The head lights barely works at night. It looks as if i don;t have them on. Get a lot of complaints from people. After meeting another car you have to stop at night. I have 2006 nissan sentra never had this problem.

LOW BEAM HEADLIGHTS ARE NOT EFFECTIVE IN SEEING AT NIGHT. KNOWN ISSUES IN Nissan Altima MODELS WHERE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY REFLECTIVE PARTS BECOMES FOGGY AND DISTORTED/MELTS DUE BUILD UP OF HEAT FROM HALOGEN LIGHT BULBS LOCATED IN THE ASSEMBLY. CREATES DANGEROUS ROAD CONDITIONS NOT ONLY FOR THE DRIVER BUT FOR OTHERS AS WELL. NISSAN CONTINUES TO IGNORE THE ONGOING ISSUES AND HAS YET TO ISSUE AN ALTERNATIVE TO CORRECT THE PROBLEM.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2015 Nissan Altima. THE CONTACT STATED THAT WHILE AT A COMPLETE STOP, THE VEHICLE INTERMITTENTLY HESITATED TO ACCELERATE WHILE DEPRESSING THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AN UNKNOWN WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ONCE WHEN THE FAILURE OCCURRED. THE CONTACT ALSO STATED THAT THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL WAS DEPRESSED TO THE FLOORBOARD FOR THE VEHICLE TO RESPOND, CAUSING THE VEHICLE TO ACCELERATE AT AN UNSAFE, HIGH RATE OF SPEED. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN BACK TO THE PLACE OF PURCHASE BUT THE CONTACT WAS THEN REFERRED TO ANOTHER INDEPENDENT MECHANIC FOR ASSISTANCE. THE INDEPENDENT MECHANIC DIAGNOSED THE VEHICLE WITH A DEFECT WITHIN THE TRANSMISSION AND REFERRED THE CONTACT TO AN AUTHORIZED NISSAN DEALER TO ENSURE THAT THE REPAIR WOULD BE COVERED UNDER WARRANTY. THE CONTACT HAD TAKEN THE VEHICLE TO STATE LINE NISSAN (10401 MADISON AVE, KANSAS CITY, MO 64114) WHERE THEY WERE UNABLE TO DIAGNOSE THE VEHICLE AND REFUSED TO SERVICE IT UNDER WARRANTY. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 63,148.

I will see a warning notice in my dashboard while i? M driving on city streets and sometimes on the highway, during clear weather and rainy weather that says? Front end collision undetectable? And my rear collision camera will sometime either have vertical lines or go completely out. This was supposed to have been fixed by musiccity autoplex in nashville, tn in late october of 2019.

I was riding on the highway headed to mississippi with my 2 babies in the car and got ready to go up a small hill and my car slowed down and wouldn't gas up the hill. So i put my hazards on, put my car in park, turned it off and back on, it then proceeded to go up the hill with some hesitation but it moved. I then stopped at an automotive store to get a read out even though my check engine light did not come on. I got a p0776 code with no check engine light at all. That alone is scary! So i got my transmission serviced and thought that would fix it but weeks later i'm having even more issues. The car quit moving in the middle of city traffic lucky enough nobody ran over me and my babies. So i put my car in park, put my flashers on and turned it off and back on enough to coast to the gas station on the other side of the road. I pay too much money for this car and keeping it serviced for this to happen.

Cvt transmission is jerking, stalling, shuddering, and hesitating while driving. Car only has 65k miles. Issue has been happening randomly for about a week. I do not feel comfortable driving in the car anymore because i feel that this malfunction can eventually cause an accident.

