My wife was driving my kids to school and the jeep went into limp mode. This jeep relies too much on the battery to run everything and the batteries failed, at 39k and 2 years of ownership. It was showing steering, sos, brake, airbag, anti collision system failures with no prior warnings.
2 incidents of loss of power with the electric motor at high speed. The hybrid electric motor unexpectedly lost power at 75 mph on the highway, alongside other vehicles moving at the same speed. This sudden loss of power caused the vehicle to drop to 55 mph, and not go above that speed, risking a potential collision from behind. Driving at 55 mph on texas highways with a speed limit of 75 mph is very dangerous. The second time was exactly like the first but at 60mph. It has not been able to be reproduced. It has been inspected several time by the dealership. There was no warning of any kind.

My jeep has incredibly high oil consumption. I am putting a quart of oil in every two weeks even after an oil change. My car also stalls intermittently, it has even turned completely off on the freeway. The electrical in my car goes in and out and my display for my radio is completely blacked out.
When the lights are set on auto mode the high beams feature will not work. You push the steering column cluster switch forward to turn on high beams and it kicks it back immediately and will not turn on high beams. This is a huge safety issue. We've had to drive through wooded areas at night with elk and deer on the roads and almost been hit. Jeep needs to recall this and modify to allow high beam while using the auto headlight setting.
While driving 25mph, the brakes went out. 2 warning lights came up " service electronic stability control" followed by "service anti-lock brake system" we were able to pull into another lane and still to a stop but vehicle was not responding to brake being floored.
