Ecm pd128my16-17 nissan has no cure
The contact owns a 2021 nissan titan. The contact stated that while driving at 40 mph, another vehicle turned in front of their vehicle, causing the contact's front end to hit the other vehicle's passenger side. The air bags failed to deploy. Both vehicles had severe damage to the body of the vehicle. The contact received a concussion and needed medical assistance. A police report was filed. The vehicle was towed but the final decision regarding it being totaled had not been decided. The vehicle had not been taken to the dealer and the cause of the air bags failing had not been diagnosed. The vehicle had not received any repairs. The dealer was contacted, and they were referred to the manufacturer. The manufacturer was not made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was 77,000.
2017 57,000 miles, very well maintained truck with turbo actuator issues (replaced 3 times). I was driving down the highway taking my kid to practice, when the truck started to act up. I took the cruise control off and started slowing down to get to a safe place off of the highway, when the truck shut off and came to a complete stop. Transmission shifting is abrasive particularly when coming to a stop. Vehicle lurches forward when transmission shifts from 2nd to 1st. Loss of control imminent when traveling on slick surfaces. I have brought this to the attention of my local dealership and was told there are no warning lights illuminated so the transmission is working correctly. They also stated that this is a common complaint with no remedy?
I want to put on record that the rear camera system is not able to be adjusted to a point where you can visually see after dark. To further the issue, the reverse lamps are not adequately bright enough to safely back up using the mirrors at night. I do understand this is the last model year for this vehicle however there is surely an issue that can be resolved by nissan. After having the issue myself i had looked online and find a disturbing amount of complaints related to the issue.
Gas spilling out when refilling. Fuel tank had been whistling from beginning ownership in 2020 but no problem refilling. Most recently however gas will quickly overflow when attempting to fill. This has occurred several times recently, but it was never an issue before. Spillage is not dependent on tank volume. Spillage occurs when low and/ or mostly filled. I have to trickle gas from pump in order to fill, but this takes quite a while to put in several gallons. If i attempt to fill normally gas will come gushing out after a few seconds.
Crankshaft failure.
Perfectly maintained vehicle, 68,000 mikes on the nissan titan xd diesel- stock - drove it to work, then swapped with my son so he could barrow the truck as his was getting serviced- he owns a lawncare company, he calls stating the truck lost power, started vibrating, and started banging while towing his equipment. Just changed the oil the day prior. Been changing oil for 30+ years - always triple check levels - all correct. Use shells best t6 fully synthetic, fleet guard filter and change every 6-7k.
