THE VEHICLE HAD BEEN REPAIRED BUT UPON RETRIEVING THE VEHICLE FROM THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND STARTING THE VEHICLE SMOKE WAS SEEN COMING FROM THE FRONT OF THE VEHICLE. THE CONTACT OPENED THE HOOD AND SAW A FIRE BEHIND THE ENGINE COMPARTMENT. THE FIRE DEPARTMENT WAS CONTACTED AND WAS ABLE TO EXTINGUISH THE FIRE. A POLICE REPORT WAS FILED. THE VEHICLE WAS THEN TOWED TO KIA OF CHERRY HILL (1803 MARLTON PIKE W, CHERRY HILL, NJ 08002) WHERE IT WAS DEEMED A TOTAL LOSS. THE CONTACT WAS RELATING THIS ISSUE TO NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 21V137000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC). THE MANUFACTURER HAD BEEN INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO THE KIA ENGINE SETTLEMENT HOTLINE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 80,542.
Since the used car lot did not supply is with a key fob, we have to use the key to unlock the doors. When putting key in driver's door and turning key twice in a row (quickly)to unlock all doors, we have to pull handle anywhere from 2-3 times before the door will open. The car was stopped and not running when this happens.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE HAD EXPERIENCED THE SAME FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 84,000.
The screen in car goes completely blank and will not go back on till you turn car back on. Blind spot warning doesn? T always work on highway collision light comes on when there isn? T anyone in front of you backroads and highway.
Rear hatch window shattered on bumper contact with a closed garage door from 6 inches. There was no damage to the aluminum garage door and no mark on the rear bumper. Car was put in reverse with foot on brake. Car idled into door when foot was removed from brake pedal.

We were driving steady at about 45 mph and the rpm gauge rubbed at random just once every time. It has happened more than once we don? T change your speed or anything it just rubs up to about 5000 rpm and go back to normal and does it sporadically

KIA KNOWINGLY SOLD US 2 DANGEROUS VEHICLE S, WE HAD THE KNOCK SENSOR INSTALLED PER THE "UPGRADE", FARCE, SHOULD BE RECALL. THE CAR STALLED IN TRAFFIC AND ANOTHER DEALERSHIP PUT IN A WIRING HARNESS EXTENSION. WE ONLY HAVE 13,000 MILES ON THIS CAR BECAUSE WE DO NOT FEEL SAFE. THE DEALERSHIP DID AN OIL CHANGE LAST YEAR AND DAY BEFORE YESTERDAY. I RECEIVED A TEXT THAT OUR FUEL NEEDED ADDITIVE. IT IS IN " FAIR CONDITION", RECOMMEND WITH EVERY OIL CHANGE. NOT TRUE, NEVER RECOMMENDED BEFORE AND 13,000 MILES. IT SHOULD NOT NEED ADDITIVE ANYWHERE. SEE ATTACHED SCREENSHOT. I was driving on the highway on a clear day with no cars around me when my sunroof exploded. The glass was defect and the manufacture isn't trying to accept responsibility. The dealership will not confirm how the denial was determined nor will they produce a formal denial letter. The biggest issue in my opinion is i don't even think kia looked at the photos because when i asked the dealership for them (because it's needed for a claim with kia consumer affairs) i was told they didn't have them. When i asked the body shop how they provided them to the dealership i was told by text. I opened a case with kia consumer affairs but they have yet to reach out to me and the case has been open for 34 days now. I was told by a different dealership they kia consumer affairs usually takes 3days to reach out.
According to kia which they posted at their website, electrical circuit within hecu may experience excessive current, thereby increasing the risk of an engine compartment fire. Took the car to dealer, had no parts, as of 4/12/21 no kia dealer has this part. Called kia, they supposedly going to ship parts end of april. They have no concern about public safety, despite i told them i can rent a car but you have to pay for it, that declined. Question is, why they haven't informed public and send the hecu parts to their dealers sooner? Taking risk to drive a car which has potential to cut fire seems not safe and displays kia negligence.
The car caught fire after being driven. As soon as it was parked it started smoking and within minutes it was engulfed in flames and totally destroyed
On january 14,2021 after work around 3:30 when i got in my car it wouldn? T start. We checked the oil and it had no oil. A towing truck picked up my car and took it to clay cooley kia in irving. It? S been sitting there since then and i was told i needed to pay 2,600 and that? S only for what they believe is wrong with it. Why am i being charge? On the recall notice says they will repair at no cost to the costumer. Am i being scam?
I was driving and i began smelling a burning smell when i hit the brakes. The smell has gotten stronger and not gone away. I made an appointment at the dealership after finding out there was recalls on vehicle that were my make and model and the recall described exactly what was happening. The dealership was not helpful. They said they had not gotten a recall on my specific car yet and though they could detect an? Odor? They weren? T certain what it was from and literally told me to not park indoors. And if my car caught fire to exit quickly. I also called kia and they told me the same thing and that i could try another place for a second opinion. I told them there was a recall and my fuses needed to be checked. No one wanted to help me.