REGARDING MY 2015 Nissan Altima...THE HEADLAMPS ARE A SAFETY HAZARD. FAR TOO DIM! I AM CONSTANTLY ASKED BY PASSENGERS IF I HAVE MY LIGHTS ON. TO BE SAFE, I NEED TO USE MY HIGH BEAMS; WHICH IN ITSELF IS NOT SAFE, HOWEVER SINCE ONCOMING DRIVERS RARELY FLASH THEIR HIGH BEAMS BACK AT ME, I ASSUME THEY AREN'T VERY BRIGHT EITHER. COMPLAINTS LIKE THIS FOR THIS CAR ARE ALL OVER THE INTERNET AND I HAVE A HARD TIME BELIEVING IT HASN'T BEEN BROUGHT TO YOUR ATTENTION. THERE NEEDS TO BE A RECALL ON THIS. THIS IS A MAJOR SAFETY ISSUE. THIS ISN'T A MATTER OF CHANGING THE BULBS. I'M NO MECHANIC, BUT IT SEEMS TO BE A PROJECTOR ISSUE CAUSING MANY OWNERS TO REPLACE THE HEADLIGHT ASSEMBLY. SINCE THIS ISN'T A COSMETIC ISSUE, BUT SAFETY, WHY HAS THIS NOT BEEN RECALLED? IT SEEMS TO AFFECT 2013 THROUGH 2015 MODELS THE MOST. SINCE THERE IS NO DATE TO REPORT, AND THIS FORM REQUIRED ONE FOR COMPLETION, I AM PUTTING JANUARY 1ST 2015 AS A DATE.

MY WIFE WAS DRIVING OUR 16 Altima THAT JUST CROSSED 50K MILES ON 3/20/21 WHEN SHE COULD NOT ACCELERATE AFTER STOPPING AT A RED LIGHT. SHE NOTICED THE RPMS WERE MOVING HIGHER BUT THE VEHICLE WOULD NOT MOVE. SHE TURNED OFF THE CAR WHILE IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD AND WAS ABLE TO RESTART IT. AFTER RESTARTING SHE COULD NOT EXCEED 40MPH. WHILE DRIVING THE RMP BOUNCED BETWEEN 1000 AND 3000 AND THE CAR "JERKED" WHILE SHE CONTINUED TO DRIVE HOME. BY THE TIME SHE MADE IT HOME THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT WAS ON. I USED A CODE SCANNER TO SEE WHAT WAS GOING ON AND THE CAR RETURNED THE FOLLOWING CODES (P0776PRESSURE CONTROL SOLENOID B PERFORMANCE OR STUCK OFF; P0841 TRANSMISSION FLUID PRESSURE SENSOR/SWITCH A CIRCUIT RANGE/PERFORMANCE). I TOOK THE VEHICLE TO THE DEALERSHIP AND AFTER THEY DID THEIR DIAGNOSIS I WAS TOLD THE VEHICLE, NEEDED A NEW TRANSMISSION. THIS VEHICLE HAS BEEN WELL MAINTAINED WITH ONLY 50K MILLS AND NOW NEEDS A BRAND NEW TRANSMISSION. THE TECH FROM THE DEALERSHIP TOLD ME THIS A COMMON THING WITH CVT TRANSMISSIONS, ESPECIALLY ON NISSANS; WHICH IS WHY HE RECOMMENDS CUSTOMERS BUY AN EXTENDED WARRANTY. IF THIS IS A KNOWN PROBLEM WITH CVT TRANSMISSIONS WHY HASN'T THERE BEEN A RECALL OR REDESIGN TO FIX THE ISSUE? IT IS VERY DANGEROUS TO NOT HAVE YOUR VEHICLE ACCELERATE WHEN YOU NEED IT TO. HOW MANY ACCIDENTS HAVE BEEN CAUSED OR LIVES LOST BY DEFECTIVE CVTS? IT IS A VERY SCARY THING TO DRIVE A VEHICLE WITH THIS PROBLEM. PLEASE DO SOME ABOUT THIS. WE DO NOT WHAT THIS TO TURN INTO A TAKATA AIRBAG SITUATION. AFTER BEING WARNED ABOUT THIS PROBLEM. IF YOU GOOGLE NISSAN CVT TRANSMISSION PROBLEMS, YOU WILL FIND VIDEOS AND FORUMS WITH COMPLAINT AFTER COMPLAINT REGARDING THIS PROBLEM. PLEASE GET THIS ISSUE FIXED. MY WIFE AND I BOTH HAVE VIDEOS OF WHAT TOOK PLACE.

