The vehicle was towed to motorcars of atlanta (7865 roswell rd ne, sandy springs, ga 30350) to be diagnosed. The contact was informed that the coolant leaked from a defective hose. The vehicle was repaired. The vehicle was later taken to an independent mechanic for an oil change and the contact was informed that the coolant hose that was replaced had started to leak oil and coolant. The vehicle was taken back to the same dealer and the contact was informed that the leak was considered too small to be repaired under warranty. The contact linked the failure to nhtsa campaign number: 20v231000 (fuel system, gasoline) however, the vin was not included. The vehicle was not repaired. I have received two recall letters in the past ten months telling me that the passenger airbag in my car may explode with 'shards of shrapnel injuring or killing the passenger'. When i ask my dealer to fix this recall i am told that they do not have the parts.
Takata recall - vehicle involved in serious crash in feb 2018. The vehicle's airbag did not deploy at all. Vehicle was struck from behind, driver lost control in which vehicle was struck several times with both passenger and driver damage along with extensive front end no deployment of airbags.
