RECENTLY REPLACED THE ROTORS AND PADS ON ALL FOUR WHEELS OF MY Outlander. ALL BUT THE REAR PASSENGER ARE WORKING FINE, WHILE THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE IS MAKING A GRINDING NOISE. WE?VE REPLACED THE BRAKE PADS 3 TIMES, REPLACED THE ROTOR ONCE, AND EVEN REPLACED THE WHOLE CALIPER; IT?S STILL MAKING A GRINDING SOUND. THERE?S A RECALL POSTED FOR SOME 2016 OUTLANDERS FOR THE PARKING BRAKE NOT ENGAGING/DISENGAGING PROPERLY AND WE MIGHT THINK THIS IS THE PROBLEM; HOWEVER, THIS RECALL IS NOT APPLIED TO OUR 2016 OUTLANDER. I THINK WE ARE HAVING THE EXACT PROBLEM THAT IS LISTED ON THIS RECALL.

I AM A RIDESHARE DRIVER. ON FRIDAY, APRIL 23, 2021 PASSENGERS BEGAN TO COMPLAIN THAT THE RIGHT-SIDE SEAT BELT (ON THE 2ND ROW OF SEATS) WOULD NOT FASTEN. AFTER ARRANGING FOR PEOPLE TO MOVE AROUND TO THE OTHER SIDE (LEFT-HAND SEAT) FOR A WHILE, I FINALLY QUIT DRIVING TO DEAL WITH THE ISSUE MYSELF. AFTER NUMEROUS ATTEMPTS TO REPAIR THE BUCKLE, I GAVE UP AND STARTED CALLING AROUND FOR THE PART--BUT COULD NOT FIND IT. FINALLY I NOTICED A RECALL NOTICE ONLINE FOR THIS EXACT SAME ISSUE IN 2014-2019 Mitsubishi OutlanderS. ON MONDAY (APRIL 26) I CALLED SCOTT ELDER MITSUBISHI IN CEDAR PARK, TEXAS TO SCHEDULE THE RECALL REPAIR, BUT WAS TOLD THAT MY VIN NUMBER IS NOT COVERED UNDER THE RECALL. THEY ALSO DID NOT HAVE THE PART AND COULD NOT OBTAIN ONE FOR AT LEAST A WEEK. I THEN CALLED THE MANUFACTURER DIRECTLY TO LEARN WHY MY VEHICLE IS NOT COVERED FOR THE RECALL EVEN THOUGH IT IS A 2019 AND HAS THE EXACT SAME PROBLEM AS DESCRIBED IN THE RECALL NOTICE. THEY COULD NOT GIVE ME A SATISFACTORY ANSWER, NOR ANY ALTERNATIVE RECOURSE TO RESOLVE MY ISSUE. AS STATED ABOVE, I AM A RIDESHARE DRIVER. I CANNOT DO MY JOB WITH AN UNUSABLE SEAT BELT. SWITCHING PASSENGERS TO THE OTHER SEAT WON'T ALWAYS WORK BECAUSE I OFTEN PICK UP 3 OR MORE PASSENGERS. EACH DAY I AM WITHOUT THE USE OF THE VEHICLE FOR WORK IS COSTING ME $250-$300 PER DAY (NOT COUNTING BONUSES).

Recall notice on 1/1/2021 on rear brake operating shaft. Inquired several times over past few months. Still the problem has not been taken care of, answer haven? T gotten the parts. This is in my recall. ? If the parking break does not operate properly, it could lead to a vehicle rollaway and increase the risk of a crash.?

Cruse control shuts off saying acc not available during road trips. This is on highways. It happened 5 times during road trip from milwaukee, wisconsin to wausau wisconsin while in motion.. This happens every time i use the cruse control. It happened on the way to wausau and on the way home round trip apx 600 miles this trip

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER HAD EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. RUSS DARROW MITSUBISHI (W226S1700 WI-164, WAUKESHA, WI 53186) AND THE MANUFACTURER WERE MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT HAD EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE LISTED IN THE RECALL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 54,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

Vehicle has had ev system service required, bsw service required, and asc service required warning lights come on every few days since september. When these come on multiple safety features of the vehicle are immediately disabled. The dealer has been unable to fix the issue after five visits including one where they had the vehicle for 65 days. Per the manu: ev system service required: "one or more failure is occurring in the plug-in hybrid ev system. Have your vehicle inspected by a certified mitsubishi ev dealer" asc system service required "there is a fault in the active stability control. Contact a certified mitsubishi ev dealer to have the system checked" bsw service required "the blind spot warning (bsw) does not operate normally because there there are some malfunctions in the sensor or the system. Immediately have your vehicle inspected at a certified mitsubishi ev dealer" when the warning display appears the bsw will be deactivated.

