Nissan Complaints

2017 Nissan Armada
  • Date of Incident: Apr-15, 2024
  • Date complaint filed: Apr-15, 2024
  • Failed components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Although i have a brand new battery, there is a short in the system that causes it to drain entirely when turned off. At least twice a month, the battery will die because it won't hold a charge when not operating. This is especially challenging when it is very warm in the summer. Once the battery is jumped, i have to run the vehicle for 30 minutes to recharge and hope it is full. I've been told it's a known defect but not yet a recall, but i can cite many examples of how this creates a safety issue when i am unable to jump it repeatedly with my portable jumper. As it is an electrical issue, this needs to be addressed and cited as a recall to stop the insanity!

2012 Nissan MURANO
  • Date of Incident: Oct-13, 2023
  • Date complaint filed: Apr-15, 2024
  • Failed components: AIR BAGS

I purchased 2012 nissan murano in jul 2012. Recently the airbag light is on and keeps flashing when start the car. It happened since 6 months ago. I sent my car to the local nissan dealer, they charged me $149 diagnostic fee + $1500 to replace the airbag diag unit under the center console. After the replacement, the airbag light is still on and flashing. My car cannot pass the annual inspection because of the airbag light. It's a big safety concern. The dealer told me i need to get the passenger seat bottom sensor replaced, the pars has been discontinued. I am very surprised the airbag is related safety issue, why nissan discontinued the parts? And i google this issue, many nissan car owners have the same airbag light issue. This is the most common issue and related to the customer safety. Nissan should recall it. I paid more than $1500 dollar, cannot get my problem fixed. It's unacceptable!

2013 Nissan JUKE
  • Date of Incident: Apr-14, 2024
  • Date complaint filed: Apr-15, 2024
  • Failed components: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

I am asking about the fuel system recall 12v069000 calling to tighten the fuel pressure sensor. Why has the turbo part number been rescinded a few times. Along with the tsb # ntb16-035a calling for the oil line to be replaced whenever turbocharger mx is performed. Since the recall was performed before the tsb and it required the oil one to be removed, could this have caused the faulty turbocharger. I have had one turbo charger replaced in 2019 - 5 years ago and my turbo charger went out again yesterday - 4/14/2024 at 150,000 miles. It threw a code p2263. Clearly this is a defect and beyond costing a lot of money, a safety issue.

2016 Nissan Sentra
  • Date of Incident: Apr-15, 2024
  • Date complaint filed: Apr-15, 2024
  • Failed components: POWER TRAIN

I bought a 2016 Nissan Sentra brand new. It has 120,000 miles and the transmission needs replacement. This is a CVT so no way to check on fluid or anything. I was having pickup issues and brought it to the dealership and they are saying that it needs a new transmission which will cost $5600, which is more than the cars worth. This seems to be a defect on their CVT technology from what I understand, now I need help with resolving this issue since I don’t think it’s anything I have done.
