THE VEHICLE THEN WAS TAKEN TO ANOTHER DEALER WHERE THE SUN ROOF WAS INSPECTED AND REPAIRED. THE REMEDY TO THE FAILURE WAS NOT DUPLICATED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE AND REFERRED THE CONTACT BACK TO THE DEALER. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 10,000.

ONE MONTH AFTER PURCHASING MY Land Rover Discovery I NOTICED THERE WAS A LAG TIME WHEN TRYING TO ACCELERATE WHEN MAKING A TURN. I TOOK IT TO THE DEALERSHIP AND THEY SAID IT SHOULD BE RESOLVED BY UPDATING THE SYSTEM. THEY UPDATED IT BUT IT CONTINUED TO HAVE THE LAG ISSUE SO I COMPLAINED AGAIN AND THEY SAID IT?S THE NATURE OF THE CAR. I TOLD THEM THIS WAS VERY DANGEROUS AND THEY CLAIM THEY HAVEN?T RECEIVED ENOUGH COMPLAINTS TO SAY IT?S AN ISSUE WITH CAR. I ALSO HAVE HAD OTHER ELECTRICAL PROBLEMS SUCH AS THE NAVIGATION SCREEN GOING BLANK WHILE DRIVING OR NOT COMING ON AT ALL AND ALSO MY REMOTE KEY FOBS DO NOT WORK ALL THE TIME. EVEN WITH THE REMOTES IN MY HAND NEAR THE CONSOLE THE CAR WILL SAY THEY ARE NOT DETECTED. I BROUGHT IT BACK TO THE DEALER AND THEY SAID THEY WERE FINE. TODAY, I RECEIVED A RECALL FROM LAND ROVER STATING THERE ARE VARIOUS ELECTRICAL ISSUES WITH CAR WHERE THE VEHICLE COULD CUT OUT WHILE IN MOTION AND MAY LOSE ALL ELECTRICAL POWER. I CALLED THE DEALERSHIP TO FIND OUT THEY ARE BOOKED OUT FOR 3 WEEKS SO I WILL HAVE TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE THIS UNSAFE CAR. I THINK IT?S VERY IRRESPONSIBLE OF LAND ROVER TO PUT OWNERS IN A POSITION TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE A VERY UNSAFE CAR. THESE CARS SHOULD BE TAKEN OFF THE ROAD.

The key fob is consistently has issues with starting the vehicle. Key will not unlock doors when touching the handle. Vehicle will not start when parked. This is unsafe because i have been stranded in public places in the cold and the vehicle would not start. The dealership was actually no assistance. Changing batters did not work. Reprogramming keys did not work. They promised to order a new key fob, and then they said it was backordered. I felt like this is a lie. They have strung me along with no resolution. I have provided four service records to show the amount of times the vehicle was taken into the dealership about the vehicle not starting from key fob not being recognized.

THERE IS A VERY SERIOUS ISSUE IN LANDROVER Discovery 2017 THAT ABRUPTLY SHUTS DOWN THE ENGINE FOR NO APPARENT REASON. ON NOV 20TH, 2020 MY WIFE WAS TRAVELLING TO PITTSBURGH PA ON ROUTE 76 PA TURNPIKE. NEAR BRADFORDFORD, PA THE ENGINE SUDDENLY SHUT ITSELF DOWN WITHOUT ANY PRE-WARNING. THE CAR STALLED WITH NO ABILITY OR AMPLE TIME FOR HER TO STEER TO THE SHOULDER. UNTIL HIGHWAY PATROL ARRIVED, SHE WAS COMPLETELY LEFT IN A HELPLESS AND LIFE THREATENING SITUATION. ANY BIG TRUCK COULD'VE EASILY REAR ENDED HER AND KILLED HER. HIGHWAY PATROL AND TURNPIKE AUTHORITY SERVICE PERSONNEL ARRIVED ONSITE, INSPECTED THE CAR BUT DID NOT FIND ANY APPARENT ISSUE. WITHOUT ANYTHING DONE ON THE CAR, AFTER 15 MINS OR SO THE ENGINE STARTED NORMALLY AS IF NOTHING HAPPENED.

THERE'S A WATER-PROOFING DEFECT WITH THE Discovery LAND ROVER (AT LEAST 2017-2019). I PREVIOUSLY PURCHASED NEW A 2017 DISCOVERY NEW, AND WATER ENTERED FROM THE ROOF AND WINDSHIELD AND THE DEALER REPLACED IT WITH A 2019. SAME ISSUE IS OCCURRING - WITH RAIN WATER ENTERING FROM WINDSHIELD AND ROOF AND FLOODING INTERIOR OF CAR. APPEARS TO BE A DEFECT IN MANUFACTURING THAT CAUSES SAFETY ISSUES AS WATER IS LITERALLY DRIPPING ON THE DRIVER AND FRONT INTERIOR WHILE I DRIVE THE CAR.

Bought car last may, 2019, and within four months was back and forth to the dealership for repairs. Water got inside my vehicle from the front windshield with water everywhere inside, including the dashboard, screen and main console. Dealership said it was from the window recalls, but mine never was recalled. They said the seals where faulty. Faulty engine o2 sensor (three faulty codes) right when i was driving back from my windshield repair. Turned around and dropped car back off. Camera system fault message was on the screen. They claim nothing was wrong. This was after water got into my car. Basically, i'm just waiting for the next thing to happen with my car with so much water getting inside the cabin and main console area. Dealership said they can do nothing about it as everything is working now. Vehicle was sitting outside when water got inside. When other items happened, i was driving. These happened on june of 2019, september of 2019 and november 0f 2019.

