  • Failed components: SERVICE BRAKES, FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING, and UNKNOWN OR OTHER

Hello: we bought the vehicle in 2021. After a few months, we noticed that the vehicle braked itself: meaning it auto-braked while driving at 25mph on the road. We took the vehicle to the dealer for repair. They said, "the vehicle was absolutely fine and perhaps something in the way of the vehicle triggered braking". I, the driver replied, i didn't have any vehicles either in front of or behind me. And besides, i understand the "safety features" and functionalities. Yet, they gave me the vehicle without repair. After a few months, same thing happened: the vehicle auto-braked or braked itself without me the driver putting my foot on the brakes. This time i also called the company's consumer affairs who said they'd help. The consumer affairs worked with the dealer. The dealer now said, "yes the vehicle indeed had auto-braking issues and it could be fixed, and that they'll fix it". So, i, now assured that the vehicle was a 100% fine when it came to auto-braking had been driving the vehicle until today april 16th, 2024, when while driving out on the city in 25mph the vehicle auto-braked again! I emailed the dealer and also called the company's consumer affairs (at their headquarters) to keep them in the loop today, and expect to hear back from them. In this instance, (3rd in 2-3 years), i'm not sure whether the dealer will brush aside the problem as "nothing" as in the first instance, or purport to "fix the issue" without actually fixing it, as in the second instance. At any rate, it came down to a "matter of principle": meaning since i'm not sure if the vehicle's intrinsic defect will be "resolved completely ever", i have to report it to "governing authorities". I hope you will take it from here and do the needful. Thank you in advance for your support.

I am trying to get an appointment at the nissan service in clarksville, md about the safety concern. They haven't returned to me after i left numerous messages via text and their office answer machines. My truck acts very oddly at around 40 mph which is very hazard and i did send the video link but they rather not view it until i get an appointment. I did reach the nissan consumer affairs that i have waited long enough but they told me to continue to contact the service and they are aware of it due to the log. I did send the video to both of them but they couldn't view it at their work computer. The truck drifted on the ramp around 40 mph as i captured it. See the video below, at :20, i kept on the gas for around mph, the rpm and mph dropped and the slippery warning light and the brake system was triggered. I felt like my truck was pulled back when that happened. That is a bit dangerous to drive. I dont see any damages under my truck. Can you escalate the issue to the nissan and the local service that they should take a look at and take care of it? The truck has plenty of problems and it is only two years old. My old nissan car almost had no issues and ran hundreds of thousands miles. Https://www. Youtube. Com/watch? V=mzd6-crw8t4 --

  • Failed components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM

Although i have a brand new battery, there is a short in the system that causes it to drain entirely when turned off. At least twice a month, the battery will die because it won't hold a charge when not operating. This is especially challenging when it is very warm in the summer. Once the battery is jumped, i have to run the vehicle for 30 minutes to recharge and hope it is full. I've been told it's a known defect but not yet a recall, but i can cite many examples of how this creates a safety issue when i am unable to jump it repeatedly with my portable jumper. As it is an electrical issue, this needs to be addressed and cited as a recall to stop the insanity!

  • Failed components: AIR BAGS

I purchased 2012 nissan murano in jul 2012. Recently the airbag light is on and keeps flashing when start the car. It happened since 6 months ago. I sent my car to the local nissan dealer, they charged me $149 diagnostic fee + $1500 to replace the airbag diag unit under the center console. After the replacement, the airbag light is still on and flashing. My car cannot pass the annual inspection because of the airbag light. It's a big safety concern. The dealer told me i need to get the passenger seat bottom sensor replaced, the pars has been discontinued. I am very surprised the airbag is related safety issue, why nissan discontinued the parts? And i google this issue, many nissan car owners have the same airbag light issue. This is the most common issue and related to the customer safety. Nissan should recall it. I paid more than $1500 dollar, cannot get my problem fixed. It's unacceptable!

  • Failed components: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM

I am asking about the fuel system recall 12v069000 calling to tighten the fuel pressure sensor. Why has the turbo part number been rescinded a few times. Along with the tsb # ntb16-035a calling for the oil line to be replaced whenever turbocharger mx is performed. Since the recall was performed before the tsb and it required the oil one to be removed, could this have caused the faulty turbocharger. I have had one turbo charger replaced in 2019 - 5 years ago and my turbo charger went out again yesterday - 4/14/2024 at 150,000 miles. It threw a code p2263. Clearly this is a defect and beyond costing a lot of money, a safety issue.

The contact owns a 2022 Nissan Sentra. The contact stated that on several occasions while driving at various speeds, the steering wheel was not aligned. Additionally, while making left or right turns, the contact stated that she observed a loud popping noise coming from the front right of the vehicle. Additionally, the contact stated that while driving 60 MPH or faster, the vehicle began vibrating. The vehicle was taken to a dealer where it was diagnosed that the vehicle needed an alignment and the rack and pinion needed to be replaced. The vehicle was repaired but the failure persisted. The vehicle was taken to another dealer where the vehicle needed an alignment, and the motor mounts and two unspecified tires needed to be rotated. The vehicle was repaired. I bought a 2016 Nissan Sentra brand new. It has 120,000 miles and the transmission needs replacement. This is a CVT so no way to check on fluid or anything. I was having pickup issues and brought it to the dealership and they are saying that it needs a new transmission which will cost $5600, which is more than the cars worth. This seems to be a defect on their CVT technology from what I understand, now I need help with resolving this issue since I don’t think it’s anything I have done.
