This vehicle is an absolute hazard. The brakes and power steering will fail while driving, and the vehicle will be slow to accelerate while this happens. I have personally had two near accidents when this occurs. I have researched and found that i am far from the only person with this issue and infiniti doesn? T seem to care. I have taken it in three times already with no solution offered. I have attached a few of the other complaints i found online.

TL* THE CONTACT LEASED A 2017 Infiniti QX30. THE CONTACT STATED THAT HE NOTICED CONDENSATION INSIDE IN THE FRONT PASSENGER?S SIDE HEADLAMP. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE HEADLAMP ASSEMBLY WARNING MESSAGE APPEARED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL AT VEHICLE START-UP. UPON RESEARCH, THE CONTACT DISCOVERED THAT A REPLACEMENT HEADLAMP WAS APPROXIMATELY $1,800.00. THE CONTACT DECLINED TO REPLACE THE HEADLAMP. ONCE THE LEASE AGREEMENT EXPIRED, THE CONTACT RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO RAMSEY INFINITI (535 NJ-17 S, RAMSEY, NJ 07446). A FEW MONTHS LATER, THE CONTACT RECEIVED AN INVOICE FROM THE DEALER FOR THE COST OF REPAIR FOR THE HEADLAMP. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE REMAINED IN THE POSSESSION OF THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 29,000.

I hydroplaned my vehicle while drive between 55-60 mph of interstate 10 in houston, tx on 11/28/2020. I slide across four lanes and front end collided with a concrete barrier. Not one of my airbags deployed. The frame was bent and ripped next to the sensors and i reported this to nissan/infiniti. My insurance crash investigator and the body shop all stated my airbags should have deployed. The nissan investigator [xxx] declared that she is the final say on the safety of my airbags and claims that it is her opinion that i did not meet the qualification for my airbags to deploy. I hit the concrete wall at probably around 30-40 mph and came to a dead stop. I had nothing to help with the sharp snap of my neck from the impact. [xxx] unprofessionally yell at me that she is the authority on the effectiveness and safety and then hung up the call on me after stating that i did not share her opinion and asking her multiple times if she would send me a report of her findings for my records, which she refused to do. I do not know how to contact anyone else in nissan investigation department and i believe this is something that could harm a lot of people if my airbags were faulty. Nissan/infiniti had airbag recalls in the 2017 model and it is possible there are still issues. While driving vehicle there is a sudden lost of engine power and vehicle will not accelerate. Several warning indicators come up on the dash. Warnings are? Emergency brake inoperative? ,? Traction control inoperative, see owners manual? ,? Icc inoperative. I? M getting engine code p2128? Accelerator pedal position sensor?. The car is not safe to drive. Dealer cannot/will not repair the problem.

