Just like all the other cars made by ford on their platform the power steering locked up while driving. Cause a near fatal accident.

We believe the moonroof shattered while sitting in our garage. I left with the vehicle and had not noticed anything until my daughter asked where the cold air hitting her face was coming from as we started down the road. I pushed the button for the interior panel to open, and as it began opening we saw shattered glass everywhere. Nothing fell on this at all. The glass appears to have buckled and shattered. This is a manufacturer defect that lincoln needs to address.
Yesterday as i was driving on the i 4 east i suddenly heard a big noise coming from my car it was the sunroof explore the front part of the glass it shadow the glass. I was driving i did not think anything hit sunroof at all , i just heard the noise and half of my sunroof was broken in pieces. I checked a few glass companies and get a price to fix it was about 4000 to 5000 dollars. Can you please help i think it? S a defective glass. Thank you
While making a turn onto highway my electric power steering completely went out with cars turning next to me. It yanked the wheel out of my hand almost causing a crash. Then a window appears in ly car saying your steering has failed pull over safely. Little late for that. After getting car to dealer and waiting i searched and found electric steering recall from 2015 some 400k cars. The same year mine was built. Dealer says no but its the same exact problem.
I have owned this car for less than a year and the moonroof has shattered on me twice already. The front one to be exact, both times it was raining but normal rain, i live in northen california. No objects hit my car and no accident. It sounds like a loud gunshot near you and its very scary i almost caused an accident because i swerved to next lane due to being scared of the loud noise. First time i was on my way to reno and i had to keep going but it was hell and one of the worst experience of my life. Part of the glass flew off within minutes of me driving so rain got into my car. I had to tape a tarp down with gorilla tape to get to a safe destination. There was glass inside the car and my little brother got cut on his arm, this glass is thick and heavy! The second time was 8 months after i had it repaired. Raining again but this time i was at a stop light when i heard the gunshot noise and i immediately knew what happened. I was scared but so very upset that it happened again just months apart. It's very upsetting that lincoln has not recognized this as a defect on this vehicle. I have read numerous blogs as on here the same complaint from people all over the us that this has happened to. It's so unsafe to drive and upsetting because i really love the vehicle other than that huge defect. On top of that this repair is costly, glass alone is $1400-1600 without labor in my area. I hope that lincoln will soon take responsibility and i plan to keep fighting this fight as i have a feeling this will continue to happen. I feel so unsafe driving this vehicle now. I really hope more people complain and speak up.
TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 Lincoln MKT. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT START FROM A PARKED POSITION. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS EXPERIENCING THE SAME SYMPTOMS AS LISTED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V621000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE). THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED TO AN INDEPENDENT MECHANIC AND THE FUEL PUMP WAS REPLACED. THE MANUFACTURER AND DEALER WERE NOT NOTIFIED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 45,800. THE VIN WAS INVALID.
While driving home on a street my sunroof exploded. Sounded like a bomb. We immediately pulled over and checked. No impact seen. A few days later took to our local lincoln dealership. They claimed maybe a possible impact seen and car no longer under warranty for glass. Had to pay my $500 deductible and have it fixed. There was no impact. No one around us. Went under no bridges. Lincoln needs to step up and figure out what is going on.
I drove in my driveway. Shifted to park and turned off the ignition, popped the trunk release. Exited the car and saw the trunk lid was down. Got the remote out of my pocket and pressed it to open trunk. Trunk still didn't open. Went back to driver's door, opened it and the alarm system and lights went off, and my car started rolling backwards and knocked me down and ran over me!
Rear window spontaneously shattered. Daylight hours, approximately 70 degrees fahrenheit, dry weather conditions, parked in shaded area. Driver walked to vehicle, sat in driver seat, closed driver-side door, and started vehicle uneventfully. Less than one minute later the rear window spontaneously shattered. Driver cut left hand on broken glass when attempting to retrieve personal belongings in the rear compartment.
2015 Lincoln MKT HAS HAD TWO FORWARD SUNROOFS SHATTER SINCE I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE IN JULY OF 2017. THE FIRST OCCURRED WHEN A STONE KICKED FROM A TRUCK TIRE STRUCK IT. BUT THE SECOND INCIDENT OCCURRED WITH NO SUCH TRAFFIC AROUND MY VEHICLE. THE GLASS SHATTERED AS I HEARD TWO LOUD CRACKS WITHIN ABOUT 5 SECONDS OF ONE ANOTHER. AGAIN, I OBSERVED NO TRAFFIC THAT WOULD LIKELY BE THE SOURCE OF A THROWN STONE, AND INDEED, OBSERVED NO OBJECTS INBOUND TO STRIKE MY VEHICLE. THE NATURE OF THE SECOND SUN ROOF'S BREAK LEADS ME TO BELIEVE THERE IS A SEVERE DEFECT IN THE REPLACEMENT SUN ROOF (PRESUMABLY SOURCED FROM FORD/LINCOLN, GIVEN IT'S EXPENSE AND THE TIME REQUIRED TO ACQUIRE IT).
While traveling on a highway, the moonroof on my vehicle exploded (sounded like a. 38 going off). I immediately pulled over to see what had happened (thinking maybe it was a blown tire) only to find that the moonroof had completely shattered (see attached pictures). I had two other people in my vehicle at the time. Ford knows that this is a flaw and won't recall these vehicles in which i believe should be mandatory as it is a highly dangerous safety issue.
My moonroof shattered with no reason as i was pull from my driveway. Outside temperature 28 degrees not even cold for a chicago. I was driving no more than 15 miles and no hard brakes or bumps just suddenly cracked all over.
This vehicle is a rental from budget. On 11/10 - 11/11/17, driving from ft myers, fl to knoxville, tn, on i-75, at highway speeds of 55-80 mph, while changing lanes, vehicle would start to steer smoothly either to left or right, and then suddenly the vehicle would surge (dart) more to left or right. To me it acted like if turning left, the left wheel suddenly encountered some drag, like in mud or sand and same for right turning, the right front wheel acted as if it hit something to cause drag or resistance which would make the vehicle act like it was over-steering. Happened often. Makes driver feel some degree of loss of control
Vehicle was on i-78 on a clear day with a temperatue of 75 degrees at a speed of less than 70 mph, no bridges, no rough pavement. All of a sudden the fixed panoramic roof (forward panel) shattered caused a loud bang. Sounded like a tire blew out! No evidence of a rock or other material striking the panel, no body damage, just the roof panel. Luckily we had the sun shade panel closed so we didn't experience any glass shards falling on us.
While driving on city street, the front section of the moon roof exploded with a loud bang and created a crack in the glass from side to side. On the drive home other cracks developed along the driver side edge. Took it to a dealer the following day and was told to "call your insurance company! ". On the way home from the dealer the roof shattered. Called ford and was told that they would not cover glass.
While driving on the parkway a loud explosion noise occurred; glass from the sunroof came into the vehicle. No vehicles were in front of me. The front portion of the sunroof had a gaping hole. A police report was filed there was no evidence of a rock or bullet as the reason for the incident.

THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER WHERE IT WAS DIAGNOSED THAT THE SUN ROOF FRACTURED AND NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 6,000.
