Engine died while driving 45 on highway, tow to garage and was told to take to dealership because of a recall for my engine. Towed the car to the dealership and they check and are telling me that my car engine wasn't covered and i would have to paid for the repair. I was told the problem was the engine manufactured with the rod bearing issue. My safety was at risk because car died on a state highway.
the slide door of my van (Kia Sedona 2017 has been having issues when it is closing it does not close priority , the brakes as well has a strange movement when i release the brake . and it is making the car shake when i drive
There has been multiple incidents the first time the car started jumping and smoking on 12/7/2022 i had it put in the shop and they said it was 2 oxygen sensors and crank position sensor after that repair the ac goes out completely. So it drove fine for a couple months then started jumping in middle of interstate again and check engine light came on so i pull off interstate before i got hit it dropped speed and wanted to keep shutting off didn't want to pick up speed so got it checked out again they changed out spark plugs, air filter and catalytic converter also not to mention tow bill. Then thinking everything should be took care of after that no for the third time after being exhausted of repairs on a over paid car i was on interstate again on 11/21/2023 i was going 65mph when all of a sudden my battery light,! Light came on and service engine light all lights started flashing so i barely made it off interstate when my car started jumping so i pull over and steering was getting hard to turn as the car shuts off and leaves me stranded once again with a towing bill and another shop they replaced the alternator, ignition coil, fuel pump, spark plugs again, bolt flang, fuel pressure sensor, cop coil, high pressure sensor, battery. It's been costly and for how long before something happens again for a car that i'm paying twice the amount it's worth.

Nov 5, 2023 my wife , son and my self traveled to las vegas for a family party. 2 days prior to our trip i got a tune up. On the day in question after traveling 1 hour and about 20 minutes to las vegas the car made a noise as if something fell off the engine next came on the oil light followed with smoke from the car. Thankfully i was able to get over where the car completely shut off and has not started since. After 5 hours of waiting in basically in the middle of nowhere we were towed to our destination which was 190 miles away from where the car shut down
The engine is being to make a sound. When i checked it’s the rod knock. In the end of september my wife drove the car to work where it stopped working. That’s when i heard and seen what it was. It’s my understanding that many optimas have been having engine problems. I was told to take it to a dealership and kia would fix it that there was a recall. Please let me know if this is true or any help you can provide.
The driver's side usb-a wiring harness repeatedly (though intermittently) drops connection between a properly connected iphone and the native infotainment system, causing a "drop-out" of apple carplay connectivity. The safety concerns associated with this are most acute when using apple carplay-based navigation systems, as the native infotainment system stops displaying apple car-play navigation, and begins searching for a usb-a connection with display "reading usb. " this sometimes remedies itself, with return to apple carplay display but often requires physical reconnection of the usb-a cable. This level of manual manipulation of the infotainment system has caused me to lose navigation capabilities mid-trip and frequently takes my attention away from safely navigating the vehicle, especially when in urban traffic. The problem is persistent across multiple phones, multiple cables (including brand new apple-branded cables), and other usb-a hardware external to the vehicle's infotainment system. The problem is well documented in multiple online owners' forums (see links below), and appears to be experienced in the similarly engineered/equipped hyundai ioniq 5. In my experience, kia dealers have difficulty recreating the issue, as it is intermittent. Even when they are able to recreate the issue, they are unwilling to perform service, as neither kia nor hyundai have developed related technical service bulletins documenting or addressing this issue despite its persistence over multiple years since the cars' release. This presents an ongoing and unaddressed safety risk to kia ev6 and hyundai ioniq 5 drivers. Https://www. Kiaevforums. Com/threads/carplay-dropping-out. 2319/post-33018 https://www. Kiaevforums. My trunk latch wasn't working. I couldn't close my trunk. I contact kia service and since i still have a platinum warranty with them, asked them if they could repair it free of charge. They said no. So i had to use tape to keep the trunk shut which kept getting wet from the rain while i had to wait for my kia truck latch part to arrive through mail so my husband could install it. I am not sure if this was right before they knew of the issue or not, but i feel like i deserve a refund for the part.
