There were no warnings or signs of failure prior to the crash.

Engine Maintenance Required Alert popped up on my vehicle. It’s a 2019 RAV4 with barely 60k mileage on it that I bought new off the dealership back in 2019. They are charging me $800 to get the coolant bypass valve repaired, but this is a known issue that all RAV4’s are experiencing (regardless if it’s at 20k or 100k miles)

The front driver's seat is loose and has movement/play. Described by dealer service tech as a 'wobble'. Seat is not fully secure/stable. Vehicle was taken to original delivery dealer (dublin toyota, 4321 toyota dr, dublin ca 94568) for inspection, ro#569625. The vehicle was returned without the issue being corrected. Received verbal response that the dealer was not able to do anything about it (incl replacement of components, etc. And was told other 2023 model year tacomas exhibit the same behavior of the loose driver's seat). Called and spoke with toyota brand engagement (800) 331-4331 as instructed by the service advisor. Ticket was recorded as case 240326001302 and was closed without solving the issue. I was advised by the toyota case in that case 240326001302, where the agent recommended i speak with another dealer (livermore toyota) to get a second opinion before the case could get escalated. The vehicle was not repaired and i was sent home with the loose seat. Per the description from repair order 569625, on 3/26/2024: "cause: driver's seat seems loose and wobbles. Remove seat assembly and check all hardware. Everything checked ok. Reinstall seat and tighten mounting bolts. Check with another 2023 tacoma vin#3tmcz5an5pm627083. Driver's seat operation is the same. Thank you 2426" i strongly believe that a loose driver's seat that exhibits 'wobble' is unsafe and also causes discomfort / lack of confidence for the driver.

Toyota's design of their dash mounted "infotainment" display screen software requires reentry of a 6 digit pin any time vehicle internet connectivity is lost. This interrupts the map routing display that appears on the display screen through sources such as apple carplay. This toyota software designed interruption of the route display represents a safety hazard in that it prompts the driver to take their eyes off the road to screw around with entering a 6 digit pin code. Worse still, according to toyota documentation, every time vehicle internet connectivity is interrupted, this same prompt to enter a pin is displayed. Apple carplay and i'm sure other map apps are not designed so poorly as to require the driver to reauthenticate their credentials upon loss of internet connectivity. I feel the design of toyota's infotainment system software represents an unacceptable safety risk to american drivers.
