    TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 Land Rover Range Rover Evoque. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE EXPERIENCED MULTIPLE ELECTRICAL SENSOR FAILURES WITH SEVERAL WARNING MESSAGES DISPLAYED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. AFTER EACH FAILURE, THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO LAND ROVER PARAMUS (405 NJ-17, PARAMUS, NJ 07652) WHERE THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED FOR EACH FAILURE. ON ONE OCCASION, THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE AT A COMPLETE STOP, THE VEHICLE STALLED WITHOUT WARNING WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DEPRESSED. DUE TO THE FAILURE, THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE SAME DEALER WHERE THE VEHICLE REPAIRED AGAIN. RECENTLY, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE STALLING FAILURE RECURRED, AND THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE SAME DEALER WHERE IT REMAINED IN THE DEALER POSSESSION. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND OFFERED NO ASSISTANCE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 2,643.

    For two years this car as had numerous episodes of while driving completely shutting down with no advanced warning and at various speeds. I have driven on warm, cold, wet and dry days when this has occurred. Most recently i was driving on a main street when the car just shut down and was almost hit from behind. The car has been in for service many times with no resolution, they say they can not duplicate the problem. This is a dangerous and unsafe automobile and i am lucky that the car behind me was able to avoid the collision. I am afraid to drive this car, luck was on my side this last time, i could have been injured or worse. Besides the shutting down this car has had so many electrical/computer issues and always needs software updates which don't really fix the problems and sometimes cause other issues to occur. (ie, the infotanment center, the bluetooth, the cameras, the media, the navigation, the access height moves while driving, the list is endless. ) since september 2018 this car has been in the dealership with many issues. Again, this car is dangerous and unsafe.

    ONE MONTH AFTER PURCHASING MY Land Rover Discovery I NOTICED THERE WAS A LAG TIME WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE WHEN MAKING A TURN. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT SHOULD BE RESOLVED BY UPDATING THE SYSTEM. THEY UPDATED IT BUT IT CONTINUED TO HAVE THE LAG ISSUE SO I COMPLAINED AGAIN AND THEY SAID IT?S THE NATURE OF THE CAR. I TOLD THEM THIS WAS VERY DANGEROUS AND THEY CLAIM THEY HAVEN?T RECEIVED ENOUGH COMPLAINTS TO SAY IT?S AN ISSUE WITH CAR. I ALSO HAVE HAD OTHER ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS SUCH AS THE NAVIGATION SCREEN GOING BLANK WHILE DRIVING OR NOT COMING ON AT ALL AND ALSO MY REMOTE KEY FOBS DO NOT WORK ALL THE TIME. EVEN WITH THE REMOTES IN MY HAND NEAR THE CONSOLE THE CAR WILL SAY THEY ARE NOT DETECTED. I BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY WERE FINE. TODAY, I RECEIVED A RECALL FROM LAND ROVER STATING THERE ARE VARIOUS ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH CAR WHERE THE VEHICLE COULD CUT OUT WHILE IN MOTION AND MAY LOSE ALL ELECTRICAL POWER. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO FIND OUT THEY ARE BOOKED OUT FOR 3 WEEKS SO I WILL HAVE TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE THIS UNSAFE CAR. I THINK IT?S VERY IRRESPONSIBLE OF LAND ROVER TO PUT OWNERS IN A POSITION TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE A VERY UNSAFE CAR. THESE CARS SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE ROAD.

    The key fob is consistently has issues with starting the vehicle. Key will not unlock doors when touching the handle. Vehicle will not start when parked. This is unsafe because i have been stranded in public places in the cold and the vehicle would not start. The dealership was actually no assistance. Changing batters did not work. Reprogramming keys did not work. They promised to order a new key fob, and then they said it was backordered. I felt like this is a lie. They have strung me along with no resolution. I have provided four service records to show the amount of times the vehicle was taken into the dealership about the vehicle not starting from key fob not being recognized.

    When the vehicle is parked. The vehicle consistently does not recognize the key fob. The vehicle doors will not unlock when touching the door handles, the car does not start when trying to use push to start. Gives an error message that the key is not recognized. This is a safety issue because it is unsafe to have a vehicle that cannot be started thereby stranding myself and my family during the cold winter months.
