Vehicle stalls in the middle of traffic it looses power with n warning at all. I took to the vehicle to the nissan dealership on 11/7/2020 and they could not duplicate what happen and stated they placed it on the computer with no codes showing. On the way home 11/12/20 as i was entering traffic on highway 85 i lost power again i was almost hit by two vehicles. I press the accelerator 3 times before it took off very fast. I will be calling the dealership again today

When driving to work my sunroof exploded on interstate scaring me. It was a very loud noise. This is a safety issue for all nissan owners. When bringing the vehicle in they stated that they were not responsible for the sunroof explosion. When going on line this looks like is been ongoing for awhile.

THE CONTACT RECEIVED NOTIFICATION OF NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 19V807000 (SERVICE BRAKES, HYDRAULIC) HOWEVER, THE PART TO DO THE RECALL REPAIR WAS NOT YET AVAILABLE. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE MANUFACTURER EXCEEDED A REASONABLE AMOUNT OF TIME FOR THE RECALL REPAIR. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TEDDY NISSAN (3660 BOSTON RD, BRONX, NY 10469, (866) 980-6251) WHERE THE TECHNICIAN INFORMED THE CONTACT THAT PARTS WERE ON BACK ORDER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE MANUFACTURER WAS MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE HOWEVER NO FURTHER ASSISTANCE WAS PROVIDED. PARTS DISTRIBUTION DISCONNECT. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 11,000.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 Nissan Maxima. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE COSMETIC REAR FENDER AND WINDSHIELD PLASTIC MOLDING LOOSENED AND EXPANDED TO THE REAR WINDSHIELD. THE REAR DRIVER?S SIDE DOOR AND PASSENGER?S SIDE FRONT DOOR WERE ALSO LOOSENED. THE CONTACT BECAME AWARE OF THE FAILURE WHILE DRIVING. THE CONTACT HEARD AN ABNORMAL NOISE WHILE DRIVING AND LOCATED THE POINT OF FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO AN UNKNOWN DEALER FOR INSPECTION. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE REPLACEMENT PART WOULD NOT FIT ON THE VEHICLE BECAUSE THE MOLDING PART WAS MODIFIED. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT SOME DRILLING WAS NECESSARY TO INSTALL THE MOLDING ON THE VEHICLE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND DECLINED TO PROVIDE ASSISTANCE STATING THAT THE VEHICLE WAS OUT OF WARRANTY. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 41,000.

The left and right rear fender moulding is falling off of my vehicle. This is a trim piece that connects the rear fender and the roof. This piece is about 26" long. The plastic clips that hold it on are failing and the left piece has fallen off while driving, and the right piece is loose and failing. This is a hazard and many other owners have had the same experience.

I was driving this morning on the way to work traveling on the highway around 5:43 am; and i heard a loud bang sounding like a shotgun. It scared me to death as i swerved and heard wind noise as if my windows were down. And also could hear glass falling onto my sunroof shade. I found a safe place to pull over and see what the problem was and whoa and behold my sunroof has shattered. If the shade was open then the shattered glass could have falen on me possibly getting into my eyes and causing an accident.

WHEN CAR Maxima IS SITTING STILL IN IDLE IT LEAKS OUT A CLEAR FLUID. THE FLUID HAS NO COLOR AND NO SMELL.THIS HAPPENS WHEN THE VEHICLE IS STATIONARY AND IN IDLE.

Upon pushing the accelerator pedal, the car does not accelerate at all. I will push the accelerator all the way down to the floor and nothing will happen. I have to hit the pedal 2-4 times to get the car to accelerate. This occurs after being stopped at a stop light or intersection. The same has just happened with my wife's 2018 nissan rogue. She was at an intersection. My car this has been happening on and off for 2 months. My wife's car, her first incident happened today. Mine happened 2x today. We both purchased are cars from the same nissan dealership in clinton, nc.

