates common problem. Would not fix
At about 5,000 miles the steering started to become sticky at higher speeds. When driving straight it jerks slightly throughout the drive. Honda dealer has informed us we need a replacement part. 53620-3d4-a25. I believe this is a replacement steering rack. We took in to the dealer in october and as of april part is still back ordered with no estimated timeframe for delivery likely due to demand as a result of too many other customers with same issue. I believe this should be a recall to encourage honda to address in a more timely manner.
BACKUP CAMERA SHOWS BLACK WHEN CAR PUT IN REVERSE. IS THIS THE SAME PROBLEM AS RECALL FOR 2018 Honda Accord?
Honda has all these controls on their steering wheel that can accidentally be turned on, even while driving, and have any of those adaptive functions suddenly start working. For example, twice already i was driving and somehow the "lane keeping assistance" turned on. My steering wheel was shaking and i couldnt control it, get it to stop. It frightened me & the first time i pulled over on the side of the road thinking my cars tie-rods have broken. It did it again last night and i was really frightened. My husband reached over & turned it off. He said i must have turned it on while holding the steering wheel. I had another function "lane depature warning" turn on when i was trying to switch lanes. I was fighting with the steering wheel. The paddles on the wheel are also a hazard. I reached for the turn signal & hit a paddle. I dont know what the hell these do & i was freaking out thinking what did i just turn on now that we make me lose control of the car. These functions should not be something that can be turned on once the car is started. I have never had any issues with cruise control on any car i own. I really do not like this car. I'm scared. I will need to drive my husbands mercedes because i fear the honda crv. I cant return the car. How many people have been in accidents or killed because they functions can turn themselves on without the driver knowing they did. This is not a nuisance, this is a accident waiting to happen. Please, something needs to be done. I spent $40k on a disaster. Thank you
Backup camera goes black - no picture. Doing some follow up on the internet, this appears to be a problem that has affected other honda ridgelines.
