In june 2024, i was driving my vehicle when i started to smell burning from under the dashboard. As i continued to drive, the smell got worse, and on my way to the dealer, my air conditioner stopped working. I took my car back to the dealer for service, and several days later, i was told that my car needed a hardness connected to several components in the engine compartment. I remember while i was dropping off my car at the dealer, one of the service advisors told me that it was good. I drove to the dealer because the car could have gone on fire. It's now six months later, and they have not fixed my car. I was told they're awaiting parts from korea to complete the fix. My concern is that this part can cause a fire. Why did hyundai not recall these vehicles? Hyundai knows about the problem. I was told that i'm not the only one waiting; supposedly, there are 100's more customers waiting for this part.

Approximately five weeks ago, my 2015 Hyundai Sonata showed a check engine light. I took it into the dealer and paid a diagnostic fee which revealed the third cylinder misfire in the engine. I along with other people on various websites have noted that the 2024 n-line has something wrong with the speedometer. I first noticed is on the waze that is was different. It must have something to do with the internal gps of the car. I tested it alongside another car and it is indeed off. It happens after driving the car into a place that isn't obvious on the map. I brought the car to the dealership and they weren't able to help. I know there is a slight allowance for speedometer being off, but this is way off. For example, it can show one is going 25, while really going 20. This causes me to have to look at waze to get proper speed. This is a real issue and if search hyundai sonate n-line speedometer being off, you can find other people talking about this issue. Please really look into this as this is a major concern that falls outside the allowed difference in speedomter and actual speed

What component or system failed or malfunctioned, and is it available for inspection upon request? Since april 2025 i’ve been having low oil readings in my vehicle despite regular oil changes i took it into the dealer since my vehicle was still under warranty, which they stated only one part was under warranty. I had to pay $800 after this was replaced. I started having engine light come on. This engine light when i paid a diagnostic fee i learned that the cylinder three was misfiring. It was suggested that i have an oil change and get the oil level checked again within a week. This was done and it was determined that it was burning too much oil. I submitted this to the insurance and was told that this was not covered that there must be another reason why this was not working the way it should. 3 weeks ago then i was asked to replace the spark plugs and coils. These were replaced for an additional cost of approximately $300. After replacing this, the check engine light gave the same condition of third cylinder damage.. And the oil level continue to decrease the vehicle was left with the dealer for approximately 10 days. They stated that the engine needed to be cleaned due to possible carbon buildup for about $800 then they stated that the spark plugs and coils needed to be replaced with a specific brand and not the type that was previously used. Then my vehicle was returned to me, performing sluggishly with the check engine light returning with the same condition of third cylinder misfire. An inspection is available. How was your safety put at risk? The possibility engine failure away from hom has the problem been reproduced or confirmed by a dealer or independent service center? Yes twice has the vehicle or component been inspected by the manufacturer, police, insurance representatives or others? No were there any warning lamps, messages or other symptoms of the problem prior to the failure, and when did they first appear? Yes frequently over the last 2 months

The makes a weird shutter noise when accelerating and won't crank over 60. Loses power when turning or when going uphill. Sometimes has problem starting. Enging light came on twice blinking, once i changed the battery it went off and was working fine. Now it's back on again after a few weeks. Plus my oil tank still comes on and i've just received and oil change. I just bought the car in august of this year, dealership sold to me with a faulty battery.

Literally for years i have been taking my car in to rick case hyundai with the complaint of smelling gas even when the car was parked for long periods. Each time they said they fixed with different items. Gas cap, a part on the catalytic converter, etc. The problem never resolved but i noticed it only happened when the tank was more than half full. I got a video of gas dripping out underneath and took the car to rick case and gave them the video. My car has been there ten days because they first tried to say it was a seal on the fuel pump. This time i said that seems unlikely cause that only happens when tank is full and persists even after car is parked many hours. Now they report they found a pinhole leak in the gas tank. I will upload the video if this form allows. This does not appear to be a pinhole leak to me. I first noticed this around 2019. Unfortunately the video is mp4 and i cannot upload it.

Driving home car just shut off still had power to steer and brake but no engine. Pulled it off the main road and it leaked oil but still no engine. Already had the dealer replace the intake manifold at my expense despite hyundai knowing the plastic lever inside fails. We were lucky the snowplow was going the opposite direction as the weather was horrible as we got closer to home. I have a dead car in my yard waiting to have a dealer look at it. We could have been killed due to fault of engine.
