  • Failed components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM, POWER TRAIN, and ENGINE

My vehicle has stalled out before for no reason and the dealership is unable to help in diagnosing the issue without a fault code. This issue has been ongoing since i purchased my vehicle in 2021. Three years later as i was making a sharp left turn going very slow my car stalled out, engine light came on and i received a start/stop error along with a message stating to restart the engine manually. Again this has been happing since i purchased brand new from dealership. Every turn i make going uphill, my vehicle stutters and rpms revved up which is very unsafe and has me on constant alert. Now that an engine code appeared, i am out of warranty and dealership still refuses to help with the issue. Code fault i received from engine light is p0496.

I know there is a Shift Lever Micro Switch Recall for the Volkswagen Jetta up to the year 2018. My car is the 2019 model and I am getting the error message for this issue. Can the recall be expanded to include the 2019 model? For now, I am setting my parking brake to keep my car from possibly rolling when I park.

2012 Volkswagen CC
  • Date of Incident: Jan-22, 2024
  • Date complaint filed: Apr-23, 2024
  • Failed components: FUEL/PROPULSION SYSTEM and FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: AUTOMATIC EMERGENCY BRAKING

Well first off there was a recall on my year make and model but i guess it only lasted like a couple years. So twice already my fuel pump. Has needed to be replaced. Which is what the recall was for. So i was driving in the fast lane on the freeway when out of nowhere my car just stalled putting me and my passenger in risk of being rammed from behind. I've had to take it too a mechanic two or three times so they can fix the same thing. I have the invoice from the repairs. Also i can be driving and the emergency brake will just engage by itself not having been touched by anyone or anything. It puts me and my passenger at risk for whiplash due to the fact that it engages when i'm driving. No warning lite come on i've just felt the jolt almost causing me to hit my head on the windshield. Please help. Thank you sincerely luis enrique figueroa

VIN: [XXX] Dealership: Vanguard Volkswagen 6900 Burnet Rd Austin, TX 78757 I bought 2020 Passat back in Aug 2020 with CarNet included. It was showing that CarNet will be installed later when available at no cost. So in 2021 they installed carnet and everything was working fine up until 2024. The light turned off and no connection to the car. I called CarNet and they told me that most likely an issue with HW module and suggested to take to the dealer to get reset/replaced. Went to the dealer few days ago. Left them a car for 3 days for diag. No fault codes. So dealer sent a ticket to the Volkswagen to see how to proceed. I got a call from dealership today that Volkswagen responded to them that 2020 Passat is no longer eligible for the CarNet. Excuse me? At the time of sale CarNet was included. It was working fine no issues. And now Volkswagen taking car feature away that it came with and I paid for.. • Failed components: ELECTRICAL SYSTEM and FORWARD COLLISION AVOIDANCE: WARNINGS

On [xxx], i took this vehicle to galpin vw for service on the collision warning system which began to malfunction on a daily basis and would spontaneously come on multiple times throughout the day, without any other vehicles in front of me nor around me. The service advisor at this service center, pedro silva, declared to me and my wife that this vehicle was unsafe to drive and stated that he is in contact with vw and their engineering department which instructed to run additional tests on this vehicle. This vehicle now has been in service for this same issue for 6 days and running, including the previous attempt to fix this same issue at winn vw earlier in the week, which failed to result in any correction. The galpin advisor further stated that he can not release the vehicle to us in this condition and must continue working on this serious issue in which we agreed, since we can not accept such a vehicle in this extremely dangerous condition.
