Rear passenger door was unable to be opened via door handles either from inside or outside the vehicle which could trap occupant inside
The airbag system detected a fault and caused an automated vehicle warning message, which, with further dealer diagnosis, caused the driver seat belt to have a ground fault issue, preventing the normal, safe, and fully operating vehicle airbags. The cause and what must be replaced to rectify the problem are unknown. Volvo has poor customer support and satisfaction regarding avoidable repairs, along with various documented airbag failure incidents confirming a severe issue with its system components that require government oversight and correction through a recall to ensure the safety and reliability of the safety systems that protect lives.
I was driving in the right hand lane on a two lane road where the speed limit is 30mph. While the road was curving to the left slightly the vehicle's collision avoidance system was triggered and swerved the car into the left lane towards on coming traffic and cutting off a car behind me. The road was completely empty in front of me. It created a dangerous situation for no reason. I have dashcam footage that captured the moment the car intervened that i can provide if requested, i'm unable to upload video on this portal.
Installation of geotab telematics devices on entire fleet of 2024 volvos (regardless of model) resulted in sporadic, unplanned and random acceleration, engine revving, transmission shifting, switching from electric (hybrid mode) to gas mode. Vehicle lurches and surges.

The right side module buttons on steering wheel stops working
Driver’s side side view mirror moves to a different location each time car is entered/started. Saving pre-set location of mirror does not hold. Even after a repositioning and saving, or repositioning without saving, the mirror on left side is horizontally in a different spot. This is a safety issue as one usually expects mirrors to be where they were left previously using the mirror controls. Car has been into dealer multiple times for a fix which included both software and hardware attempts. Appears to be known problem based on on-line review. Mirror should stay in a fixed position unless driver wants to relocate. If not risk of visibility issue is large.

The cause of the fire was not yet determined. The manufacturer was not yet notified of the failure. The local dealer was contacted. The failure mileage was 11,000
Under acceleration, there is a knocking/loud rattling sound from both front axles and constant velocity joints. I am a former master technician and this is clearly a serious issue with these axles as they cannot tolerate the huge torque output from the electric motor. This is also a mechanical safety issue as if this issue is not rectified by volvo, the axles could disintegrate leading to loss of control.
Volvo dealer describe as issue: motor mounts: front lower engine mount collapsed, other engine mount not yet verified. Power steering: stiff and hard to turn wheels. Transmission: transmission shift sometimes is not easy to move up to down.
