Car need transmission replaced - there is no warning on car that transmission is having major issues (ie no check engine light). My car shakes on turning this has been on going since i purchased the car in 2017. In late 2023 the car did not have as much pick up power like it used to and had a whining noise once you drive for a while (without the power it used to). There were no check engine light warning to date. On 1/12/24 i used auto zone engine diagnostic and following error codes came up - p17fo - cvt judder p17f2 -judder t/c inspection diagnostic at aamco on 3/25/24 show additional issues that don’t show any warning signs eg check engine light per aamco additional issues: engine missing cylinder 3,4; and cylinder 1 is misfiring. Transmission juddering around 2nd gear, chain slipping under pressure…transmission having internal mechanical failure. I am not sure if these issues are serious enough to show as check engine. If they should i don’t know why my car check engine light is not on?

2016 Nissan PATHFINDER
  • Date of Incident: Apr-13, 2024
  • Date complaint filed: Apr-13, 2024
  • Failed components: AIR BAGS

Occupant air bag sensor is on constantly and air bag light on dashboard. My vehicle has never been in an accident. There was a recall issued for my vehicle in 2016. I purchased my car in 2017 new and it was overstock vehicle. The recall was cleared in august 2016 by dealer and i just found this out when vehicle was taken to nissan dealership for different recall on 4/6/24. Since the vehicle is out of warranty now dealership will not clear recall again but state it is the exact same code. Advised me to contact nissan usa but they denied my claim for repair. This is an extreme safety hazard and nissan should honor there safety recall repairs in and out of warranty. Please review my claim because i have seen more complaints online.

2021 Nissan Altima
  • Date of Incident: Feb-02, 2024
  • Date complaint filed: Apr-13, 2024
  • Failed components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Based on comments from various post online, it is a common issue that the doors’ lock on Altimas with no warning or reasoning just stop working. Whatever position the lock is in, is the one that the lock will stay on even if a safety feature that’s advertised and you expect is for the Altima to automatically lock up when you begin to drive. At this point my personal Altima has not been inspected or fixed by anyone, just a day to day experience of having to check my backseat before getting in to make sure no one is in the back of my car because the doors do not lock. It’s been since about February that the car doors locking mechanism will not engage on two of my car doors, even if you press the lock/unlock switch inside of the door, the lock/unlock button on the key fob, nor the button on the outside of the door handle.
