Sunroof exploded when driving on the highway, we pulled over immediately and called infiniti customer service for technical help, they asked me to drive to nearest infiniti retail store to replace the glass. When we got the store, there's no mechanic because it's saturday. The staff there told me to come monday to see if they can determine the sunroof exploded by itself. They helped us cover the sunroof with hardboard and tapes. We drove to the retail store--hgreg infiniti monrovia on monday. Their technicist told us there's no way to determine the reason of explosion without checking the remain glass covered by the hardboard and claimed that they never heard about a case of sunroof explosion , if broken must be hit by other stuff, which is obviously lying since you can search out thousands of sunroof exploding cases online in one minute. We couldn't convince each other, so i left. The only help i am seeking from nhtsa is to offer a way to determine the causing, for instance, an authenticate third party to test the remain material. Only with the legally binding evidence, can i sue the unethical company.
On march 26, 2021 the sunroof exploded and shattered during commute home from work in dallas on i30 eastbound near the ferguson road exit. Traffic was surprisingly light and there were no large trucks near me.
I was driving on the freeway at about 1:40pm today(03/9/2021). All of sudden hear some kind of loud gun shot and 1 second later, my sunroof is shattered. Also, the forward collision system automatically breaks by itself when there is no vehicle or any kind of object.

THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS NO LONGER COVERED UNDER WARRANTY, AND OFFERED NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 140,000.
February 3, 2021, i was driving home to dallas from a business trip in san antonio. My mother and daughter were with me. My daughter got tangled in the middle seatbelt of the second row. Instead of the seatbelt loosening up, it got tighter. I had no way to remove it. I called 911 in order for them to cut her out. My daughter began to throw up from the compression of the seatbelt around her stomach. The ambulance team checked her out and she is doing fine. The police did an incident report and was concerned that the seatbelt did not loosen up after pulled over to the median and parked the car. It got tighter and i could not pull it off of her.

Ii bought this vehicle in 2019 with 16k on it they replaced the transfer case, with 73k on it i had to replace same transfer case again, now with 93k its has leaked again. This is a expensive venture as 4 other vehicle owners are suffering with the same problem

Unexplained acceleration caused vehicle to exceed posted speed limit and driver? S desired speed. On a city street at approx 7pm i was increasing speed after sitting at a stop light, i slowly started to accelerate, i felt a jolt & vehicle suddenly picked up speed. Not knowing why this was happening i repeatedly pushed the cancel button on the steering wheel & pushed the brake pedal. Vehicle continued to pick-up speed when i stopped pushing brake pedal. I came to a complete stop & vehicle went to picking up quick speed without me pushing accelerator pedal. I pulled into vacant parking lot, put vehicle in park, removed my foot from brake pedal & vehicle accelerated high (rpms) by itself for a few seconds & stopped (went to normal idling). I turned vehicle off, restarted & the vehicle drove normally afterwards. I have reviewed owners manual & can? T figure out what i may have done to cause the unexpected vehicle acceleration that pushing the cancel button on the steering wheel and/or pushing the brake pedal wouldn? T turn off. I was not attempting to use speed control functions of the vehicle. Standard driving. I believe it was a vehicle malfunction and not driver action that created this unsafe situation. Thankfully surrounding traffic was light on what is typically a busy street.
The back hatch door does not always open when either using the car faub, button in the interior or manually on the hatch itself. It will partially open and then it will beep and try and close on its own, making it difficult to either put something in or take out of the back of car without it closing on your head because the sensor does not alert that i am there. Then to close the hatch i have to force it down because the close button on the hatch will not work... It? S been very frustrating because it? S been happening for months now. Sometimes it opens when prompted however the majority of the times it does not!

WHERE WHEN DRIVING AND TURNING ESPECIALLY AT SLOW SPEEDS THERE IS A VIOLENT VIBRATION THAT COMES FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. PLEASE TAKE CARE OF YOUR CUSTOMERS. THE DEALERSHIP ORIGINALLY TOLD US THIS ISSUE WOULD BE REPLACED UNDER RECALL. THEN SAID SORRY IT?S JUST A BULLETIN NOW. BUT IT WILL TURN INTO A RECALL BEFORE THE WINTER. AND THAI WAS LAST YEAR. SO WE HAVE WAITED OVER A YEAR NOW AND THERE IS STILL NO OFFICIAL INFINITY QX60 2015 RECALL.
Abs light goes on once or twice a week and stays on until car is turned off. My car isn't listed under recall with my vin number. It is within the make, model, and year same ad the other cars that are recalled for abs light.
Traveling i-10 going 75mpg, and the sun roof exploded. Sounded like we had been shot. Nothing was in front of us when it happened. The interior shade was not opened , so no glass was blown in. There was a big hole with the glass being bulged outward (up. )
I was driving on i-95 north in marryland when e. S. C(electronic stability control)light came on. I stopped at marryland house travel plaza and restarted the engine ,shifted to drive but car didnot and "check engine"light also came. Eventually i bought mass air sensor from dealer and installed it
Car was running well and did not have any issues then went to start and car would not start, headlights started flickering, warning lights came on and car wouldn? T start. Was able to get it to start and drive home but power steering went out, could not accelerate on a hwy, lights continued to flicker. Was not switching gears. Once we got home turned the car off and have not been able to start it since. We had it towed to nissan dealership and they can? T figure out what is wrong and it? S been there for over three weeks. Nissan is saying we need a new $14,0000 engine. This is a three year old car with no problems, no indication of any issues and one day it just stops driving. Have researched this year, make and model and have heard this is a common problem. Infiniti has not done anything about it and says it? S not their fault. Don? T know where to go from here. This car needs to be recalled due to the numerous complaints about the same issue,
I accelerated the gas pedal all the way down while merging to the carpool lane on highway; i took the foot pressure off after merging the lane but car was kept on accelerating. I had to apply the brake several time during 15-20 seconds of this experience to bring the high acceleration down to normal. I took it to ontario california infiniti dealership on aug 8, 2020 and left the vehicle there for thorough checkup. I received a call on aug 10, 2020 from dealership service representative that they could not reproduce the issue.
The transmision was realy bad on the freeway
Air bag warning light is flashy auto shop states 400 to fix the switch that has come unplugged
Issue: every 2-3 months car has had a total break failure. By total brake failure i mean pedal goes all the way to bottom and seat belts tighten with 0 breaking power. Pumping breaks 2-3 times then returns to normal. Issue is not easily repeatable. Only other symptom is break pedal seems a bit softer than usual. Issue history: issue first started spring/summer 2019. Tried various items to fix issue including: bleeding break lines, switching master cylinder, etc. Car primarily serviced at jim lupient infinity dealer. Last item dealer wanted was to replace was the abs , but in big capital letters (may not fix issue). Contacted infinity consumer assistance and got 0 assistance. Infinity case number: 40461337 this car, as is, is a bad accident waiting to happen. We sold the car to the infinity dealer well bellow cost as could not in good conscience sell it to someone else due to how unsafe it is. This issue needs to be reported and investigated and potentially issue a recall.