The back left passenger door opened while the vehicle was in motion and when i stopped the vehicle and tried to close the door it would not shut, it would spring open and not latch. This has happened twice now. The first time it occurred one month ago and i took the car to the dealer and they claimed there was no recall and they alleged to have done a reset which they understood would solve the safety issue. Yesterday, approximately one month later, it occurred again. I was driving on a main roadway with many cars around me and i noticed the door was ajar and in risk of hitting the cars driving by me. I immediately slowed down and pulled to the side of the road and tried to close the door and it would not latch close. Both times this has happened i was driving at moderate speed, at around 35 mph, on main roadways with many other cars around me, so it was difficult to immediately pull over and avoid damage and harm. Yesterday, when i pulled to the side of the road, i called the dealer and they told me they would send a towing truck. After waiting 2 hours on side of road, my husband came and taped the door shut so that i could drive it to the dealer. When we arrived at the dealer the service supervisor came out and viewed it and saw it for himself and experimented with the fact that the door would not close, no matter what effort was made. The dealer is in possession of the car now, apparently checking what the issue is and to then find a solution. However, i have no confidence that they will in fact solve this safety issue because it has already happened one time and they said they fixed it and it occurred again one month later. This is a very serious safety issue because i have young children who sit in the back seat and also other people/vehicles could be affected by a door flying open while a car is in motion in a public road.

2017 Land Rover Discovery HSE, MAJOR WATER LEAK FROM THE UPPER CORNER, PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR. THE LEAK HAPPENS WHEN IT RAINS OR SNOWS (BOTH STANDING STILL OR IN MOTION). THE WATER SO FAR HAS TOUCHED THE A-PILLAR AIRBAG, THE SAFETY CAMERAS ON THE WINDSHIELD AND OTHER ELECTRICAL WIRING. ADDITIONALLY THE WATER FINDS ITS WAY TO THE CARPETING ON THE FLOOR. IN ONE OCCASION TODAY (1/8/2020) WATER SPILLED INTO MY HEAD FROM RIGHT ABOVE THE REAR-VIEW MIRROR WHILE I WAS TAKING AN EXIT RAMP. THIS GOT ME DISTRACTED FOR A COUPLE OF SECONDS, ALMOST RUNNING OFF THE ROAD. LAND ROVER IS AWARE OF THE ISSUE, HOWEVER THEY WAIT FOR THE CUSTOMER TO REPORT THE PROBLEM BEFORE THEY DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. IT SEEMS THAT THE OWNERS HAVE BEEN EXPERIENCING THIS ISSUE AS EARLY AS LATE 2017 (BASED ON INTERNET BLOGS). IT ALSO SEEMS THAT THERE IS A FLAW WITH THE EARLY PRODUCTION MODELS, REQUIRING LAND ROVER TO REPLACE THE ENTIRE WINDSHIELD TO RESOLVE THE ISSUE, HOWEVER AFTER OVER 50 DAYS OF REPORTING THE ISSUE, LAND ROVER HAS FAILED TO PROVIDE THE REPLACEMENT PART. AS A CONSUMER I BELIEVE THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE, MAINLY BECAUSE IT CAN CAUSE ELECTRICAL SHORTAGE WITH SAFETY COMPONENTS, IN ADDITION TO DISTRACTING THE DRIVER DUE TO UNEXPECTED WATER DROP WHILE OPERATING THE CAR.

While traveling or standing still the vehicle leaks rainwater from the entire top front windshield. Depending on how hard and how much rain is falling will depend on how much water leaks and accumulates inside into the interior vehicle cabin. I have found several inches in cup holders after a long rainstorm. The dealer advised they have had several complaints on this particular make/model. Advise they will replace seam located on top of the windshield. The part on order, still waiting for the dealer to call. This is a safety hazard which impairs drivers visibility during inclement weather, causes unnecessary distraction and a possible electrical hazard.

UPON STAYING IN THE MOUNTAINS OF NORTH CAROLINA AND ENTERING THE CAR ONE MORNING AFTER A RAIN STORM, AND WHILE STILL RAINING IN THAT MORNING, WATER HAD BEEN AND CONTINUED TO, LEAK IN THROUGH THE TOP PASSENGER SIDE OF THE WINDOW SHIELD. THIS RESULTED IN A SUBSTANTIAL AMOUNT OF WATER ON THE HEADLINER, FLOORING, AND DASH BOARD. VEHICLE HAS REMAINED WITH DEALERSHIP SINCE 11/29 FOR REPAIRS AND PART REPLACEMENT. PER DEALERSHIP, THE FAULTY WINDOW SHIELD IS A KNOWN AND COMMON PROBLEM IN THE NEW DiscoveryS YET HAS NOT BEEN RECALLED. AS AN ATTORNEY AND AN OWNER OF A 2018 DISCOVERY, I HAVE ESCALATED TO JAGUAR LANDROVER CORPORATE. I HAVE A VIDEO AND PHOTOS AVAILABLE HOWEVER I BELIEVE THE VIDEO IS TOO LARGE TO UPLOAD. POSSIBLE DAMAGE TO ELECTRICAL AND/OR LONG TERM DAMAGE AND LOSS OF VALUE IS UNKNOWN.
