PURCHASED A USED 2015 Camry SE SHORTLY AFTER PURCHASING THE VEHICLE THE DRIVABILITY HAS BEEN BECOMING A ESCALATING CONCERN. WHILE ACCELERATING WHEN THE CAR WILL SHUDDER BETWEEN 1000 & 2000 RPM MOSTLY BETWEEN 25-45 MPH. HAVE TRIED THE RELEARN PROCESS 3X THEN WHEN THAT HAS PROVEN NOT TO WORK (SHUDDER STARTS TO HAPPEN MINUTES AFTER RELEARN). TOOK THE VEHICLE IN TO THE DEALERSHIP FOR A DIAGNOSIS WHICH COST $160. DIAGNOSED WITH A BAD TORQUE CONVERTER. REPAIR ESTIMATES $2450. 46. MAJOR SAFETY CONCERNS BECAUSE OF THE LOSS OF POWER WHILE DRIVING AND THE ERRATIC SHIFTING OF GEARS

THE CONTACT STATED WHILE ATTEMPTING TO OVERTAKE ANOTHER VEHICLE WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DEPRESSED, THE RPM REVVED UP HOWEVER, THE VEHICLE FAILED TO RESPOND. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS NO WARNING LIGHT ILLUMINATED. ON ANOTHER OCCASION WHILE DRIVING AT 45 MPH, THE VEHICLE DECELERATED WITH THE ACCELERATOR PEDAL DEPRESSED. THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE FAILURE RECURRED TWICE. THE VEHICLE WAS TAKEN TO TOYOTA OF ROCKWALL LOCATED AT 1250 E INTERSTATE 30, ROCKWALL, TX 75087, (469) 331-8372, HOWEVER, THE MECHANIC WAS UNABLE TO DUPLICATE THE FAILURE. THE VEHICLE WAS NOT REPAIRED. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE BY MAIL. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS 6,900.
At any given time, while driving slow or stopped, i will push on the gas pedal and a 1 0r 2 second lapse will occur before my car moves forward. This has almost caused me to hit my another car!!!!!!
The steering becomes unresponsive for a period of time, sometimes pulls one way other times the other way. Then it works fine, this has been happening for several days and is very unpredictable and dangerous when you control of your steering ability. It always happens when in motion, and it? S happened both on city streets and highway going at 20 mph and when on highway it seemed to correct it self at 50-60 mph??
I can still drive the car but what i think is defective is that, with the car parked, i can push the brake pedal all the way to the floor. There are no leaks of brake fluid so it must be going into the antillock braking system. There must be an internal leak within the abs and i'm concerned that might affect it's functionality.
New vehicle, pristine condition. Highway driving, open space, straight line. No trees, cars, trucks, overpasses, etc. In vicinity. Weather overcast, no rain. Without warning, sunroof glass exploded outward. Glass pieces did fall inside, but mostly blew out and back, gouging rear window and causing significant paint damage on trunk. Size of blowout hole approximately 24"x13". Toyota says not their fault, clearly a rock hit it.
THIS COMPLAINT CONCERNS STEERING ISSUES RELATED TO A BAD CELL IN BATTERY. FOR THE PAST YEAR THE CAR HAS RANDOMLY PULLED RIGHT AND LEFT AND VEERED WHILE ON THE HIGHWAY. PULLING WAS MOST PRONOUNCED WHEN ACCELERATING AND STOPPING. THE PULLING COULD BE EXTREME AT TIMES ESPECIALLY THEN TURNING, THE CAR WOULD PULL THE OTHER WAY. THE ISSUE WAS ERRATIC AND COULD NOT BE REPLICATED FOR THE CAR REPAIR SHOP. I HAD THE TIRES ROTATED TWICE AND AN ALIGNMENT WHICH DID NOT SOLVE THE ISSUE. LOCAL DEALERSHIP WAS NOT HELPFUL. CAME ACROSS INTERNET CAR BLOG THAT LINKED FAULTY BATTERY TO UNSAFE STEERING FOR Camry'S THEN FOUND MULTIPLE REFERENCES FOR THIS ISSUE ONLINE. CHANGED OUT THE BATTERY AND THE STEERING ISSUE IS RESOLVED.