While driving my son and i to the store the car stopped accelerating on a major highway with cars coming. We we almost hit by a truck. When i applied the accelerator the car stayed on 0 mph but the rpm moved. After about 5 seconds the car began accelerating again. It also made a loud whining noise afterward. The nissan dealer said the cvt transmission needs to be replaced. The car just hit 80,000 miles.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2017 Nissan Maxima. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE AIR BAGS WARNING LIGHT WAS ILLUMINATED. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO LYNCHBURG NISSAN (18588 FOREST RD, FOREST, VA 24551, (434) 216-3326) AND THE MECHANIC RESET THE AIR BAGS WARNING LIGHT HOWEVER, THE FAILURE PERSISTED. THE CONTACT RETURNED THE VEHICLE TO THE SAME DEALER WHO STATED THAT THE OCS UNIT AND SENSOR NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE CONTACT CONFIRMED THAT THEIR VEHICLE WAS NOT INCLUDED IN NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 16V244000 (AIR BAGS). THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT MADE AWARE OF THE FAILURE. THE APPROXIMATE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 38,400. THE VIN WAS NOT INCLUDED.

1) the front radar obstruction warning comes on randomly when there is no obstruction while vehicle is in motion. 2) driver side door lock stops working for days (this is the 5th time and i have reported it to orr nissan in searcy,ar) started messing up while there was still warranty but they couldn't find anything wrong due to it not messing up when they could get it in to look at. The key fob, outside button, and inside button works all other door locks except driver door- have to use the key to unlock/lock driver door. Can hear the part inside the door reacting in a slow manner prior to it not working. Very aggravating when has been reported many, many times and not being fixed due to it not messing up at appointments. Tried to get an appointment today while it's messing up but was told it would be next week before it can be looked at (probably won't be messed up then! )

The tire maintenance notification stays on after the tires have been properly rotated by a tire shop and reset on dashboard and it pulls to the right been doing this complaint made to dealership no response and now received notification that there was a safety recall on my car. It does it while driving the pulling to the right and the tire maintenance stays on. *tr

Panoramic sunroof exploded while driving on interstate highway @ 70mph on hot sunny humid day. After research it appears that this is a known issue for nissan sunroofs with numerous claims resulting in a class action lawsuit in calfornia. Nissan has responded to my complaint that they aren't liable even though the vehicle is under nissan warranty with the exclusion that glass is not covered unless a known product defect is determined. MY Maxima IS ONLY 4 YEARS OLD AND IT STARTED JUMPING AND HESITATING WHILE DRIVING. THE NISSAN REPAIR SHOP SAID THAT MY TRANSMISSION IS BAD AND IT LOOKS LIKE 'GLITTER' INSIDE.THEY HAVE TO REPLACE IT. APPARENTLY NISSAN HAS A CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT AGAINST THEM BECAUSE OF THESE CVT TRANSMISSIONS. THEY ARE NOT ACKNOWLEDGING THE PROBLEM WITH THE MAXIMAS BECAUSE THEY SAID IT IS NOT HAPPENING AS OFTEN AS IN THE SMALLER CARS. MY CAR IS A LITTLE BIT OUT OF WARRANTY SO THEY STILL MADE ME PAY A PORTION OF THE TRANSMISSION EVEN THOUGH THEY KNEW IT WOULD BREAK. ITS NOT RIGHT THEY SHOULD BE COVERING A 4 YEAR OLD CARS TRANSMISSION GOING BAD IN FULL WHEN THEY KNOW ABOUT THE PROBLEMS. *TR

Car idling, jerking and hesitating at 30mph. When accelerating it does not. The car is going but from a slow speed going to a higher mph, it will stay stuck and if you floor it, it just won? T move. This is dangerous. It? S happened on the freeway three times. Now the brake fluid is leaking everywhere. This is a second issue. Transmission. Engine. Cvt, ecm issue and mass air flow sensor and pvc sensor must not be on correctly. I have videos. The service dept has seen them but they can? T seem to duplicate the issue. *tr
