DRIVING DOWN THE INTERSTATE ABOUT 70 MILES PER HOUR VEHICLE IN MOTION IT STARTED DRIVING DIFFERENT I PULLED OVER TO GET GAS ANYWAYS AND NOTICED BLACK SOOT ALONG BOTH SIDES OF THE VEHICLE IT WAS RAINING THAT NIGHT I DIDN'T REALLY THINK TOO MUCH OF IT I GOT HOME I TALKED TO A MECHANIC THAT'S A FRIEND AND HE NAME SEVERAL THINGS I DECIDED TO GOOGLE IT AND SAW THAT MY Kia Forte IS ON THE RECALL LIST FOR THE MOTOR CAUSING FIRES AND MOTOR FAILURE
I PURCHASED MY 2016 Kia Forte IN MARCH 2017 USED AND SINCE THEN I'VE BEEN HAVING SUSPENSION PROBLEMS. MAY 2017 I HAD 3 ALIGNMENTS AND I CONSTANTLY BEEN GETTING ALIGNMENTS AND REPLACING MY BRAKES AND TIRES. AUGUST 2020 MY CAR STARTED TO CUT OFF WHILE I WAS DRIVING AND ACCELERATE WHEN I TRIED TO STOP. MY CHECK ENGINE CODE AN IGNITION COILS PROBLEM SO I DID A FULL TUNE-UP AND OIL CHANGE IN SEPTEMBER. BUT IT DIDNT FIX THE PROBLEM SO AFTER THAT MY CAR CODE AN INTAKE FAILURE. I HAD IT REPAIRED IN OCTOBER BUT IT STILL DIDN'T FIX THE PROBLEM AND ON TOP OF THAT THE PISTONS IN THE ENGINE STARTED GRINDING. I TOOK MY CAR BACK TO THE SHOP AND THEY SAID THAT I NEED A WHOLE NEW ENGINE. NOW MY CAR BEEN SITTING EVERY SINCE THE BEGINNING OF NOVEMBER.
The low beam headlights hid have gone in and out while diving at night.. Then they have now blown out twice. At $100 dollars a piece.. This is unacceptable..!! There seems to be a shot circuit in the light switch itself.. It has blinked off when using the turn signal as well which leads me to come to this conclusion..
The engine began, without warning, consuming the oil. The engine then began making a knocking noise that is now irreparable without replacement. This knocking noise, due to low oil, was not preceded by the "oil light," as i had recently received an oil change. The car now struggles to accelerate and i have to add oil every 2 weeks or so. This is a similar issue with other kia models, with the same engine, that will be involved in a class action lawsuit in january 2021.
We were not experiencing any issues with the vehicle. My husband was driving home from work in the city and the car stopped running due to engine issues. It appears to be exactly what is in the recent recall but our car is not included. There was an oil leak that was not noticeable at all.
WHILE DRIVING ON HIGHWAY, DASHBOARD ALERTED TO FRONT END COLLISION WARNINGS BUT I WAS NOT IN A COLLISION THEN MOMENTS LATER THE FRONT DRIVER SIDE TIRE BLEW CAUSING BODY DAMAGE TO THE BUMPER AND GUARDS, TOTALLY SHREDDING THE TIRE. THE CAR HAS ONLY 18,500 MILES AND TIRES WERE PROPERLY INFLATED. NORMAL DRIVING USE. TIRES ARE MADE BY KUMHO AND THE CAR IS A Kia Forte. I HAVE SEEN OTHER COMPLAINTS OF THESE SPECIFIC BRAND TIRES BLOWING OUT AROUND 20,000 MILES EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE GUARANTEED FOR 70,000 MILES. UNFORTUNATELY BLOW OUTS, BUBBLES, ETC ARE ALL NOT COVERED UNDER TIRE WARRANTY OR UNDER CAR WARRANTY. VERY DISAPPOINTING AND VERY DANGEROUS.

Driving the car smelled a gas smell, then later a burning smell, then the car stalled, cranked it again it stalled again. Was smoking under the hood. Had just had this car oil change and multipoint inspection they stated the car was fine. Today they tell me it's engine failure. We were driving when the car stalled.

Vehicle experiences engine power loss as low and highway speeds. Engine power loss is accompanied by plume of oil smoke from exhaust, momentary check engine and low oil pressure light. Loss of engine power results in rapid engine deceleration of vehicle until stopped at which point the engine regains power. Vehicle has received maintenance in accordance with manufacturer recommended maintenance cycle.
Piston rod failure
The air bag light is on like if the bags deployed but they have not vehicle has not been in accident. They tell me it? S low voltage in airbag sensor? Vehicle was off turned on and the light came airbag deployed light came on and has not been able to turn off.
Since i have had this vehicle the horn was low. I rarely drive my vehicle so for the horn not to be working is really crazy. I have heard from other kia owner that they also have had to replace the horn. This is crazy.
While driving, my car just shut off and wasn? T working. I was unable to start it again. No oil lights, no engine lights, or any other warning lights came on prior to it dying. The dealership is telling me there is no oil in the motor and i am not understanding. I had the oil changed every 3-5,000 miles. The car shouldn? T have stopped operating with no warning lights. The car was in motion when it abruptly shut off. I was traveling on a city street during that time.
All of the headlamps / all tail/park/marker / all i/p illumination lamps goes out when turning on the turn signals while driving & signaling for an upcoming turn. This happens intermittently & is getting worse by the day. The lamps usually return to normal within a second or two.
53,000 no warning was driving along a highway car started to knock. Then all of the sudden car shuts off and i pull over. Come to find out engine through a rod in the block and was not cover under warranty because they said i didn? T have enough proof oil was never change even though i gave them all my receipts.
The automatic trunk latch will no longer works , so the trunk of my car is opened. The button on the key pad works fine but the latch will not lock. My car was sitting in the parking lot of my apartment complex.
