  • Date of Incident: Apr-11, 2024
  • Date complaint filed: Apr-18, 2024
  • Failed components: VEHICLE SPEED CONTROL and FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: ADAPTIVE CRUISE CONTROL

Climbing a hill the cruise control goes crazy and the rpms suddenly exceed 5000+. Scared the hell out of me and could certainly be dangerous especially on rainy roads. Many owners are reporting this issue on the nissan frontier owners forum - example here: https://www. Clubfrontier. Org/threads/2022-intelligent-cruise-control-fixed. 388239/

  • Date complaint filed: Apr-18, 2024

Total loss of power. No engine codes stored. Car has very little power you have to floor the gas pedal but still run ok no misses or backfires. Will take forever to get to 40 mph. That is revving motor before shifting manual transmission. Taken to nissan dealer once no fix. This has happened about 8 times to this car. Dealer had for one week still could not fix it. Could get run over with this issue…

2020 Nissan Maxima
  • Date of Incident: Mar-28, 2024
  • Date complaint filed: Apr-18, 2024
  • Failed components: FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, LANE DEPARTURE: BLIND SPOT DETECTION, and LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING

When i start driving, sometimes i randomly see key system error and das malfunction. All other warnings such as emergency brake, traction control, blind spot detection light up. Engine rpm meter keeps going to 0 and back and forth (see video in the link below). When this happens, driver assistance features like forward collision warning, blind spot warning and lane departure warning stops working. Sometimes, i cannot turn off the engine by pressing the stop engine button. I have to hold the button for about 5 seconds to stop the engine. Sometimes there's a chasis control system error (attached a picture from last year). This started happening about a year ago and has occurred at least a dozen times so far. I have taken this to different dealerships, and none have been able to identify the issue. I haven't had any accidents on collisions on this vehicle. Please see link below for a video of the behavior. You can see different warnings coming on and off in the video. Https://photos. App. Goo. Gl/g6storjylwcigvv79

The supplemental air bag warning light illuminated. I call dealership and they are willing to schedule an appointment and charge $225 for a diagnostic test. Depending on the issue, the solution/remedy may cost anywhere between $300 and $1000. In my situation, the supplemental air bag warning light remains on after approximately 7 seconds.
