Side air bags deployed while crossing a railroad crossing.
On several occasions now the vehicle is engaging the automatic emergency braking system for no reason. Several times i have been driving on the highway without a car in front of me and it engages the automatic emergency braking system. This has caused me to almost be rear-ended because my vehicle slammed on the brakes. I have almost been in several accidents now due to the automatic emergency braking activating for no reason and cars almost hitting me.
Made noises out while i was driving at right now i drove home to again shift to park message omg this is to much please help me today again gm said no to replacement no repurchase this is my only car please help me
1. Air ride suspension compressor and air bags keep going out. Yes it is available to inspect. 2. As i was riding coming from 4 hrs away from my home rear air suspension bag went as i was on interstate 75 at a speed of 63 miles an hr, rear started swaying. 3. Independent repair service 4. No 5. An air suspension service light came on then went out only saw it once maybe 3 months prior to the air bags malfunctioned as i have been reading up on this, it is a popular issue with ram 1500.
I've had the car for 6 months. After a few months we noticed a "bucking" during acceleration and a "hesitation" when pressing the accelerator. Under medium to hard acceleration the car will exhibit these traits almost consistantly and now after 3500 miles it has become so noticeable that it is dangerous! The hesitation is "off the line" from a dead stop. There is at least a couple second delay sometimes when leaving a stop. And then as the car climbs in rpm's you can feel the engine struggling almost like a car with bad spark plug wires. It tends to "spit and buck" as it is accelerating. We have tried different fuels, fuel cleaners, different octanes, and nothing seems to curb the problem. We took the car to our local dealer and they confirm the problem but have stated that there is nothing they can do as it appears to be a software issue with the car. I have requested from toyota using their "brand engagement center" to provide an engineer to evaluate the car and so far have not heard back from them in almost a week.
The car lost propulsion while driving on an on-ramp road onto an interstate, luckily the car was able to make it the shoulder. Vehicle slowed to below 40mph and intermittently down to 0mph when waiting and restarting vehicle. Able to finally get home in the emergency lane. Very dangerous and do not recommend! The check engine light was not on prior to this and it was taken to the dealership where it diagnosed as a faulty battery energy control module (becm). The part is under warranty and awaiting replacement, but no spare parts are currently available. Internet review indicates an average of 3 months or 90-day until part received, serviced, installed, and repaired. Dealership without loaner car until november 22nd. Unacceptable customer service per previous gm rules to have a rental available and did not offer a rental service alternative upon drop off of the 2018 volt.

The power steering motor went out while i was driving. The message center on my dashboard alerted me just seconds before i couldn't steer. Luckily i was on a residential street and was able to get out of the road with a lot of effort steering. The car was taken to a local mechanic and we were told the power steering motor went out. The mechanic ordered the part and replaced it. The process took 3 weeks total to get the part, replace it and chevy dealer reprogramming it.
Burning over a quart of oil every 500 miles.
