This is the 3rd time a control arm on the car has cracked. I see tons of people online complaining about the same issue with the fault aluminum control arms. I have no damage and no rust and it just cracked on its on as i was backing out of a parking spot. I could have been seriously injured or my daughter had this happened on the highway. My dad is an issurance adjuster for 30 years and has never heard of any cars control arms cracking on their own. Please help as this is a huge safety issue and it seems tesla has been putting the blame on the drivers. There was a grinding noise in reverse and the wheel was tilted inward. Multiple control arms have cracked in the car. A car that has no damage or accidents. This car is less than 10 years old and this doesn't happen with any other cars. It's a fault control arm part made out of cheap aluminum.

Tesla has failed to provide the software updates to fix the recalls on my and all other mcu1 cars that have fsd paid for. This is because tesla has not delivered sent fsd to these cars, and hopes owners will pay $2,000 to upgrade to mcu2. Tesla has lied that all cars with fsd paid for will be upgraded to the required hardware necessary to use fsd. This has now became a safety issue as recalls are not being addressed!! Tesla states vehicles should be running software version 2023. 44. 30 or later... We are stuck at 2022. 8. 10!

I received a message on the screen saying there was a problem with the ocs and that it needed to be serviced immediately. I take it to tesla service and they tell me they will need to do the following: 1. Replace module - ocs filter 2. Retrofit sbr in ocs equipped front passenger seat - remove and replace 3. Replace first row seat harness 4. Replace first row - seat belt reminder sensor box clip 5. Replace first rowoccupancy sensor 6. Replace first rowharness assembly -occupantclassification system - righthand 7. Replace front passengerairbag and update vehicleconfiguration - remove and replace to have all of this done, i paid $1,850. Nothing is covered under warranty. I have 64,000 miles on my car. It has never been in a wreck and i have taken good care of it. From what i understand, this is a common problem with tesla’s.

Lack of blinker stalk: after driving this vehicle since september 2022, buttons in place of a blinker stalk are dangerous. In real driving conditions, there are many times i have to take my eyes off the road to look at the wheel and make sure i'm pressing the correct blinker button. Often times when i think my fingers are in the right position, i'd like to shift right but wind up pressing the left blinker button and vice versa. I always thought it was me not being aware until i saw other tesla drivers do the same. Lack of center horn: for the model s, the center horn is not active. Instead you need to press a tiny button to activate the horn. This is also very dangerous since you have a split second to alert other drivers but you have to take your eyes off the road to activate the horn. Tesla's solution to "mash" the right controls on the wheel will activate the horn is terrible. I usually wind up activating the wipers or voice recognition when i follow that suggestion. Rear passenger door emergency release: the location of the rear door emergency release is located behind a small cutout of the rug behind your legs. In case of emergency, time is wasted having to explain to find the cut out, open the cut out, look for a wire and pull. No trunk emergency release: that's right... There is no interior trunk release. If you get stuck in the trunk, you cannot release/open it from the inside. You will have to somehow fold down the rear seats and crawl into the back seats to exit. I'd be glad to speak with someone in more details or provide specific pictures upon request.

2023 Tesla MODEL Y
  • Date of Incident: Mar-13, 2024
  • Date complaint filed: Mar-26, 2024
  • Failed components: FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING

I rear ended to another car when i blacked out for a few seconds in the city driving around 20 miles an hour. The aeb, based on tesla manual and instructions should have kicked in, but it never did. After the accident, a friend of mine told me about aeb function and the fact that it works in those type of conditions, i tested the car in my driveway (i have a pretty long driveway to do this). Aeb did not kick in until i turned off the function and i turned on the function again. Then, it kicked in immediately, and on the screen "a" showed, which means aeb kicked in. That was the first time aeb worked and that sign appeared on the screen. Later in the day, when i tested the car again under the exact same conditions,, aeb stopped functioning again like the way it has been since i bought the car. I read all the information/instructions regarding aeb. I understand that in certain conditions like, if the driver is accelerating or putting pressure on brake pedal or steering wheel, aeb does not kick in. I talked to another tesla owner, he said his does not kick in either unless the car is on auto cruise or autopilot. Mine is the same. This is definitely malfunction. The issue is that the car, on the screen shows that aeb is always turned on, but it never kicks in and the car does not give any error regarding this issue. Again, i tested it after turning off and on aeb function, and i now know the difference. Under the same conditions of that testing, the aeb does not function at all. The accident i had was 100% preventable if aeb worked properly. Tesla service center has been dismissive. They send me snippets from the tesla manual, which i already have and read many times. They say they cannot test it. All they can do is to check remotely to see if the function is on, but that's where the issue is. The function is always on, but it never kicks in. Again, it did work for me for a few minutes when i turned it off and on, but that was it.

2023 Tesla MODEL X

While operating my vehicle, it is required to use turn signals to indicate turning intention to other drivers. Even after thousands of miles of use, the 'capacitive touch' buttons on the steering wheel that tesla has are unsafe, unusable, and infuriating. These buttons are difficult to locate, difficult to engage with and impossible to use quickly or reliably. Every tesla without turn signal stalks should be recalled. I often press the wrong button, no button, or just have to simply give up on signaling because it is impossible to safely or reliably use the buttons provided. Turn signal stalks are easier, faster, more reliable, and thus safer. Please help end this nonsense by requiring tesla to fix this. Thank you.

Car tends to brake in autopilot without having any car in front causing jolt feeling and dangerous scenario for vehicles behind. Suspension work like upper control, half shafts, ball joints, toe and struts been replaced 5 times. One time entire wheel came off.

2020 Tesla MODEL X
  • Date of Incident: Mar-21, 2024
  • Date complaint filed: Mar-25, 2024
  • Failed components: STEERING, ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, and LANE DEPARTURE: WARNING

On [xxx], while driving my second tesla model x on [xxx] from carson city back to reno at the speed of 79 mph on autopilot, the same sudden loud alarming situation occurred, with 1. Park assist unavailable 2. Steering assist reduced 3. Adaptive ride control degraded 4. Traction control disabled 5. Stability control disabled 6. Lane departure avoidance features unavailable 7. Automatic emergency braking is unavailable 8. Automatic vehicle hold disabled. I drove to s stop, the car can't park but remained in neutral gear. Can't hard reset. With my prior experience 1 month ago, i changed it into tow mode several times, finally was able to switch into park mode then was able to do a hard reset. When i brought in to tesla, they said it's the same problem, steering rack issue. Another $5300 is gone. How can i be so unlucky to be hit with same model, different year, same problem, same driving condition and almost same place on earth, and both out of warranty and i have to pay in full? There must be manufacture defect on this!!!!!! Information redacted pursuant to the freedom of information act (foia), 5 u. S. C. 552(b)(6)

2018 Tesla MODEL X
  • Date of Incident: Feb-07, 2024
  • Date complaint filed: Mar-25, 2024
  • Failed components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, STEERING, and FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING

I was driving on [xxx] from carson city to reno in washoe valley while on autopilot, the car suddenly alerted with very loud alarms, showed 1. Steering assist reduced, 2. Automatic emergency braking is unavailable 3. Traction control disabled 4. Stability control disabled 5. Park assist unavailable. I pulled over to a safe parking area. Then the car locked out for 75 mins, in neutral gear, can't shut off, can't park, can't reset the car at all even after talking to tesla support. While waiting for the tow truck, i turned it into tow mode, was able to change into park mode finally, and hard reset the car. I took it in and tesla told me the steering system was the problem and i was out of warranty so i had to pay a lot of money to repair/replace it.