THE CONTACT STATED THAT THE VEHICLE WAS SERVICED UNDER NHTSA CAMPAIGN NUMBER: 20V012000 (FUEL SYSTEM, GASOLINE) AT THOMASVILLE TOYOTA LOCATED AT 14724 US-19, THOMASVILLE, GA 31757. AFTER RETRIEVING THE VEHICLE, THE CONTACT STATED THAT THERE WAS AN ABNORMAL FUEL ODOR COMING FROM THE REAR OF THE VEHICLE. THE SAME DEALER WAS CONTACTED AND INFORMED OF THE ISSUE. THE CONTACT WAS REFERRED TO THE MANUFACTURER TO FILE A COMPLAINT. THE MANUFACTURER WAS INFORMED OF THE FAILURE AND A CASE WAS FILED. THE FAILURE MILEAGE WAS APPROXIMATELY 8,000.
The battery of car runs at 12v when idle and power never has been more then that. Either manufacture installed a poor quality batt. Or defective one. Please ck into this. Thanks. Other lssue is noise engine compare to other hybrids.
CAR PULLS SHARPLY TO THE RIGHT OR LEFT AFTER STARTING UP AND DRIVING. IF I STOP AND TURN OF THE IGNITION AND RESTART THE CAR IT WILL RUN PROPERLY. THIS SEEMS TO HAPPEN IF I PARK THE CAR AND HAVE THE WHEELS TURNED TO THE RIGHT OR LEFT AS WHEN YOU ARE ON A HILL. I HAVE COME CLOSE TO HAVING AN ACCIDENT SEVERAL TIMES UNTIL I REALIZED I COULD CORRECT THE PULLING BY STOPPING AND RESTARTING THE VEHICLE WITH THE WHEELS POINTING STRAIGHT.THE 2015 Camry HAS A RECALL ON THE STEERING ISSUE (#15V144000) BUT TOYOTA MANUFACTURER STATES THAT MY VIN # ISN'T COVERED UNDER THAT RECALL. I HAVE SEEN NUMEROUS COMPLAINTS (50+) ON LINE AND WITH BLUEBOOK ON THE SAME ISSUE. I DON'T SEE ANY INVESTIGATION ON THIS ISSUE ON THE NHTSA WEBSITE. MAYBE THE RECALL NEEDS TO BE EXPANDED. IF I PAY TOYOTA TO FIX THE ISSUE AND A RECALL IS ISSUED IS TOYOTA REQUIRED TO REIMBURSE ME? THE PROBLEM STARTED SPORADICALLY IN MARCH 2020 BUT MORE OFTEN NOW. WITH COVID-19 I HAVEN'T BEEN DRIVING REGULARLY.
While driving to pick up my niece from school, the brake light came on and brakes completely locked. I Álmost had an accident, if it weren? T for me driving off the road and finally coming to a stop because of the sand. Scary scary scary!!!! After it came to a stop all the lights on dashboard came on. Towed it to toyota service they? Re saying it? S the brake actuator i? Ve been doing my research and it just happens last year over more than 1. 1 million toyota? S were recalled for the same problem.
I HAVE 2018 Toyota Camry AND THIS IS THE VERY FIRST TIME THAT I HAVE HAD A PROBLEM WITH MY GAS TANK LATCH NOT OPENING UP. I REPORTED THIS TO DICK DYER TOYOTA AND THEY WANT TO CHARGE ME FOR THIS ISSUE. I DON?T KNOW WHAT ELSE TO DO, BUT IF I?M DRIVING BY MYSELF AND I NEED GAS I WILL NOT BE ABLE TO OPEN MY GAS TANK TO THIS ISSUE. PLEASE HELP!!!
My car will randomly stall after driving several hours on the freeway and sometimes will not start up. I am concerned that it will stall while driving on the freeway leading to a crash. My car is not involved under toyota's fuel pump recall but i have verified that my fuel pressure goes to near 0 psi when the condition happens (former toyota technician) and the symptoms are exactly the same as outlined in the recall. I have contacted two toyota technicians from my local dealer and said they would not be able to duplicate it due to having to drive so long and as a result they would not be able to provide a fix for me. I would be tempted to purchase a new fuel pump, however if toyota doesn't know about this issue on my car, the part will not be updated and will likely to have the same result.
During mid 30's and below, my car does not get up to operating temperature. It sits near the cold mark and i have inadequate heat output through my vents which makes it very hard to see when i'm driving in the winter months. I have had to pull over several times to clean my windshield because the defroster isn't strong enough to melt the ice. I've replaced the thermostat (former toyota technician) and it still produces the same results. I've talked to some toyota technicians and they have no explanation. Please note in my picture i've attached the 28 minutes of drive time with an average speed of 39 mph with my near cold temp gauge.
