In february of 2024, my check engine light came on. I took it to a dealership who informed that it was a spark plug issue and that they had replaced it. The check engine light came on again fairly soon after, and before i could get it back to the dealership the car died. I had it towed there and was told that the battery needed to be replaced. The day after i got my car back, the light came back on again. After taking it back to the dealership, it was determined to be an engine issue, with coolant leaking everywhere (which is what ruined the spark plug and battery. ) the estimate to fix this issue is $6,550. 00. My lincoln mkz has approximately 60,000 miles and one owner who took care of the maintenance religiously - this should not be happening.

Left front drivers door flies open while driving. Door has already been repaired twice by dealers and problem keeps returning.
Brake booster is a known issue with these cars. It failed today and my car has 100,000 miles. Ford has issued a customer satisfaction notice, but they refuse to fix my car because it was built 3 months too early.
The contact owns a 2022 lincoln aviator. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 23v342000 (back over prevention) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was not made aware of the issue. The contact stated that while the vehicle was reversing at approximately 3 mph, the back-over prevention camera screen turned blue. The contact stated that the failure was intermittent however, after turning off and restarting the vehicle on several occasions the vehicle regained normal functionality. While driving a complete loss of brake incident occurred. The brake pedal got still, and the car would not stop. Luckily, we were close to home and was able to slow down enough to turn around and get home slowly. Upon investigation it was found the coupler (part that connects camshaft to brake pump) failed causing the brake pump to not work. This situation is extremely dangerous as we had no prior warning to failure. Even the complete loss of brakes did not have any indicator lights during the incident. Considering the operation of the coupler, how could something so small and so important be weak enough to snap internally, causing a complete loss of brakes with no warning.
Complete loss of brakes while driving. Thankfully it was very soon after leaving home. Brake pedal was extremely stiff, and the brakes would not work. Upon investigation it was found the camshaft coupler screw broke inside the camshaft and the vacuume pump had failed. This is an extremely dangerous design due to 0 warning lights on dash, and no prior warnings. Just a complete loss of brakes abruptly.
Steering gear for power assistance failed while driving and the steering gear had to be replaced. Car became very difficult to steer. Luckily was not driving at speed and it happened in a parking lot. I live in a mountainous area with lots of curves. Could have easily resulted in an accident. Was able to drive back home slowly as it happened while in my sub-division. Had to have car towed to the nearest dealer for repairs as it was unsafe to drive at speed.