THIS COMPLAINT IS THAT OF SERIOUS HEALTH AND SAFETY RISK IGNORED WITH IGNORANCE AND BELLIGERENCE BY INFINITI. THE QX30 IS AN AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION CAR THAT IS NOT JUST ROLLING BACKWARDS WHILE IN DRIVE HOWEVER IT APPEARD TO BE DRIVING BACKWARDS IN DRIVE. WHILE THE QX30 IS STATIONARY ON AN CITY OR HIGHWAY, WITH OR WITHOUT THE AUTOMATIC SHUT OFF ENGAGED, THE VEHICLE WILL NOT JUST ROLL SLIGHTLY, HOWEVER ENGAGE IN BACKWARDS MOTION TO A POINT OF THE CAR SEEMINGLY DRIVING BACKWARDS WHILE THE CAR IS IN DRIVE. THE CAR ESSENTIALLY DRIVES IN REVERSE, WITHOUT OPERATOR CONTROL. I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO JBA INFINITI ELLICOTT CITY, MD WHERE THE MANAGER KEN STATED THIS WAS A "DESIGN FLAW" WITHIN THE QX30. I STATED THE SERIOUSNESS OF THIS SITUATION, AS THIS OCCURS WHILE ON AN INCLINE OR NOT. IT WAS STATED THE QX30 DOES NOT HAVE A TRANSMISSION LOCK WITHIN THE DESIGN OF THE VEHICLE AND THEREFORE THE VEHICLE DOES HAVE THE ABILITY TO ESSENTIALLY "ROLL AWAY WHILE IN DRIVE". I EXPLAINED THE SERIOUS NATURE AND RISK TO PUBLIC SAFETY. I WAS DIRECTED TO BRING MY ISSUE UP WITH INFINITI CONSUMER AFFAIRS. INFINITI CONSUMER AFFAIRS IS A WASTE OF WORDS AND PLACE THE LIVES OF THE PUBLIC WITHOUT WORTH. THE CASE NUMBER RECIEVED IS 36476934 07/23/2019 @ 3:30PM. PLEASE RETRIEVE THE CALL. IT HAUNTS MY SOUL TO KNOW THAT DEATH MUST OCCUR RO HAVE SOMETHING SO CRUCIAL TAKEN SERIOUSLY.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 Infiniti QX30. WHILE THE VEHICLE WAS AT A STOP SIGN, IT ROLLED BACKWARDS AND AN UNKNOWN RED INDICATOR ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT HAD TO MAKE SURE THE BRAKE PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED TO PREVENT THE RISK OF A CRASH. THE FAILURE OCCURRED SEVERAL TIMES. J.B.A. INFINITI (8431 BALTIMORE NATIONAL PIKE, ELLICOTT CITY, MD 21043, 1-(855) 228-8647) WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. A SERVICE TECHNICIAN TEST DROVE THE VEHICLE AND WAS ABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE; HOWEVER, THE SERVICE MANAGER INDICATED THAT THIS WAS A DESIGN FLAW AND NOT A FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS STILL AT THE DEALER FOR FURTHER INSPECTION, BUT WAS NOT REPAIRED BECAUSE THE DEALER STATED THERE WAS NO REMEDY. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 25,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2018 Infiniti QX30. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE INSTRUMENT PANEL SCREEN BLACKED OUT. THE FAILURE OCCURRED EVERY TIME THE ENGINE WAS STARTED. THE FAILURE EVEN AFFECTED THE BACK UP CAMERA SCREEN. WHEN ATTEMPTING TO REVERSE, THE SCREEN BLACKED OUT AND THEN RETURNED TO NORMAL. THE FAILURE OCCURRED OFTEN. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO INFINITI OF MASSAPEQUA (4450 SUNRISE HWY, MASSAPEQUA, NY 11758, (516) 797-5200) IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT AN UPDATE TO THE SCREEN AND CAMERA WAS NEEDED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED, BUT THE FAILURE LATER RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS REPAIRED AGAIN, WHICH LED TO ADDITIONAL FAILURES. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURES. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,100.

WHEN ATTEMPTING TO ACCELERATE, REVERSE, OR WHILE STOPPED AT AN INTERSECTION, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO REGAIN ACCELERATION THE "SEE THE DRIVER?S MANUAL" MESSAGE WOULD ALSO APPEAR. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO BENNETT INFINITI OF ALLENTOWN (2121 LEHIGH STREET, ALLENTOWN, PA 18103, (610) 398-9100) AND THE WARNING MESSAGE WAS REMEDIED. THE VEHICLE ACCELERATION FAILURE WAS NOT DIAGNOSED OR CORRECTED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS CONTACTED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 5,000.

Was driving car and windshield began to freeze over with frost. Came to complete stop in residential street, and the car was stationary. I then pressed park button and opened car door to get out to scrape windshield more. Car did not go into park and began to roll, pulling me out and to the ground and and my left lower leg was ran over by left rear tire. Car continued to roll and went off road and crashed into a tree. In the owner's manual for vehicle, manual states that "park position p is automatically engaged if: *you switch off the engine using the key and remove the key or *you open the driver's door when the vehicle is stationary or driving at a very low speed and the transmission is in position d (drive) or r (reverse). From the owner's manual, the vehicle should have went into park and not rolled.

NAVIGATION SCREEN GOES BLACK SOMETIMES WHEN VEHICLE IS PUT IN REVERSE. THIS IS A SAFETY CONCERN BECAUSE OF THE LIMITED VISIBILITY OF THE QX30, ESPECIALLY WHEN BACKING UP.

Purchased the car brand new two months ago. Discovered the left hatch harness cover is crushed. Was told by infiniti regional manager everything electrical is run thorough that harness and every time the hatch is opened and closed the wiring is getting pinched. Already have had the car to the dealership for black backup screen, audio problems, lights not turning off, radio not shutting off after car is turned off and door is opened. Was told that was a software problem and that the software has been updated. Infiniti won't replace the wiring since nothing major has happened "yet. " very concerned about driving the car and something happening to the wiring since i know it is being compromised. Concerned about everything from a vehicle fire to lighting and system control problems.