The 2017 has the same cvt transmission as the recalled 2015 and 2016 models. I have owned the car for 4 years and its now hesitating on acceleration - a classic sign of cvt failure. Mitsubishi mechanic advises me to pay 8 thousand dollars to replace this as its out of warranty (124k miles) i contend that this should be recalled as the prior years models are.

Key for doors does not unlock with the key. Original owner never used key to unlock. They said there is no recalls. This is a danger when you cannot get in car with out remote.

I was at a stop sign turning onto a highway, i accelerated and my car was moved into the middle of the road and my car turned off and then turned back on just a second or so later and i was able to drive again. I am not certain what happened as there were no codes thrown and the car continued to operate after turning itself back on. I am wondering if there is something in the computer programming that is faulty. When i got home, i checked all the connections and did not see any obvious faults. I also checked all fluid levels and caps just to be certain it wasn't something related to any of that somehow. It is scary though because there were vehicles coming toward me from both directions.

WIFE WAS DRIVING HER 2016 Mitsubishi Outlander FROM BISBEE TO SIERRA VISTA, AZ ON SR 92 WHEN ALL OF A SUDDEN SHE HEARD AN EXPLOSION. SHE IMMEDIATELY DUCKED THINKING THAT SOMEONE HAD SHOT AT HER. A NEARBY MOTORIST WAS POINTING TO HER AND HER CAR. SHE DIDN'T KNOW WHAT TO MAKE OF IT, SO SHE PULLED OVER AND EXAMINED HER CAR AND NOTICED A HUGE HOLE IN HER CAR SUNROOF. SHE HAD CALLED ME (HUSBAND) AND TOLD ME WHAT HAPPENED AND ADVISED HER TO CONTINUE TO DRIVE HOME SLOWLY, SO SHE ACTIVATED HER EMERGENCY LIGHTS AND DROVE SLOW. THEN SHORTLY, SHE WAS PULLED OVER BY A COCHISE COUNTY DEPUTY AND ASKED HER IF SHE WAS IN A CAR ACCIDENT AND TOLD THE DEPUTY SHE WAS NOT INVOLVED IN A CAR ACCIDENT AND TOLD HIM WHAT HAPPENED AND WAS TAKEN BACK BY THE SUNROOF DAMAGE. THE DEPUTY ADVISED HER SHE COULDN'T DRIVE THE VEHICLE BECAUSE ALL THE GLASS WAS FALLING ONTO THE ROADWAY. SHE SAID SHE WOULD CALL ME TO GET A TOW TRUCK AND SAID HE WOULD FOLLOW HER INTO TOWN AND SAID TO GO STRAIGHT HOME IN WHICH SHE DID RIGHT AWAY.

UPON RETURN OF THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT EXPERIENCED THE FAILURE AGAIN WHILE TRAVELING ON THE HIGHWAY WITH THE TRANSMISSION OVERHEAT AND BRAKE SYSTEM WARNING LIGHTS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT THEN RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER :20V741000 (PARKING BRAKE) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS UNAVAILABLE. THE CONTACT HAD ALSO TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO CERRITOS MITSUBISHI (10944 SOUTH ST, CERRITOS, CA 90703) WHERE THEY INSPECTED THE VEHICLE AND THEY ALSO WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE FAILURE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE ISSUE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 44,000. VIN TOOL CONFIRMS PARTS NOT AVAILABLE.

When using the brake auto hold i stepped on the gas while scratching my side at the same time to cross the road. I accidentally unbuckled my seat belt which then caused the brake auto hold to disengage and automatically apply the parking brake. This caused my car to stop directly in front of oncoming traffic. I could not disengage the parking brake until i rebuckled my seat belt.

I went to go turn on my car when i got out of work and when i put the vehicle on drive and pressed the gas pedal the car would not move when the gas pedal was pressed! So i turned off the car and turned the car back on and put the car on drive and pressed the gas pedal and the car revved up and moved a little with hesitation. So i put the car on reverse and pressed the gas pedal and car would rev up but not move! So i turned off the car and turned it back on again and put it in reverse again and pressed the gas pedal again and the car moved but with hesitation and with not a lot of force! So i leave the car at my workplace and get the car towed to my house the next day! I call the dealer because my mechanic seen there was a recall with the vehicle hesitating to move and i gave them my vin number and the dealer told me there? S nothing they could do because my vehicle wasn? T on the recall list! They also told me that to replace the transmission it was going to cost about $8000. My vehicle only has 114000 miles i shouldn? T be having this problem! So now i? M stuck with a car that needs a new transmission/power train!

The epb (emergency parking break) was some how activated, not sure if by accident or wiring issue and now will not disengage. I cannot drive my vehicle and have not been able to get it into the dealer for 3 weeks.
