The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic where it was diagnosed with power transfer unit (ptu) failure. The contact was informed that the ptu needed to be replaced. The mechanic stated that the parts to repair the vehicle were on back order and would not be available for approximately 9 months. The vehicle was not repaired. The dealer was notified of the failure however, the vehicle was not repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 92,816.
My antilock brake system failed and made it where i cannot set my cruise control and the part that is required to fix has been on nation wide backorder since september 30 of 2023 this is unacceptable for a safety part to be that hard to replace and if that many are on backorder it should be recalled. The ck engine light would go on and off for a few monthes
Parking/emergency brake has become unattached and no longer functions. It is a manual transmission and the parking brake is required to keep the vehicle from possibly rolling once parked.
Dear administration, i am writing to bring to your immediate attention a potentially life-threatening issue regarding the 2023 jeep grand cherokee 4xe overlander, which i purchased from route 18 jeep chrysler dealership in new jersey in june of 2023. The car in question has a critical flaw that poses a significant danger to both the driver and pedestrians. Specifically, there is a glaring reflection cast onto the windshield directly in front of the driver, blocking visibility of the road. This appears to be coming from the head-up display device located on the mirror, which obstructs the driver's view of the road. The glare i'm referring to. Will change several times during a day? Depending on the direction, you're going time of day or night and the external environment. It's impossible to drive the car through a tunnel lights on both sides of the roadway, it becomes very difficult to drive the car in the evening in the city environment, with light illuminating overhead on a street way. It's easier during midday but very difficult in early evening, we're early morning. This obstruction makes it nearly impossible to operate the vehicle safely and creates hazardous conditions for everyone on the road. Despite bringing this issue to the attention of multiple jeep service stations, as well as jeep wave, the manufacturer's department, i have received no acknowledgment of the danger from them. They have simply stated that this is how the automobile was manufactured, particularly for the specific model, highlander. As a result of this safety concern, i have chosen not to drive the vehicle for the past 10 months, as i refuse to put my family and others at risk. I urge you to take immediate action to address this issue before it results in tragic consequences on the highways. If this specific model of jeep was indeed manufactured with this flaw, it has the potential to cause accidents and even fatalities.

My coils had to be replaced several times. Last week i started to drive my car on a major road, shaking and no power. My car had to be towed once again. My mechanic told me the jeeps have issues with the coils. Not sure why this keeps happening but now it's scary to drive my vehicle and not knowing how quick this happens again. Recently my check engine light came on and off, changed the fuel gas cap, and had a code read. My mechanic mentioned that there was a safety recall regarding the manifold? Liftgate sometimes works and sometimes does not, having to "reset" defective liftgate by pulling fuse and disconnecting battery and let set overnight
Every dash warning lights come on, radio cuts off, steering loss occurs, have to fight steering to get pulled over, turn it off and back on, sometimes resets but not always. Issue happens at random but the last time it occurred around a curve, nearly went off the road because of the steering loss. Had all the wires and grounds cleaned & checked, all batteries are good, alternator is good, all relays are good.
Right after leaving work, the following message appear shifter error. Dash light up marking all type of errors whipers, gasoline, motor, etc. And the most scary part was no power steering at all. Then one second latter it totally shut down. Thanks gad! There where no cars behind me or next to me and i was able to pull over and tuns on my emergency lights. But i was about to go into the freeway only 2 blocks away from it. Just imagine! That happening at 65 or 70 miles in rush hour. I consider that my life was in danger with this issue, not only mine everyone driving around me. What if it happens again? I am truly afraid to drive my jeep in a freeway or even travel.
The snuglock feature on the car seat is not securing the seat belt for a safe installation. My child is able to loosen the installation of the car seat belt by pushing on vehicle seat while rear facing in the car seat. This is a reoccurring problem, even after reinstallation. The seat belt comes loose. This means in an accident the car seat would likely move off of the vehicle seat due to failure of the seat belt securing it to the vehicle seat.
