Vehicle is repeatedly setting c2200-49 code for a failed abs module. The abs and brake lights are being set. This is a known with this era of ram pick up trucks.
I have a total loss of abs, traction control, and cruise control.
I stopped at a stop sign. When i began to accelerate, the engine stopped leaving me stranded in the middle of the road. Perpendicular to on coming traffic to my left. Luckily it was 530 in the morning and traffic was very light. I was able to get the truck restarted after about 30 seconds and continued to work. No check engine light or any warning lights came on at that time. When leaving work, the check engine light came on and i drove it straight to dealership because it is to dangerous to drive safely. This is the only time this has happened and the truck is in the shop and was told they cannot recreate the problem. There was no check engine lights prior to incident. This could have been deadly to me or any on coming traffic as they could have ran into the drivers side of my truck.
The antilock braking system (abs) warning light illuminated in approx december 2023, and i took it to the dealership. The dealership service center confirmed that the abs module is bad, and requires replacement. The component is still under warranty, so the dealership ordered the module. The dealership stated in december that the component is "on backorder," but should be available by march 2024. It is now april 2024 and i just checked with both the dealership and ram headquarters, and still no eta on the part (still on "backorder"). This is the braking system! If ram wanted to do anything about it they could (take parts of a new vehicle, pay more to have one built, etc), but they're doing nothing. Again, this isn't ac or the radio... It's brakes, a safety issue. Please help. Thank you.
The known issue that ram refuses to is plaguing my truck. Abs and traction control lights come on. This shuts off the cruise control as well as makes braking difficult. It is very dangerous. This is a ticking time bomb. Vehicle has under 50k miles on it. 2017 and 2018 have been known to have faulty ecu module and hcu. Loss of brakes momentarily occurred on [xxx]. While driving, the "service electronic brakes " and traction control light will come on periodically, then go away. The issue is random and not consistent or easy to predict. If the cruise control is active, the cruise control will disengage and the truck will start to slow down. The brakes seem to work the same even if the light is on or off.

Steering rack and pinion - began malfunctioning (noise, and vibration when turning) at less than 10,000 miles. I visited ram dealer several times between 10,000 - 34,000 miles and they stated they could not replicate the issue. I drove the vehicle with their technical and they agreed there was an issue. Finally they replaced the steering system when it had about 34,000 miles. This is a potential safety issue. Drive selector switch - i have had 3 selector switches (move from park to drive, reverse, etc. ) malfunction and require replace (started in side of standard warranty), they appear to be replacing faulty part with same part. Most recent repair in april 2024 only lasted about 150 miles before the device went bad again. This is a potential safety issue. Radio - my 12" radio has been replaced 3 times. At times it impacts the controls of the vehicle features, heating, air-conditioning, etc. Starting at less than 10,000 miles inside normal warranty. Water leak - i have a rear cabin water leak... Mold and mildew in car (39,000 miles). The dealer did an initial inspection and said it had a know issue... Back window and/or brake light leaks and requires further evaluation. This is a health issue - due to mold and mildew.
Out of nowhere the power steering has gone out. Trying to start back up and now power steering light is on.
