We were driving on a highway at 70 mph when the hood opened up and hit the windshield. The safety latch did not engage. It bent up the hood, cracked the windshield and dented the roof. The hood was down and latched when we left. I know nissan had recalls for 2013 and 14. I called nissan but have not had a response as of this writting

All our fuel injectors had to be replaced for a total of $2,132. This should not have happened on a 3 yr old car! We were driving recently and the check engine light went on and we smelled a lot of gas.

MY CAR WAS BOUGHT BRAND NEW, NO ACCIDENTS, AND ONLY HAS LESS THAN 53 MILES TO BE A 2016 Pathfinder. SO TELL ME WHY THE CHEAP MOTOR FAN THAT NISSAN PUT IT IN STARED MAKING A CLANG NOISE EVERYTHING I WOULD TURN THE AIR OR HEATER ON. LIKE NISSAN WHAT IS THIS. WITH ALL THIS COMPLAINS ABOUT THE SAME ITEM, YOU GUYS SHOULD PUT A RECALL ONTHIS ITEM. IT?S ASHAMED SO FAR BAD EXPERIENCE WITH TO VEHICLES FROM YOU GUYS. EVEN ON THE NISSAN TITAN THAT WE BOUGHT BRAND NEW AT 3 MONTHS SOMETHING WAS WRONG WITH THE ENGINE AND GAS TANK AND YOU GUYS DID NOT WANT TO TAKE RESPONSIBILITY FOR THE VEHICLE. KNOWING THAT YOU GUYS COULD NOT EVEN DETERMINE WHY THE TRUCK WAS NOT WORKING. YOU GUYS EVEN BROUGHT IN AN EXPERT FROM THE NISSAN FACTORY AND STILL DID NOT FIND WHY IT WAS NOT WORKING. KNOWING WHAT WAS HAPPENING YOU GUYS WOULD NOT EVEN TRADE IN THE TRUCK FOR ANOTHER ONE. WE ENDED UP FIGHTING WITH NISSAN AND RETURNED THE TRUCK BACK. TO TOP THAT OFF I RECEIVED A BILL FOR HALF THE TRUCK PRICE. I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND NISSAN.

Very loud plastic rattle when climate control is turned on and plastic fan at the engine side of the radiator starts spinning.

Good day. Since the 1st day of purchasing this vehicle i was experiencing issues with transmission like hesitation, jerking / shuddering / shaking and abnormal whining noise while driving at low speeds. I was not aware about nissan's major cvt issues until recently. Vehicle's braking is affected because of this abnormal transmission's operation as the vehicle does not immediately stop as needed or requested instead often slipping occurs when downshifting to lower gears. Nissan service center was visited once about a year ago or less. I was told that the software for transmission was somehow missing on the vehicle, without explaining how can a vehicle be manufactured without transmission software. After installing the software, the dealership was unable to pin point what is the problem with my vehicle. I was charged about $140 without being provided a clear diagnose, but was told that most likely the car needs a new transmission. Control valve body was replaced since then, however vehicle drives the same exact way. Please, advise how can get assistance from.

WHENEVER I?M DRIVING THE CAR BETWEEN 30-40 MPH THEN RELEASING THE GAS PEDAL, THE ENGINER MAKING A THUD AND THEN CREATE A GRINDING NOISE. THE NOISE WILL GO AWAY WHEN GAS PEDEL IS PRESSED OR THE BRAKE IS APPLIED. I HAD BEEN CONTACTING LOCAL DEALER TO FIX THIS BUT THEY WAS HELPLESS AND SAYING THIS IS NORMAL. THE PROBLEM IS CONCERNING ME BECAUSE I?M PLANNING TO TOW MY NEW TRAVEL TRAILER WITH THIS Pathfinder AND WHOS KNOW WHAT HAPPEND WITH THIS ENGINE WHEN I TOW MY TRAILER ON FREEWAY. I WANT NISSAN TO EXPLAIN WHAT?S HAPPENED TO THE CAR AND WHAT IS THE CAUSE. THE ANWSER, ?IT?S TOTALLY NORMAL? IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I?VE DRIVING LOTS OF DIFF CAR LIKE HONDA, TOYOTA, FORD, MURANO, ETC. Was in accident moving about 10 miles per hour and slowing as approaching light on a local city street. Car trued to pass illegally on left. I moved right to avoid and hit car in front of me at very slow speed. No visible damage to frint end. Driver airbag opened in a partially defkated manner. Should not even have opened. Vehicle was entering the drive way when the brake peddle went to the floor and the vehicle accelerated. The vehicle went over a patio and struck an above ground pool. The pool was destroyed. The vehicle stopped after hitting the pool and came to rest with the front tires off the wall of the patio. The front right of the vehicle was resting on the uni-body frame just behind the front tires.

