Passenger restraint malfunction chime sounded every 5 seconds for 35 minutes. Passenger airbags are now disabled. Blind spot monitoring only works sometimes.... A mind of its own.
Driver's side seat belt is too sensitive. Without even stopping abruptly, the seat belt becomes locked making it difficult if trying to lean forward to see if traffic is coming as seat belt doesn't unlock easily. I typically have to unclip the seat belt to let it retract then put it back on. This happens almost daily. Car doesn't have to be in motion either, i can be stopped and not all but most times if leaning forward the belt becomes locked. I've had many cars, none with this issue. Happens when slowing down or stopped and leaning.
My 2015 mazda5 was involved in a single vehicle high speed rollover crash with 4 kids in it. They were on a dead end road that ran parallel to a divided highway. Upon the initial impact the front airbags deployed. The vehicle then rolled several times, landing drivers side down 150-200 feet from the initial impact. Neither side airbags deployed. The front passenger seat was visibly twisted. Also my sons seatbelt came undone on impact, resulting in several critical injuries that required him to be airlifted to a children? S trauma center. The vehicle was totaled. The weather was clear, roads dry and it was daylight, a little after 5pm. *dt *tr
