Since past few months i am experiencing frequent stalling in my car. When car is at the traffic light and sometimes during turning at the corner, it just stops responding to peddle and i have to restart the engine and select gear again to move it. During the recent snowstorms, it once staled and started sliding backwards as engine stalled and transmission stopped working on traction. I had to quickly restart the engine and regain the control to get away with this situation. I think this situation is very dangerous on the road and could lead to fatal accident some day. I am putting rough date of 1st march as i do not know when was it started exactly but its been couple of months i am having this issue.
2015 evoque, 50k miles only. On feb 26th 2020, i was on the interstate and noticed a humming sound from engine side. Gradually it because so loud and non ignorable. The vehicle lost power and slowed down on the interstate. My whole family survived a cluster crash by mere luck. Dealership says turbo is blown and this is common problem. Bills $4500 and am out of warranty since nov 2020. Common problem??? How can a 5 yr old 50k vehicle have a common problem that costs $4500 to fix? My research show land rover was always aware of this turbo failure issues and never attempted to fix it. This is a design issue hidden from customers and we are made to pay for the defect. Please investigate this with lr and i request a recall of turbos on all defective lr vehicles asap.
While driving on a city street the car just stops. I would have a full tank of gas and the gage reads empty. In addition all lights on the dash board go on. The car had to be flat bedded many times. I have no documentation because the car was once again flat bedded into service currently , and all paperwork is in the car.

The emissions light came on while driving in town. Upon diagnostic testing, it was the turbo charger that went out. Computer read out was "turbo boost building up pressure". The mileage was at 47,000 miles only. I had to replace it and replacement was $4825 new or $3661 for remanufactured. This is something that has to be replaced or would further damage the engine. The printout on my receipt read "cracked exhaust manifold (turbo), internal fault solenoid replaced turbo/charger/exhaust manifold. Replaced wastegate solenoid. "
