Autopilot began beeping with messages to pay attention while on highway. Moving the wheel did not remove message to the point car was shaking in lane due to turning the wheel. Warning beeps and messages got louder and more distracting and would not go away until brake petal was used at highway speeds to disengage autopilot.

The component that tesla has stated is the part that is failing is the mcu (media control unit) which was a recalled part at one point but then tesla decided to replace only a single part of the mcu which was the emmc (embedded multimedia card). Luckily the vehicle was not driving when it completely shut down and would not start back up but i was stuck in a restaurants drive-thru for roughly 4 hours till i could get a tow truck to come tow it. The tow truck had to put the car on dollies as the vehicle would not enter tow mode nor would it enter its emergency neutral mode so the vehicle could be moved. The windows would not go up or down and luckily the trunk was able to open because if not then i would have been stuck outside my vehicle as the door handles did not come out after i got out of it and closed the door behind me. Please read the messages from the tech as you will see that they tried to act as if they did not know what was going on with my vehicle but then i asked something else and they stated exactly what the issue was but supposedly could not confirm it was that unless they charged me a diagnosis fee and "got hands on" which i'm sure that info of what was wrong with my vehicle was nothing they needed to get their hands on. There were no warning lamps or messages until the vehicle shut off on me in the drive-thru and then the warnings started to populate staying that the vehicle was off, vehicle could not detect brake being pressed, and that the vehicle was not detecting the key. The repair estimate is no longer available in my app for some reason, probably because i did not repair the vehicle as they were wanting me to upgrade to the new mcu that is in the current vehicles and it would have been roughly $2,400. 00. Just today, the vehicle would not start, would not move my seat or anything to its memorized position when i got in the vehicle and the screen was frozen, just as it did when the original recall happened of the mcu/emmc, photo/videoattached.

On 4/17/2024 while exiting bank drive up lane in parking garage car suddenly accelerated from 5mph to maximum, both feet on brake had no effect, drive lever did not engage neutral or reverse. Car exited garage and was able to be steered onto median into a tree to stop car. Air bags deployed. Thankfully no one injured, if there had been a pedestrian or another car there would have been a bad outcome. Attempted to contact tesla but unsuccessful locating telephone number or online contact to report, was able to send text to 24 hour tech assistance line, no response as of now.

2022 Tesla MODEL S

This vehicle does not have a fully functional horn. To activate the horn, you must press a tiny area located in the upper right part of the yoke. The area to activate the horn is less than 1-inch wide. The horn is virtually worthless when you need it such as when someone is running a light or changing into your lane, etc. Because you can't find the horn activation area in an emergency, you are unable to warn others about dangers as you are required to do by texas law. This has been corrected in later made model s and they now have the horn sound by pressing anywhere in the large area in the center of the yoke. I've brought this to tesla's attention but they refuse to repair or replace the yoke. They will do so at a cost of $2,300. Ironically, they will replace the yoke under warranty if the yoke's cover is peeling or cracking - a known defect. Cosmetic - they fix. Safety - they refuse to fix. Please consider issuing a notice to tesla that they fix the horns on their 2022 model s.

Emmc failed prior to recall and was replaced by 3rd party vendor. Recall reimbursement was denied. Emailed tesla multiple times without response

Left and right upper control arms failed, as did both front lower lateral links. Same issues as the vehicles recalled as part of 2 different recalls by tesla: [xxx] car requires over $2,000 of out of warranty repairs despite this clearly being a manufacturer defect and car should have been included as part of the previous recall(s). Hello, thank you for taking the time to address this issue. As you may already be aware, the honk button is not centrally located on the steering wheels of model x or s vehicles. This has led to several instances where cars backing up in parking lots have nearly collided with my vehicle because i instinctively honk to alert them. Tesla has recently redesigned the honk button, moving it to the center instead of the touch thumb button on the right side. I strongly urge tesla to consider replacing the steering wheel to place the honk button at the center for improved safety. Thank you for your attention to this matter. Your consideration is greatly appreciated.

This vehicle has a flawed design for the horn. It has been relocated away from the center of the steering wheel to a small section (1") of a plastic panel on the "spoke" of the steering wheel. It is extremely difficult to locate this spot, particularly in an emergency (what horns are for in the first place... ). A vehicle backed into me while i was stopped at a traffic signal and i was unable to alert that vehicle of my presence. They struck my vehicle and caused damage. Thankfully no one was hurt (this time) and the damage was minimal. This design is flawed and is destined to lead to unnecessary traffic accidents and injured or killed occupants. It is unbelievable that such a design has been allowed for a vehicle.