TL* THE CONTACT OWNS A 2019 Nissan Pathfinder. THE CONTACT STATED THAT AT START-UP THE CHECK ENGINE WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED ON THE INSTRUMENT PANEL. THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO PINNACLE NISSAN (7601 E FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT BLVD, SCOTTSDALE, AZ 85260) WHERE THE MECHANIC INFORMED HIM THAT HE COULD SMELL FUEL COMING FROM THE VEHICLE AND THAT THE ISSUE WAS DUE TO A LOOSE GAS CAP. UPON RETURN OF THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT CONTINUED TO SMELL A FUEL ODOR COMING FROM THE VEHICLE AND DECIDED TO BUY A NEW GAS CAP. THE CONTACT THEN STATED THAT WHILE HIS WIFE WAS DRIVING ON THE HIGHWAY AT AN UNKNOWN SPEED, HIS WIFE AND THE OTHER OCCUPANTS IN THE VEHICLE ALL RECEIVED HEADACHES DUE TO THE STRONG FUEL ODOR COMING FROM THE VEHICLE. A FEW DAYS LATER THE CONTACT TOOK THE VEHICLE TO FLAGSTAFF NISSAN (4960 E MARKETPLACE DR, FLAGSTAFF, AZ 86004) WHERE HE WAS INFORMED THAT FUEL WAS LEAKING FROM THE FUEL TANK. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE FUEL TANK, THE FUEL O RING, AND OTHER PARTS IN AND AROUND THE GAS TANK NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE VEHICLE REMAINED IN THE POSSESSION OF THE DEALER. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE AND PROVIDED A CASE NUMBER. THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT HE WOULD RECEIVE A CALL BACK AND HAD YET TO HEAR FROM THE MANUFACTURER. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 15,000.

THE VEHICLE WAS RESTARTED AND DRIVEN TO THE RESIDENCE HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO START THE NEXT MORNING. DUE TO THE FAILURE, THE CONTACT HAD THE VEHICLE TOWED TO ORR NISSAN OF WICHITA (10625 E. KELLOGG DR, WICHITA, KS 67207) WHERE THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE BATTERY NEEDED TO BE REPLACED. THE BATTERY WAS REPLACED HOWEVER, WHILE DRIVING 40 MPH, THE FAILURE RECURRED. THE VEHICLE WAS TOWED BACK TO THE DEALER AND THE CONTACT WAS INFORMED THAT THE ALTERNATOR WAS DEFECTIVE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS NOT NOTIFIED OF THE FAILURE. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS UNKNOWN. THE VIN WAS NOT AVAILABLE.