The speed at which the windshield wipers function is not safe. These speed is too slow and as a result does not clear the water off of the windshield. Visibility is poor as you cannot see thru the water that remains on windsheid. Unacceptable. I reported to infinity and took to dealership. The advised functioning as designed, this is a hazard and i do not feel safe driving in the rain. I have had several incidents (every time it rains) but this was first time i was due for service and had dealership investigate

Driver's bag unexpectedly deploy issue

SINCE TAKING DELIVERY OF THIS VEHICLE IN MID AUGUST, THE REAR PASSENGER DOOR LATCH AND HANDLE DO NOT WORK. THE HANDLE DOES NOT GO BACK IN WHEN LIFTED AND THE DOOR WILL NOT LATCH. ALSO, THE DRIVER'S DOOR WAS "NOT PUT TOGETHER PROPERLY," AS STATED BY THE DEALER (HARTE INFINITI) IN THE WORK ORDER. MORE SPECIFICALLY, THE ENTIRE RUBBER TRIM SEPARATED FROM THE DOOR, LEAVING IT DANGLING, THE DOOR TRIM SEPARATED FROM THE DOOR PANEL, AND THE WINDOW LEAVES A STICKY FILM WHEN OPENING IT. THE DEALER'S WORKMANSHIP IN ATTEMPTING TO REPAIR IT HAVE BEEN SHODDY AND SUBSTANDARD. THE INFERIOR QUALITY OF THE PRODUCT, WORKMANSHIP AND MATERIALS IN THIS VEHICLE ARE NOT WORTH THE COST. WHAT'S MORE OFFENSIVE AND ACCEPTABLE ARE THAT THE CORPORATE CONSUMER RELATIONS REPRESENTATIVE, THE DEALER, INCLUDING THE SALESMAN AND SERVICE MANAGER ARE IRRESPONSIBLE AND EVASIVE IN RESPONDING TO CALLS. THE VEHICLE WAS IN FOR REPAIRS FOR FIVE DAYS AND THE ONLY THING THEY DID WAS REPLACE THE WEATHERSTRIP AND LUBRICATE THE REAR DOOR HANDLE. THE DOOR HANDLE STILL DOES NOT WORK AND THE TRIM ON THE DOOR IS STILL SEPARATED FROM THE BODY OF THE DOOR, LEAVING GAPS. AS FAR AS I'M CONCERNED, THIS VEHICLE IS UNSAFE FOR THE ROAD. HOW WILL THESE DOORS PROTECT THE DRIVER AND PASSENGER UPON IMPACT IN AN ACCIDENT? ALSO, THIS IS NOT A SAFETY ISSUE, BUT THE PAINT ON THE FRONT BUMPER IS PEELING OFF. ALTHOUGH I LEASE THIS LEMON, MY WIFE AND I HAVE PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED TWO BRAND NEW FX35S WHICH GAVE US NO PROBLEMS, THE REASON WHY WE OPTED FOR THE QX30 FOR OUR DAUGHTER. WE NOW WHOLEHEARTEDLY REGRET OUR DECISION. THIS VEHICLE MAY NOT HAVE MECHANICAL PROBLEMS AS YET BUT THE DEFECTIVE DOORS ARE JUST AS CONCERNING AND FRUSTRATING, AND AS MUCH SAFETY AND RELIABILITY ISSUES. SHAME ON THE MANUFACTURER, INFINITI USA AND HARTE INFINITI FOR LEAVING US NO CHOICE BUT TO FILE A COMPLAINT WITH THE NHTSA.

Base assy-fuel filler part # 781205da0a and actuator assy-fuel filler lid opener part # 788505dab. Lid was stuck and was unable to open to fuel car. Had to force it open and it broke the latch on the door section and the opener was stuck. Sending it to the dealer to have it fixed, should be under warranty. Vehicle was stationary

I purchased this car on 3/18/2017 and the brake pedal is too close to the accelerator. This is a safety issue since there is not enough room for a person to depress brake with out hitting the accelerator pedal. I have almost gotten in an accident driving the car due to this issue on a city street while turning. I called delearship and they agree its too close but will not do anything about it. They said they would check with a tech and would call me back if a new pedal could be put in and that i would have to pay for this. I have since not heard back from dealership.

I HAVE REACHED OUT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND INFINITI USA BUT TO NO AVAIL. SAFETY ISSUE: AFTER COMING TO A FULL STOP THE DOOR WILL NOT OPEN WHEN YOU PULL THE LEVER UNLESS YOU MANUALLY UNLOCK THE DOOR: YOU CAN'T GET OUT OF THE CAR UNLESS YOU MANUALLY UNLOCK IT; THIS IS A PRIMARY CONCERN FOR EMERGENCIES WHEN OFTEN PEOPLE DON'T HAVE THEIR WITS ABOUT THEM AND MAY STRUGGLE WITH THE DOOR FORGETTING THEY HAVE TO MANUALLY UNLOCK IT. (ALL OUR OTHER VEHICLES WHEN THE CAR COMES TO A STOP AND THE ENGINE IS OFF YOU PULL ON THE LEVER AND THE DOOR WILL OPEN BUT NOT WITH THE Infiniti QX30.) THANK YOU IN ADVANCE FOR LOOKING INTO TO THIS.
