The abs pump motor control circuit has an electrical failure. The truck's safety is at risk of incident without the help of the abs system. The problem is persistent as the abs warning lamp and service electronic brake system message pops up every time the brake is applied. The dealership recommends the part be replaced.
The contact owns a 2018 ram 2500. Prior to the contact owning the vehicle, the vehicle was serviced under nhtsa campaign number: 19v021000(steering). The remedy for the recall called for the dealer to check the steering linkage jam nut tightness, replacing the drag link assembly or welding the nut to the adjuster sleeve. The contact recently took the vehicle to an independent mechanic for a wheel alignment and was informed that the alignment could not be performed due to the welding of the drag link. The contact was informed that the drag link would have to be cut in order to perform the wheel alignment. The vehicle was then taken to a dealer where they recommended that the drag link be replaced; however, the manufacturer refused to cover the cost of the repair. The vehicle had yet to be repaired. The failure mileage was approximately 108,000.
The vehicle failed pa state inspection for corroded frame where the front fuel tank strap broke free from a slot into the frame. Who knows when it popped free. There is now only one rear strap holding the gas tank in up under the vehicle. This could have resulted in a full gas tank just dropping right out of the vehicle. Contacted ram dealer where i got the truck from. First they said ok, we will fix it and ordered the parts. Will call when these are in and ready to be installed. Called back 2 weeks or so later and they denied any recall notice, issue or ordering any parts. Huge safety flaw that could result in fatal accident either by having the fuel tank fall out of the vehicle or being in an accident and it falling out bursting into flames.

Vehicle has 23,400 miles. When filling fuel tank, pump shuts off quickly without filling tank and spills gas back out. Dealer say valve in tank is problem and need to replace tank at cost of $3k. No check engine warning lights on dash.
The contact owns a 2016 ram 1500. The contact discovered the nhtsa campaign number: 19v757000 (engine and engine cooling) and the contact was informed that the recall was repaired, however, the failure recurred. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 70 mph the vehicle lost acceleration and there was smoke coming from the engine. The low oil pressure and service throttle control warning lights illuminated. The contact pulled the vehicle to the side of the road and when the hood was lifted the engine was on fire. The contact extinguished the fire with a fire extinguisher at the scene. No fire department was contacted. No police report was filed. No injuries were sustained. The vehicle was towed to the contact's residence. The contact was a certified mechanic and diagnosed the vehicle with erg failure and a melted hole through the intake manifold. The manufacturer was made aware of the failure. The failure mileage was approximately 156,000.
My brakes went out in november 2020 with a bad hydraulic brake control and hydraulic control unit. The parts were replaced and everything was fine until december 2023. The same alarm came up that the truck brakes had failed. I took the truck back to the dealer who fixed it. They notified me that there is a known problem with these parts and there are no parts available. They ordered the parts for me, it is now april 22, 2024, and they still say there are no parts available. I also had contacted another dealer who stated the same situation, there are no parts available, and that the brake issues are an ongoing problem that dodge is not taking care of. My truck is unsafe, there are tens of thousands of these trucks that are unsafe. The manufacturer should be made to correct the problems and fix the trucks.
Passenger exhaust manifold is leaking fumes into the cab. The leak started in january of 2024 as a slight ticking and has become worse. The truck has 47k miles.
Vehicle is repeatedly setting c2200-49 code for a failed abs module. The abs and brake lights are being set. This is a known with this era of ram pick up trucks.
I have a total loss of abs, traction control, and cruise control.