THE CONTACT WAS ASKED TO BRING THE VEHICLE BACK AFTER 1,000 MILES TO PERFORM AN OIL CONSUMPTION TEST. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 64,000.
ON 12/24/18 MY 2015 Kia Sportage ENGINE SEIZED AS I WAS ENTERING THE HIGHWAY. THE CAR WAS TOWED TOWED TO THE DEALER. THE DEALER INFORMED ME THAT THE ENGINE NEEDED TO BE REPLACED, BUT IT COULD TAKE A COUPLE OF MONTHS BEFORE THEY GOT A NEW ENGINE. I DID NOT GET MY CAR UNTIL MID AUGUST OF 2019. WHEN I GOT MY CAR BACK IT WAS CONSUMING A LOT OF GAS. I WAS NOT AWARE OF THE HIGH FUEL CONSUMPTION UNTIL I TOOK MY CAR ON A ROAD TRIP ABOUT A MONTH AFTER I GOT MY CAR AND IT WAS ONLY GIVING ME ONLY ABOUT 200 MILES FOR A FULL TANK OF GAS ON THE HIGHWAY. I INFORMED THE DEALER OF THE ISSUE, BUT THEY ONLY ASKED WHY I HAD WAITED SO LONG. I TOLD THEM IT WAS NOT APPARENT TO ME BECAUSE I WAS ONLY DRIVING MY CAR FOR ERRANDS. THEY WOULD NOT CHECK MY CAR AS IT WAS NOT THROWING ANY ERRORS. I CONTINUED COMPLAINING AND THEY FINALLY DID A DIAGNOSTIC AFTER WHICH THEY TOLD ME I NEEDED TO REPLACE THE OXYGEN SENSORS. I HAD THE OXYGEN SENSORS REPLACED, BUT CAR CONTINUED TO CONSUME TOO MUCH GAS. A FEW MONTHS LATER I RECEIVED A RECALL NOTICE FOR "HIGH PRESSURE FUEL PIPE MAY LEAK". I TOOK THE TO THE CAR TO THE DEALER AROUND LATE MAY OR EARLY JUNE OF 2021 AND THEY CONDUCTED THE RECALL REPAIRS. I WAS ALSO REIMBURSED FOR MY OUT OF POCKET EXPENSES FOR REPLACING OXYGEN SENSORS. AFTER THE RECALL REPAIRS, MY CAR STILL CONTINUED TO CONSUME TOO MUCH GAS. TOWARDS THE END OF FEBRUARY 2021 THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON AND I STARTED SMELLING EXHAUST FUMES INSIDE MY CAR. THE DEALER DID A DIAGNOSTIC ON 3/8/21 AND TOLD ME THE CATALYTIC CONVERTER FAILED, BUT IT WAS OUT OF WARRANTY SO I HAD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS. MY CAR JUST REACHED 103K MILES AND HAS BEEN HAVING ISSUES SINCE THE ENGINE SEIZED AND WAS REPLACED. I'M ON A FIXED INCOME AND CAN'T AFFORD TO PAY FOR THE REPAIRS AND NOW I HAVE A CAR I CAN'T DRIVE BECAUSE IT HAS LOST POWER AND SMELLS OF EXHAUST FUMES INSIDE MY CAR.

THE MANUFACTURER RECALL NUMBER IS SC206A AND THE NHTSA RECALL NUMBER IS 21V137. MY VEHICLE WAS MANUFACTURED IN APRIL OF 2019 WHICH FALLS UNDER THE SPORTAGES AFFECTED. GIVEN THAT THIS RECALL IS A SERIOUS MATTER, I WOULD LIKE THIS RESOLVED AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

As i was pulling into a parking spot the car suddenly accelerated with great speed and lunged the car forward into a cement wall. I was in a parking garage and going very slow when it darted forward. It damaged the front number and the electronic sensors
