While decelerating on to an exit off-ramp the car started refusing to shift and came to a stop on the side of the expressway. When i tried to pull off the road it said “transmission fluid pressure low”. At this time i am unsure if it is a sensor or the transmission.

While travelling at 80km/h down a slight hill and towing my caravan the vehicle started shuttering vigorously and then the engine just shut down, had to pull up the vehicle using the caravan brakes, had the vehicle towed back to the australian importers as i am located in australia and they have told me it has a crankshaft failure.

I was driving on interstate highway h-3, uphill at 55 mph, when the % charge on the high-voltage battery instantaneously dropped from 18 to 5%. The warning light also came on. I was not using the a/c at the time. Over the next 30 seconds or so, the gauge quickly went from 5... 4... 3... 2.... 1. By dumb luck, as the gauge hit 1%, i hit peak elevation on the mountain pass, and was able to coast in neutral until the freeway starts going downhill. Normally, an 18% charge would have been more than enough to comfortable complete my trip home from where i was on h-3 at the time. A sudden drop in battery % could lead to a cutoff of the motor, which at high-speed on a highway could cause a serious accident. I have subsequently done a battery health test and found the state of health rating to be 90%. There don't appear to be any bad cells in the battery that would explain the sudden drop while driving. My hunch is that this problem is related to the firmware update i received at the nissan dealer to address nhtsa campaign number: 23v494000.

I was driving the truck down the interstate with the cruise set at 70-75 mph and without warning, the truck starts shaking violently and making very loud noises from the wngine and then the engine shuts off and power steering is lost while traveling at highway speeds in traffic. The failure was diagnosed as a crankshaft failure which snapped the crankshaft in the engine. The quote from nissan to replace the engine out of warranty varies between 35k-42k which totals this vehicle for an engine failure that they are at fault for. Nissan knowingly sold vehicles with faulty engines by putting the safety concerns and financial burden for the public to the wayside. This needs to be addressed soon before someone is seriously injured due to nissan’s negligence and recklessness for customer safety.

I have water leak and mold growing in the passenger side of the vehicle for about a month. I took car to rockaway nissan, where i bought the vehicle. The dealer stated that, they found sunroof drain hoses clogged with water and debris causing back flow of water into cabin which they claimed cleared and tested for leak and should remedy the issue. Unfortunately, i am still having the leak even after the work they did. I took my car to get inspected and check for leak again. Now they are saying that they don't know where the water is coming from and they advised me that it is safety hazard to drive this car and advised me to call nissan corporate office directly. I called nissan consumers affairs, and they are saying that it is the dealer that is supposed to fix not them. Am worried that driving this car can create fire and other safety hazard with all this water leaking. Thank you

  • Failed components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM, and POWER TRAIN

Since june of 2022, my car has been in service repair a total of 10 times. Each time my check engine comes on, the diagnostic codes always involve the a/f sensor. This started at 35,000 miles and nissan cannot figure out the issue. There are several bulletins addressing the issue, with the most recent being 2022. The service dealership will no longer work on my car surrounding the issue. As a result of having a sensor issue that cannot be repaired, the car will periodically not respond with acceleration. I have had two very close calls of making a left hand turn in front of oncoming traffic with the gas pedal suddenly not responding no matter how hard it’s pressed. It’s almost as if it goes into neutral. The rpm’s increase and the engine revs, but it just won’t move. After several seconds of remaining motionless, the car then suddenly accelerates to the speed that it should. This issue is not an outlier. I contacted several people that listed their cars for sale, that stated their check engine light is on due to an 02 sensor. They all stated they have tried to get the car repaired with zero success. People then just sell the car and transfer the issue to another person. If it hasn’t already, this issue is going to kill someone. My car stalled in front of two cars coming towards me at 50 mph. Had they not stopped in time, i would have been t-boned on the drivers side. That wouldn’t have ended well. Nissan suggested i sell the car- that is their solution regarding a car that became unrepairable at 35,000 miles. Nissan did send an engineer to the dealership to inspect the car- multiple times. They do not know how to fix the issue.

  • Failed components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, ENGINE, and FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS

Safety is at risk for multiple reasons one because a month upon receiving this brand new vehicle with 40 miles on it i’ve been experiencing malfunctioning problems. I am not able to receive a forward collision warning at times. I’m not sure if these electrical problems also caused my battery to die a few weeks later. In these moments is the start of when the malfunction notification would appear daily. Two— the transmission has been having issues for a long time as well. My drives no longer have a smooth transition when i press the gas it stutters and will not accelerate immediately. The problem has been confirmed by an independent service center. I brought my car new once again so am very disappointed at how much needs to be worked on and do not want to purchase from nissan ever again.

  • Failed components: FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING

The automatic emergency braking does not operate as it was designed to. My vehicle is available for inspection upon request. My and my families safety was put at risk because the aeb failed to engage as it should have. We didn't have an accident, but came very close to it. This has happened before, and every time the vehicle fails to automatically brake. I have complained about and had the vehicle inspected for this issue several times by the dealer, during and after the manufacturers warranty expired. Every time i'm told it's operating as expected.... It is not! I hear warning beeps, often when someone is turning in front of me and i'm not even close to them, but it never attempts to brake. I never heard it beep when getting close enough to a vehicle directly in front of me to make it activate, until recently. After the last time i complained to the dealer about it, it's now acting different. It now beeps when i'm coming up to a vehicle that's directly in front of me, but it still fails to activate the brakes as i believe it should. I've driven other vehicles with this system and the brakes activate well before there's a chance of collision. This issue appeared within the first few months we owned the vehicle, which i purchased brand new from the dealer.
