The blind spot monitor and rear traffic alert have now turned themselves off 3 times. Each time it will not turn back on by selecting in menu. All 3 incidents have required a trip to the dealer to fix. This is dangerous because when you start the car, there is no warning that they are not on.
My id4 windshield chips very easily and in fact i have had it for less then 1 year and small rocks on freeway damaged windshield and had to replace it out of my pocket. Even after getting new windshield it’s chipping again. The glass is hazardous as i am afraid it will break easily when compared with other cars. Cars speedometer turn off due to vw software glitch while driving so in the middle of freeway drivers would have no idea on speed and can cause accidents.
On 4/6/24 the steering wheel locked while driving the car. Causing the car to go off the road into a 40 ft ditch and hit a tree
Rear coil spring broke while driving about 50 mph in a straight line. A loud bang was heard in the rear of the car. This was confirmed by the dealer during an oil change. I see that this was a recall for other 2019 VW Jetta models.
On march 6, 2024 i received a crack in my windshield while driving that spans nearly the entire width across the windshield at driver's eye level. Volkswagen has informed me that there are zero replacement windshields for this vehicle available in the entire country. I have attempted to work with volkswagen directly, the originating dealership directly and 3rd party safety glass retailers. There is no anticipated date that the manufacturer is going to make this windshield part available and the vehicle is unsafe to drive. This vehicle is brand new and it is unacceptable that the manufacturer is not required to manufacture and make available important safety components to service these vehicles while still selling the exact same vehicles as new.
-It is not pumping gas correctly, it started out as while I pump gas it will stop frequently. I brought it to the mechanic and they replaced the evap system canister & now (while pumping) it stops even more frequently than before. Now I can only pump about 3/4 full & when I get to "full" it overflows. -I believe it is a safety concern because it is the fuel tank system. -It is available for inspection. -The problem hasn't been reproduced, it has been confirmed that 2019 VW Jetta GLI, 2019 VW Golf Sportwagen's, as well as some Audi's have been recalled for this problem. Has been confirmed that this is how it starts out. -No, there were not any indicators or symptoms prior to the problem beginning. It first started at the end of January of 2024.
The seat unlocked indicator does not activate showing that the seat is locked and safe to sit in. I informed the dealer in 2019 and filed a complaint when my child’s car seat was in an unlocked seat.
The contact owns a 2017 volkswagen gti. The contact received notification of nhtsa campaign number: 24v110000 (fuel system, gasoline) however, the part to do the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The dealer was made aware of the issue. The manufacturer was made aware of the issue and confirmed that parts were not yet available. The contact had not experienced a failure. Vin tool confirms parts not available.
The emergency braking system caused a rear accident. Leaving at fault " unable to control vehicles ", listed by state farm, resulting in a personal injury claim with no injuries for $475,000. 00 all parties including volkswagen will be sued. The vehicle has caused loss of employment and a lawsuit on top of that i'm still paying a $586. 00 car note and $686. 00 car insurance just for me to drive now. I'm mad asf!!!!
Upon backing out of a parking spot a vehicle approached at a fast rate of speed. The rear cross-path sensor and emergency braking activated. This action caused the brake line to rupture and the brakes failed on the vehicle. I resumed reversing out of the parking spot and put the vehicle into drive. Once i applied the brake, the pedal went to the floor with total brake system loss. The vehicle was towed to armstrong volkswagen in gladstone, oregon. The dealer found the rear passenger side brake like had ruptured due to it rubbing on the fuel filler neck shield. The sudden increase in brake line pressure caused the final failure of the brake line. The brake line was repaired under warranty. This could have been a significant life threatening situation had i been traveling at high speeds and the brake system failed (i. E. Exiting an interstate, etc. ).