The first problem: the car has acceleration delays, it bucks and lags when switching lanes and driving in heavy traffic. The car jerks when accelerating at slow speeds. I almost got into a serious accident due to the acceleration delays when making a left in heavy traffic. The second problem is, i received a vehicle alert message on may 30th at 10:30am regarding the srs airbag system. "a malfunction in the srs airbag system has been detected. Contact your toyota dealer to have your vehicle inspected. " the airbag check light never lighted so i didn't see this message until a month in a half later. Dangerous for my passenger which is usually my oldest son. The car is in the dealership now and they are trying to figure out the airbag issue. I feel unsafe in my car due to acceleration delays. The vin# is not in the recall list and i do not understand why not. It has the same issues as the other cars being recalled. The third problem: very randomly the seat belt alert alarm will start beeping while i'm driving my smallest son. Both of us have our seat belts and i do not own a big heavy bag. The car wont stop until i pull over, park, turn it off and on. This is not normal but it happens very randomly.
MY POWER STEERING WHEEL IS MAKING LOUD NOISES WHEN MAKING TURNS WHILE DRIVING AND WHILE ON STANDBY SUCH AS ON THE DRIVEWAY AT HOME. THIS MAKE, MODEL, AND YEAR INDICATES THAT THE Toyota Camry 2016 HAS AN ELECTRIC POWER STEERING MEANING IT DOES NOT RUN OF STEERING FLUID. I DO NOT KNOW WHAT CAUSED THIS ISSUE BUT IT STARTED HAPPENING AFTER THE 4TH OF JULY 2020. MY CAR IS SALVAGED BUT IT WAS ONLY SLIGHTLY REAR ENDED ON THE LEFT SIDE, ONLY EXTERNAL DAMAGE AND NO INTERNAL DAMAGE. THE MILES ON THE VEHICLE IS 62,000. I?VE READ ONLINE THAT THIS IS AN OCCURRING ISSUE WITH ALL TOYOTA CAMRYS WITH ELECTRICAL STEERING. THE VEHICLE IS USED TO DRIVE TO GROCERY STORES, WORK, COLLEGE, AND ROAD TRIPS. ALIGNMENT AND ROTATION IS DONE ROUTINELY AND THE TIRES HAVE BEEN RECENTLY CHANGED. I DON?T NOT SPEED ON MY TURNS AND I DON?T PUT ANY PRESSURE ON MY STEERING WHEEL WHEN TURNING. I CURRENTLY DON?T KNOW WHY IT?S MAKING SOUND WHEN TURNING THE STEERING WHEEL BUT I HOPE IT ISN?T AN ISSUE THAT WILL CAUSE AN ACCIDENT IN THE FUTURE.
Wife driving to family reunion, rural road, she passed out, missed turn in road. Car went of road and hit a ditch. Car rolled several times. Wife's neck broken (she lived) admitted to hospital. Remained in hospital for about 3 weeks then physical therapy for months. Never received recall notice. All air bags opened except the drivers side
IN STOP AND GO TRAFFIC, TRAVELING AT SLOW SPEEDS WITH AC ON IN THE MIDDLE OF SUMMER, IF CHANGING TO A FASTER LANE, HAVING THE GAS FLOORED, THE CAR WOULDN'T ACCELERATE/DOWN SHIFT THAT LASTED ABOUT 5-10 SECONDS BEFORE IT ACCELERATED. ONE TIME, A CAR THAT WAS TWO CARS IN FRONT OF ME PULLED OUT AND HE WAS GONE, WHILE I WAS STILL SITTING THERE WITH NO ACCELERATION AND ANOTHER CAR QUICKLY APPROACHING FROM THE REAR! I WAS TOLD THAT OTHERS WERE COMPLAINING ABOUT THESE ISSUES, THEY FELT THE PROBLEM BUT IT IS NORMAL OPERATIONS FOR THE 4 CYL Camry'S, THAT THE TRANSMISSION IS COMPUTER CONTROLLED, AND THERE WASN'T ANYTHING THEY COULD DO UNTIL TOYOTA PUT OUT A MOD FOR THE COMPUTER. THEY SAID TOYOTA SHOULD HAVE SOMETHING OUT SOON WITH ALL THE COMPLAINTS, BUT IT HAS BEEN ALMOST A YEAR AND NO REPAIR AVAILABLE.