MY 2015 Nissan Altima'S TRANSMISSION JUST WENT OUT AT A MERE 95,000 MILES. I JUST HAD ALL THE TIRES AND BRAKES REPAIRED READY TO GO FOR INSPECTION AND THE TRANSMISSION RANDOMLY FAILED WHILE MAKING A DELIVERY FOR UBER EATS. THE VEHICLE JUST STARTED STALLING OUT AFTER STOPPING AND GOT WORSE FROM THERE. NO WARNING LIGHTS OR ANYTHING IT JUST WON'T SWITCH GEARS. I TURNED ON MY HAZARD LIGHTS AND WENT HOME AND IT WOULDN'T GO ABOVE 50, I'M LUCKY I EVEN MADE IT HOME. THERE WAS A RECALL FOR THE CVT TRANSMISSION I HAD LOOKED AT 3 YEARS AGO AFTER SOMETHING SIMILAR HAPPENED AND I SAW A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT RELATED TO THIS BUT NOW I AM OUT THE REPAIRS ON THE BRAKES AND TIRES AND STUCK WITHOUT A VEHICLE AND I RELY ON UBER EATS. I THINK I GOT SOLD A LEMON. EVER CAR ME OR EVERYONE I KNOW HAD WENT UNTIL EASILY 200-250K MILES BEFORE THE TRANSMISSION WENT ON OLDER VEHICLES; NOW A "NEWER" VEHICLE GOES OUT UNDER 100K? THAT'S WHY THERE'S A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT OUT FOR THIS AND I REALLY WISH I COULD HAVE GOTTEN IN ON IT BECAUSE NOW I'M OUT THE COST OF REPAIRS, I CAN'T DO MY JOB WITHOUT A CAR, AND I'M STUCK WITH THE BILL FOR A CAR THAT DOESN'T WORK SO I'M JUST OUT THAT MONEY.

The passenger side air bag light is on took it to the dealership they saying they check everything with the wires and sensors and did find anything wrong there so i paid for a test to be done. Was told they erase the code but if the light come back on need to replace the panel so i'm not under why i'm responsible for a defect in a vehicle that is not my fault.

THE HEADLIGHTS IN THE CAR ARE EXTREMELY DIM, CAUSING A MAJOR ISSUE WITH VISIBILITY AT NIGHT. THIS HAS BEEN AN ISSUE SINCE 2016 AND I PURCHASED THE VEHICLE BRAND NEW IN 2015 AND HAVE BEEN THE SOLE OWNER OF THE VEHICLE. I COMPLAINED TO THE DEALER ABOUT THE LACK OF VISIBILITY AT DARKNESS AND THEY REPLACED THE BULBS, WHICH DID NOT CHANGE ANYTHING. I WAS INSTRUCTED BY THE DEALER THAT IT IS A COMMON PROBLEM WITH THE PROJECTOR LENS, NOT THE BULBS. THIS ISSUE HAS BEEN REPORTED IN THE 2013 - 2015 Nissan Altima'S, YET NISSAN HAS NOT RECALLED IT. I FEAR THIS ISSUE WILL CAUSE A TERRIBLE ACCIDENT.

TL* THE CONTACT WAS AN ADMINISTRATOR FOR THE CHILD DEATH REVIEW FOR LA COUNTY. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE OWNER OF A 2016 Nissan Altima, EXITED THE VEHICLE WITH THE HEATER ACTIVATED AND LEFT HER 2-YEAR-OLD CHILD IN A CAR SEAT LOCATED IN THE REAR PASSENGER SIDE OF THE VEHICLE FOR OVER 3 HOURS UNATTENDED. THE CAR SEAT INFORMATION WAS NOT AVAILABLE. THE CHILD WAS PRONOUNCED DECEASED DUE TO A HEAT STROKE. THE TEMPERATURE IN THE VEHICLE EXCEEDED 117 DEGREES FAHRENHEIT AND THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT TO MAKE THE DRIVER AWARE THAT THE VEHICLE COULD REACH FATAL HEATER TEMPERATURES OR THAT THE INTERIOR OF THE VEHICLE WAS REACHING HIGH LEVELS OF HEAT TEMPERATURES. THE CONTACT WAS CONCERNED THAT THERE WAS NO SAFETY MECHANISM TO AVOID THE VEHICLE REACHING INTERIOR HIGH-TEMPERATURE LEVELS. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT INFORMED OF THE INCIDENT.