OCTOBER 2019, I NOTICED A LOUD CLANKING NOISE ON OUR 2017 Nissan Pathfinder. I DO NOT LIVE NEAR DEALERSHIP, SO WE CALLED AND DESCRIBED SYMPTOMS. THE SERVICER REPORTED THAT WHILE HE COULDN?T DIAGNOSE WITHOUT SEEING THE VEHICLE, GUESSED OUR RADIATOR FAN NEEDED REPLACED DUE TO BEING A COMMON PROBLEM, NOT UNDER WARRANTY AT APPROXIMATELY 65K ($1800 EST.) COOLING FAN REPLACED BY LOCAL MECHANIC FOR APPROXIMATELY $600 WITH AN AFTERMARKET PART. THIS FAN IS IMPERATIVE IN KEEPING THE TEMPERATURE REGULATED AND CAN CAUSE FURTHER DAMAGE AND SAFETY CONCERNS. WHICH LEADS ME TO MY NEXT COMPLAINT. SUMMER 2020. I TAKE MY PATHFINDER TO MY MECHANIC (BRAKES, TIRES, OIL CHANGE). UPON PICK-UP, HE INFORMS OF GRITTY OIL THAT HE HAS NEVER NOTED IN PREVIOUS OIL CHANGES AND RECOMMENDS I CHANGE IT AGAIN, BEFORE MY ROUTINE 3-5K. I TAKE IT BACK A MONTH LATER, AUGUST 2020 FOR INSPECTION, OILED CHANGED AGAIN. WITHIN THE NEXT FEW WEEKS MY CHECK ENGINE LIGHT TURNS ON. THE CODE IS READING A FUEL PRESSURE TEMP SENSOR. MECHANIC IS UNABLE TO LOCATE PART, EVEN FROM DEALERSHIP. I BEGIN HAVING ISSUES WITH ENGINE SURGING WHILE DRIVING/IDLING, RATTLING ENGINE, STALLING AT LIGHTS, ISSUES STARTING INCLUDING HESITANCY FOLLOWED BY REVVING. OVER TWO WEEKS, I WAS EXPERIENCING INTERMITTENT FLASHING INDICATOR LIGHTS. NO MECHANIC, AUTO PARTS WAS ABLE TO FIND A CODE. I CALLED MY CLOSEST DEALERSHIP THE LAST WEEK OF AUGUST AND RECEIVED AN APPOINTMENT FOR 9/14, 3 WEEKS AWAY. I GREW CONCERNED WITH MY FAMILIES SAFETY EACH DRIVE AND BEGAN REACHING OUT TO OTHER DEALERS (2+ HRS AWAY). MY PATHFINDER WAS TAKEN TO A DEALER 9/4/20. DIAGNOSED WITH TIMING CHAIN, GUIDE, TENSIONER ISSUES. ESTIMATE $3100. IT HAS BEEN THERE 2 WEEKS TODAY AND THEY ARE STILL UNABLE TO GET PARTS NEEDED FOR REPAIR AND ARE UNABLE TO DETERMINE WHEN THIS WILL HAPPEN. MY FAMILIES ONLY VEHICLE, LESS THAN 3 YEARS OLD, 75,000 MILES. NISSAN REFUSES TO HELP AT ALL.

I bought this vehicle in 2018 since then i? Ve had this vehicle in the shop multiple times. My differential was replaced a few months after i bought the vehicle along with my fan blades. This is again an issue for my car this just having gotten it back because i had to do a complete engine replacement in my now only 4 year old car. My car was out of warranty from nissan based on any of the mileage. I took it to one dealership who claimed that i had metal in my oil said nothing of smudge in the oil mind you i had just had my oil changed again not told anything. I was driving home from work in march 2020 when my low oil pressure light kicked on which didn? T make sense as i had just had an oil change a few weeks prior and kept up on my oil changes. The engine that is in my vehicle is apparently nissans newest engine and a very expensive one at that. I requested an exception from nissan in regards to the engine so i did as they said and took it to another dealership this time the nissan dealership. They claimed my engine was a total loss and it was due to lack of maintenance there was no way this was the case in my situation. Nissan informed me that maybe the previous own r had done it and basically there was nothing that could be done. So i got online and started looking around to find that other people had reported the same thing. My vehicle is primarily all highway driving i paid over 7k for a new engine to be put in my car from a local shop. The engine had to be taken out twice because the inside pistons were sticking this was on the new engines. Once my engine was finally installed and my 02 sensors replaced as well a week later my car was throwing a misfire for low oil pressure light. This clearly is a fault with nissans design of this engine. I have spent thousands on a newer vehicle with no help from nissan and no fault of my own.
